I am the head of the R&D and Products department of a large transaction processor and gaming system.

When we embarked on this project we realised that the technology and skillset was outside the primary core business of what we do. We engaged with Arcade Dev House to help with the online architecture, skill up the team on new technologies and help us push the product BAU.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We selected Arcade Dev House because they were more interested in solving the requirement rather than entertaining their own skillsets. They worked in well with our team as a result.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

Firstly we identified the data than needed to be transported and worked with Arcade to develop a safe solution to deliver data with layers of redundancy so as not to impede the current products offered off the identical data sets.

Once we had the internal mechanics worked out and operating we used the Arcade Dev House resources and their cloud computing contacts to engage in data transportations, aggregation and delivery.

We worked with a team of engineers a product manager and executive technical directors to achieve the result we were after.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Moving the data to the cloud and aggregating and filtering the results to ensure secure delivery of the data was a key moment in the project. Enabling all the end points and watching the data flow through to the consumable lake for the customer was key to the project success.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow between the two teams was very positive. There are multiple channels managed from their PM back and forth from both teams that allow the team members to progress their tasks while minimizing roadblocks.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The Arcade Dev House are a refreshing new take on collaborative R&D. They took time to understand not only the requirement but our business so they knew all the internal language and terminology speeding up the process considerably and making it a pleasure to work with as they acted as an extension of our team.

Several workshops / Creating BRD / Creating SRS / Iterative app development with functional & UAT testing after each stage / Go-live and hyper care. For now we have a service agreement with Arcade.

The app has been successfully working and going through some transformations (add-ons and performance improvement through archiving/ re-programming) in the last 5 years. This was and remains a vital tool for our commercial team

In some cases , when I lodge a ticket, I don't get any response for days/ weeks. It would be great, if you can provide a regular feedback on what the status of incident is without me sending a remainder.
