Went went through a process to find a well qualified local professional & Gordon Productions, LLC made the best impression.

Karen began the project by meeting me at the factory to see the equipment & so we could develop a game plan. I had a broad vision & Karen was able to take those ideas & craft an executable strategy. She scoured operations & maintenance manuals to develop a working script. We collaborated & had a path forward.

Her team met us onsite where they filmed the videos. Karen did an incredible job of knowing where to set up the camera, how to get the actor to perform in a way that it would look good on film & guiding the process. After it was shot, Karen was incredible at cutting the film together & eliciting feedback. They took every feedback and made something amazing. Throughout every step of the process, she was a true professional.

Karen's team consisted of three professionals. She directed & produced. There was a cameraman who did a remarkable job. There was also a production assistant that took care of a number of important tasks.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

It's too early to tell since it just wrapped up but I'm confident the videos Karen crafted for us are going to be tremendously beneficial. It's high quality work.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

It was incredible. Any hold ups were on my end. Karen is a rockstar. She truly is remarkable at this. I'm eager to use their services again in the future.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Professionalism. Through every step of this process Karen made it seem easy when I know it couldn't have been. She is uniquely talented.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

No. Nothing whatsoever. Gordon Productions, LLC is a company you should absolutely hire if you are looking to produce digital content. Fantastic company.

I'm the business analyst at Oliden Technology. Oliden Technology is an oil service company manufactures LWD and MWD Tools.

Our company has developed many new products recent years, so we decided to have an updated video to show on OTC which focus on our new facility and new products.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We looked for video production companies in Houston via google. I sent email to couple companies, and Gordon Production replied me first.

We started with a discovering meeting in our facility. Ms. Gordon had a tour of our facility and products, and we communicates about what we want to show in the video. Then we worked together to settle up the script. On video shot day, Ms. Gordon and her team worked more than 10 hours in our facility and produced much beautiful footage. Afterwards, we had worked together and communicate with phones and emails about editing and script. Lastly we had a very nice video to play on OTC.

I worked with Ms. Karen Gordon. The process was very nice and smooth.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We played the video on OTC show, and it was very attractive. People just stopped by and watched it carefully. Also, a number of them came talk to us for a further cooperation. This video helped us gained many information about potentially customers.

Ms. Karen was very nice and professional. She always put our needs as first, and very easy to communicate. When we decided to change something on script or video, she always responded and changed very fast. I really appreciate her patience.

They took a lot of time to know more about our company. Also, she always put our needs on first, and come back with a lot of professional ideas in unique perspective.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

No.

I am the Director of Marketing for SenesTech. We are a biotechnology company that manufactures a fertility control product for the pest management industry.

For what projects/services did your company hire Gordon Productions, LLC?

I began working on an animation tool to demonstrate what happens with you add our product to an existing IPM program in March 2019. I quickly realized that my agency of record was not the optimal source for me to use to develop out a full animation.

What were your goals for this project?

The ultimate goal to the project was to be able to portray to a PMP what happens when you add our product to their current program. We were able to release this at our largest tradeshow in the industry - PestWorld. This project has allowed people to visually and conceptually understand what happens based on rodent population dynamics to their program when you add a fertility control program to their existing program.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

I have worked with Karen in the past, in a prior life and company. When I realized I was not obtaining the end result that I wanted, I knew that she had the aptitude and knowledge to take our thought/idea and begin from the start to create a visual piece that we could not put together.

Describe the video(s) and the process in detail.

The video turned out amazing. What took the longest was the accuracy of our storyboard, which had nothing to do with Karen and her team. This had more to do with us ensuring the rodent population dynamics were as accurate as possible to ensure the video was credible. My role within the entire project was ideation, project editing, review, and ensuring the technical team reviewed and approved all components. The vendor was responsible for a finished video animation, of which she was able to even animation our product logo.

What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?

Karne was the main person I worked with during the entire process.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We have now had the piece out for about 2 weeks. I will begin to track through google analytics the effects on website traffic in my KPIs going forward. More than one stakeholder has reached out directly to me to express positive comments in regards to how this actually tells the appropriate story for our industry.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We were very fluid in our process with this project.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Gordon Productions always has a way to visualize from the start what could best portray the idea at hand. This is what allowed us to successfully produce the best video.

Are there any areas for improvement?

The only room of improvement comes from the storyboard side internally, not with the production company.

I am the VP of business development at a midstream oil and gas inspection company.

What challenge were you trying to address with Gordon Productions, LLC?

We’re becoming more proactive as a company and we wanted to stand out. Our company has 19 different service lines and some of them are challenging to describe over the phone or on paper. We wanted to have videos to help explain these service lines.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Gordon Productions, LLC produced 10 videos for some of our various service lines. Karen (Owner, Gordon Productions, LLC) gave us a format for scripts, and this template was then passed to the service line managers to expand upon. We went back and forth until the scripts were correct. Originally she wanted to keep them shorter, but most of the managers wanted to take it a step further and give more detail. The videos quickly expanded, with the corporate one going from 3–4 minutes to 6 and a half and most of the service line videos hitting 3 minutes.

She shot all of the footage in one day, including drone shots. At that point, the scripts were ready and we had the talent on-site so it didn’t take too long. Karen took the footage and combined it with still images we provided and animated graphics.

We worked directly with Karen. 

How did you come to work with Gordon Productions, LLC?

We cast a wide net to find the right vendor. I originally started with 10 video companies, but quickly narrowed it down to three. Just from talking to Karen, I could tell that she could direct these 10 videos to completion. The cost was a consideration, but her dedication is what sold us on her. 

How much have you invested with them?

We invested about $30,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our project with Gordon Productions, LLC ran from March–August 2019.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

This is the first time we had ever done a video as a company, and there has been a desire to get this done for a long period of time. Everybody that I have talked to has really liked the videos and feels like they’ll be a big success. We just completed the projects to they haven’t really had a chance to be out in the marketplace, but people within the company really enjoy them.

How did Gordon Productions, LLC perform from a project management standpoint?

She was always very responsive. Obviously, the days she was on set or doing another video it might take longer. Completing 10 videos is quite the challenge, especially with all of the pictures and scripts associated with them, but she was a great project manager. Even though she didn’t really know any of the service lines that we were talking about, it was a remarkably smooth process.

What did you find most impressive about them?

It's obvious that she’s been doing this for a long time. She recognized that this was a difficult assignment but always kept moving forward. She stuck to the budget and the timeline, even if it meant taking sections where people mispronounced words to avoid having to reshoot. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I think that had either of us known the depth of information we were going to get into, we might have done a couple of things differently. Too many cooks spoil the broth, and we had a lot of people involved in this so it was kind fo a challenge to keep each of the videos separate. Karen did a great job keeping everything coordinated.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I’ve worked with other vendors in the past, and her approach was unique in that she started with scripts. It proved to be something that was needed, especially with the number of videos we were producing. Anytime that you start with a new vendor, you need to be very upfront and honest about what you’re looking for and what needs to be done.

I had worked with Karen at another company and I knew I could trust the quality of her work. She does a great job of diving into scripts and ensuring everything is ready for the day of the shoot so each shoot runs smoothly. 

How much have you invested with them?

It varies depending on the project, but we've probably spent an average of $15,000 for a 2–3 minute video. 

What is the status of this engagement?

The first set of videos we worked on took place between November–December 2017.

They're a top-notch team that's not only very organized and easy to work with, but more affordable compared to other quotes I've received from other vendors. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

I appreciate their flexibility and creativity. The whole process of brainstorming with their team is a lot of fun and we've produced some of my favorite videos with their team. Thanks to the level of preparation that goes into their work, we've actually been able to shoot two different videos in one day.
