BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

I was the CEO of Monkey Theory Sdn Bhd and we were running a 20 employees size company and office based in Selangor. We have organize many kinds of international franchise events such as Slide The City, Run For Your Lives, Black Light Slide, Run Out Marathon Series, Glowtopia Festival throughout SEA region in the last 7 years.

For what projects/services did your company hire GO Communications?

We have appointed GO Communications as our official PR agency to handle a several large events such as Slide The City in Putrajaya, Melaka, Kuantan, Johor Bahru, Pulau Pinang, Miri, Run For Your Lives Malaysia and of course Run Out Pahang Marathon. Each of these events were a huge success thanks to Go Communications in specialize crafting an overall marketing roadmap for our company.

What were your goals for this project?

Our goals are pretty simple, to get the most PR mileage, word of mouths, publicity and nevertheless the participation attendees and large sponsorship. We have been very fortunate enough to get some big help from GO Communications in assisting to close a several large sponsorship for many of our events.

How did you select GO Communications?

I went through Google and selected a few meetings with a several top PR agencies in the country and hence chosen GO Communications to be our company's PR arm for most of our projects.

Describe the scope of their work in detail.

GO Communications was specialize in helping us to craft a very detailing marketing roadmap and also to brainstorm all kinds of different viral strategies before implementing into our events roadmap. Not only that they setup all the interviews, press conference, press media publicity but also assisted us in the digital social media accounts. Peter De Kretser the CEO of GO Communications is a great, professional and certainly a PR wizard in the country who has helped our international events in many way of success!

What was the team composition?

They have a great mix of team composition when it comes to delivering a good quality results. We were given to a professional team which was a mixture of good leadership, servicing , creative and digital expert in handling our accounts. They were a great dynamic team and very flexible working with us.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

One of the successful event we had were Slide The City Putrajaya where we had lay down a 300 meters inflatable slides on a bridge in Putrajaya. We had successfully attracted 10,000pax of participants in a two days event and have had many large sponsors on board with us such as Spritzer, GoPro, Astro, MyFM and many more.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Both our team were able to work simultaneously and effectively throughout the entire preparation leading to the event day. Each of us were pretty clear with the given tasks and respective department. Of course there were a lot of communications exchange during the whole time but it turns out pretty good.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The leadership, management, creativity, flexibility and circle of networks that GO Communications has it all!

Are there any areas for improvement?

So far we have been really satisfied with their services and the outcome of all our major events.

To create a professional and yet quite personal approach to the market, as the company is based around me the person and yet the services I deliver are impacting at a business as well as personal level.

I started by meeting their CEO Peter de Kretser whom I got to know through personal reference.

The scope was primarily based around digital channels, as my work is delivered on a global basis and now primarily in a virtual context.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Was somewhat confused at the outset as to the approach to take, however time and my work with Go Communications has given me the clarity I wanted.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Very effective, always responsive, always listening.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their willingness to listen and accommodate my thoughts and feelings and yet their thinking outside of the box based on their experience.

As felt very much as a team, despite the active engagement of their CEO Peter de Kretser.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Nothing comes to mind.
