I'm the public relations and content manager at a technical college.

Our goal was to refresh some of our video assets and branding.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We were familiar with Gillespie Productions work and we knew we liked the high quality work they did for their clients.

The process was very easy. Our team and Gillespie Productions met to discuss the project and they created a statement of work. Once we agreed on the scope of the project, we had one more meeting where we discussed potential stories, important messaging, etc.

From there, Gillespie Productions really took over and created a turnkey situation for us. We worked to set up our interviewees and approve of locations.

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

We worked with the full team. Ongoing communication was easy -- Erin and Ryan both made sure they were answering any questions in a timely fashion. They really were in step with us until the project was finished.

The process – from our first meeting to the final product – could not have gone better. John and his team were patient, listened to our needs and we worked together to create a vision for this project. Most of all, they approach projects from a storytelling perspective. They value sound… they value video.. and they value writing.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They work very well together. You can see they respect each other in the field as they produce the content.

I'm the digital content curator with InitiativeOne. I aid in the development and production of our digital marketing strategy, eLearning production, and monthly Leadership Think Tanks. InitiativeOne seeks to help leaders eliminate drama so that teams come together to make better decisions and solve more problems.

For what projects/services did your company hire Gillespie Productions, and what were your goals?

We wanted to increase the production value for our growing digital audience. This involved more camera angles and a more interactive experience beyond the static shot we were accustomed to each month. We also wanted to repurpose this video content for different platforms post-event.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Gillespie Products was filming our Think Tanks, and we had worked with them on several other projects and had a fantastic experience. I came into the Think Tank project later than most of my colleagues and our contacts at Gillespie went above and beyond when bringing me up to speed on things and looking for new ways to elevate our content.

We moved quickly as this event occurs monthly. We started with a meeting and outlined our goals for the future, then Gillespie outlined some potential steps for changing that we could test at our next event. We switched platforms for streaming away from Zoom and Vimeo, giving us a higher-quality picture. It also allowed a more interactive chat room function for our virtual audience. Also, they implemented a switcher for the live stream so that we could seamlessly transition between different camera angles throughout the room. This change has dramatically improved the online viewing experience.

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

I have worked primarily with John Gillespie, Erin DeGroot, Danielle Wimberly, and Reed Shallue. They have all been fantastic to work with as we continue to move forward in this process. They have all been accommodating and communicative in getting timely feedback and changing the process. Everything moves quickly and timely.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We have grown our digital audience consistently each month since implementing this technology. Average total attendance has increased 65% for the year.

Primary communication occurs via email, and the video editing takes place over FrameIO. These tools make it very easy.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I think the people make the difference at Gillespie. They are an outstanding group.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Implementing a couple of the camera angles sooner could have been a change, but ultimately we had to test everything out to be aware of the updates. We're continuing to grow and notice things over time.
