We have recently opened our new training facility in Istanbul Turkey and we wanted to created some internal communication materials such as videos that we can introduce our training facility to our global teams. We have worked on a project where we can clearly describe and introduce our facility via some shoots from the center as well as customer interviews

Our global vendor, and European communication team had the initial communication with those vendors

First our communication team outlined the collaboration and created the narrative and then they handed over the on-site operation to us to work with the crew and they did the filming

We worked collaboratively with our global vendor, European Communication teams and our customers. Both the planning and execution parts went really smoothly

The projetc is very welcomed by our internal partners & employees

This was a kind of rush project thus we mainly communicated on phone & emails

They were really professionals, they also interacted with our customers during the filming and the way they managed the process enabled us to concentrate on our other projects without a second thought

We wanted to create a video for our client that showcased an event.

They joined a call with us where we discussed the goals of the videos, we then shared assets and footage with the team who produced various different versions of the video. Working towards creating a 1-2 minute showreel.

We worked with Firat who is great! Listens to the feedback, provides great suggestions and always on time with the videos.

I am an event producer in the events industry. As part of this work I often will find and order media services from providers.

For what projects/services did your company hire Get Camera Crew, and what were your goals?

Initially I had a one-day video capture session planned. This was an ambitious day with multiple projects to be captured in this one day. Get Camera Crew and their personnel were up to the task and accomplished the schedule with ease.

Subsequently we need to add another day for some additional interviews, and again they came through and delivered a great product.

SOLUTION

How did you select Get Camera Crew and what were the deciding factors?

I had very few contacts in Istanbul, and therefore cast a wide net. I asked colleagues and I asked other professionals that I knew in Istanbul. Finally, it was a simple Google search that led me to Firat and Get Camera Crew.

Although this was my first contact with Firat, he treated me with respect and fairness. He quickly answered my questions and provided everything I needed so that I could present a cost estimate to my client.

The biggest factors that caused me to choose Firat were his attention to detail, his quick response time, and that I could tell he understood what I wanted and what I was asking for.

I supplied a schedule, shot sheets and style sheets. This was a bit of a risk since I had never worked with Firat and his crew before. So we had a bit of a learning curve when setting up shots, as would be expected.

The crew took my ideas and direction well, only pushing back when what I was asking did not make sense for the shot. They were able to accommodate the style that we use in my organization.

Upon arrival at the facility, we set to work setting up and getting ready for the busy schedule. The crew were able to focus on each task and complete them to my satisfaction.

We did everything in one day: lighting an operating room to capture a training session, capturing a school room setting with no lighting available, capturing b-roll of the facility itself, working in a huge lab setting to capture groups of medical staff and trainers, interviews, etc.

At the end of the day I was able to leave with the footage on my hard drive.

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

I worked with Firat directly to plan and execute the project. He brought along his crew of DP, LD and A1. For the 2nd part of the project I trusted Firat to complete the interviews without me being present, and he made sure that everything worked well.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The short timeline meant that we needed to get this completed in record time - with no time for re-shoots or backups. The successful outcome was that we were able to use the footage and the interviews in an internal company meeting, and all of the client feedback was positive.

Firat was able to communicate effectively about what he needed, and was able to respond quickly with info that I needed. I live in Portugal, and I am accustomed to emails/phone calls being returned in days/weeks.

For this project I needed a partner who could accommodate my need for speed, and Firat was able to answer most of my emails within an hour or two.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They had good energy and good technical knowledge in the workflow. I found the styles that they followed were different from what my company typically employs, and they were able to change their standards to meet the look that I was after.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Anything that was lacking is purely a product of my short timeline and ambitious schedule. If I'd had time to rehearse the shots before completing them we could have fine-tuned a lot of things; but this was not possible for this project. I don't think I can identify anything they needed to change.

We were filming at Davos in Switzerland and were looking for local crew and kit hire to service our requirements.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Their website looked like they'd done similar content previously, and we felt confident after a video chat.

To shoot conference events and talks for clients, incl footage for a wrap-up film of highlights.

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

Worked directly with clients and via PR agencies. Feedback on the pre-prod involved logistics, and during the shoot largely around scheduling.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We shot for conference capture, which was functional for our clients, but worked less well for highlights. No fault of suppliers or shooters, a contradiction in the brief.

They were attentive and receptive, reacting to changes with grace and goodwill. Invoice system was a little clunky, but we made it work.
