We wanted to develop a stylistic and aesthetically pleasing mobile application (and web application) without complicating any of the core functions.

How did you select Geex Arts and what were the deciding factors?

We used a service called Dribbble to find top rated designers around the world. Deciding factors included the complexity and size of previous projects and the team's degree of professionalism.

We met with the Geex Arts team and reviewed my vision for the app through my initial sketches and drawings. They were able to design the app from the ground up collaboratively through Figma.

My teams project manager and myself worked with Geex Arts.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We were able to develop all the panels for the mobile and web app, made some custom animations and a brand guidebook in about 4 months. We are currently building out the app with my team of developers.

We had weekly Zoom conference calls with their project manager Egor. Other forms of communication involved email, Slack and Jira.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Geex Arts always had a unique and creative solution to my difficult ideas and concepts.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

there on occasion some design flow missteps along the way but easily addressed during our meetings.

For what projects/services did your company hire Geex Arts?

We are working on our internal SaaS project and wanted to redesign it as previous contractor did not meet our expectations. We decided to hire Geex Arts to provide us with UI/UX services to redesign the web app and frontend development services.

What were your goals for this project?

We needed the best customer experience for our internal SaaS product to translate our vision and increase conversion rates.

SOLUTION

How did you select Geex Arts?

We were looking for a design studio that has a deep expertise in redesigning SaaS products with the focus on improving a sales funnel. The design partner we worked with before did not satisfy us with their approach so that we decided to seek the best agency.

One of the key points was having relevant case studies with demonstrated results. I found a few agencies and began to interview them. Finally, my team and I came to an agreement that Geex Arts would be the best fit for our purposes.

Describe the project in detail.

We had a kickoff meeting, where we shared important information to move forward and made sure we were all on the same page. Geex Arts worked on the information architecture, flow and overall user experience. They created wireframes and the final UI on Figma.

They also helped us conduct customer interviews and customer journey testing, provided detailed UX recommendations. Geex Arts’ team used their best design practices to revamp the look and feel of our app and to create the user experience we needed. Moreover, they helped us with frontend development work.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We were able to increase the amount of people who sign up by almost 200%

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

It was great! We had video calls each Friday to catch up with updates. Also, they added us to their Slack where we were communicating during the week. They were responding quickly and giving us many pieces of advice throughout the whole working process.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their scope of knowledge and ability to deliver the project according to our expectations are most impressive. These guys know their space very well and possess the feeling of creative design.

Are there any areas for improvement?

They were fantastic from the beginning of our cooperation till the end and we are really pleased with the results!

We’re a home insurance tech startup. I’m the VP of UX and I oversee all of our design.

What challenge were you trying to address with Geex Arts?

We engaged Geex Arts to help us with some of the UI/UX product designs related to our customer funnel needs.

What was the scope of their involvement?

There were a couple of key activities that Geex Arts was involved in such as visual design and interface design. We provided some initial product design work and the team built designs based on that.

Additionally, we iterated some of the designs that Geex Arts had created. To kickstart their work, we had Figma files, design files, a design library, and some style guides. They also performed video prototyping which required them to create an After Effects video file.

We worked with a project manager and a creative director. 

How did you come to work with Geex Arts?

I found them on Dribble, and I was aware of their work before. Then, Slava (Creative Director  Co-Founder) reached out to me directly on LinkedIn. Fortunately, there was an opportunity for us to get some help on some of the design work we were doing, and our partnership started there. We chose them based on their portfolio’s quality.  

How much have you invested with them?

We spent a little over $9,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our initial engagement ended in February 2021, but we still have an ongoing collaboration with Geex Arts.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We measured their success based on their speed and quality of design work. Based on those metrics, they did a lot of very interesting creative ideas, and they produced at a very rapid cadence.

The quality of their designs was polished, and they were able to understand our brand, look, and feel; They were not only able to mirror that, but also add to it and evolve it by introducing additional concepts too. 

How did Geex Arts perform from a project management standpoint?

We had a pretty close collaboration and we met Geex Arts almost every day, but it could’ve been a little more frequent. However, in terms of getting the work done, I had no complaints.

We primarily communicated through Slack and Zoom meetings, and I provided design feedback as well as direction on their work on Figma. Overall, they performed well. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

At any given part of the design process, they had a lot of interesting design concepts presented to us. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

Invariably, there were some language barriers in terms of understanding what some of the copy meant in the UI that they were working on and that manifested in the typos they made. As a result, we needed to proofread all of the designs they provided to make sure it was correct. Then, in some cases, Geex Arts did not fully understand some of the requirements during the first half of our engagement.

In terms of files, they generated a lot of designs, but it wasn’t always organized and they didn't use our design library and Figma. Since they weren’t using our components, we needed to fix things after. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

The partnership works best when your company has a pretty good UX foundation and guidance upfront. However, if the requirements are unclear, they’ll produce a lot of interesting concepts, but they might not meet your business requirements. As a result, the more foundational work that you can do before the engagement, the more on-point Geex Arts' deliverables will be.

I am the CEO of a full-cycle, full-stack development company Lightpoint Global.

For what projects/services did your company hire Geex Arts?

We decided to hire Geex Arts to create a unique UI/UX design, brand guidelines and logo for eSports platform that we are developing for our client.

What were your goals for this project?

We were looking for a design partner who has a proven expertise in working on eSports projects specifically as we had not created the design for such companies before. The client wanted clear, unique and highly-intuitive design for their platform.

SOLUTION

How did you select Geex Arts?

We started to search for relevant partners on Dribbble and Behance, picked up some potential agencies and began to interview them. Finally, we realized that Geex Arts’s experience and their design vision completely met our expectations. We were impressed by their creative design directions and decided to proceed with these guys.

We organized a couple of meetings to explain the project to the guys and what we are looking for. First, they made a moodboard where some creative directions were offered. They helped us to choose the best one, we approved it with the client and decided to stick to it. Then we came to the prototyping stage and branding – they created logo, color palette, typography, preloaders, icons and buttons.

On the concept design they illustrated all the deliverables on the main page. Then they did desktop/responsive design and transferred the source files to our development team.

During each stage of our cooperation the guys showed great attention to details, they were giving us useful advice and provided us with a really high level of professional assistance since their team is very experienced at what they are doing. The client was fully satisfied with Geex Arts's design solutions.

We still have a few development tasks to do but the client was very happy with the design approach.

We enjoyed working with Geex Arts, these guys are truly professionals, the communication was clear and informative. They were always keeping us updated during each step and carefully listening to our feedback and then advised on how to make things look better.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

As I mentioned we were impressed by their level of expertise and their creative vision of design. They made an outstanding and unique design while providing the level of service we needed.

All the design directions offered were brilliant and I would be glad to partner with Geex Arts on other projects in the future. Their team is very capable by all means.

We have rather high standards but we have not noticed any areas for improvement for Geex Arts.

I’m the head of product for Presence Fit, a mobile fitness company. We provide live personal training services through your mobile device.

What challenge were you trying to address with Geex Arts?

Our core challenge we were trying to address was building out a new look and feel for our service, founded on a new website that could accurately convey the nature of our brand to our users and our potential users.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They worked on creating the development of a cohesive brand identity, the provision of brand guidelines from our website, mobile app, and social media profiles. They then incorporated those branding guidelines into a full-fledged new website design and implemented that design. They primarily coded with React.

What is the team composition?

I primarily worked with two people. Egor (Project Manager) served as the lead project manager, and Slavi (Creative Director) was the creative director.

How did you come to work with Geex Arts?

I found them through Dribble and Slavi’s incredible design portfolio. It stood out from the competition; it had a dramatically impressive creative vision. I reached out to him, and he directed me to his firm.

So far we’ve invested around $25,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in September 2020, and we’re still working together.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The website was just launched last week, so I don’t have strong numerical metrics. On a personal level, I am extremely satisfied with the design. They’re an exceptional contractor, they far exceeded all expectations I had while drafting requirements.

How did Geex Arts perform from a project management standpoint?

We primarily communicated over Slack. I did not have to be aware of what they were using, I was fully confident in their ability to deliver quality work on time.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re incredibly responsive and flexible. Even with less than developed scoping on features, they consistently went above and beyond to create excellent work. They brought an incredible creative vision to the project. They’re an amazing design team.

Are there any areas they could improve?

This is a very minor concern, but they could have given us a slightly more prominent heads up when we were going to miss a milestone. We never missed a major milestone.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

They’re fantastic. I can’t recommend them highly enough.

We needed help translating how two of our products speak to each other and assigning a different brand aesthetic for each of them.

One of our products is an enterprise-facing solution for fashion media companies and the other one is a consumer-facing video app. In some cases, they helped add new features. In other cases, the team implemented slight iterations on what we already have. Additionally, they’ve helped us with branding and web development.

They worked with them as a subcontractor in the past. We really liked them and decided to work with them directly.

We’ve spent $100,000–$250,000.

We started working together in October 2019, and our work is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve been very satisfied. We’re a design-focused company and it’s been very important to find a company that understands our design ethos. Despite the language barrier, their communication is amazing. They complete everything immediately. Their work on our website won awards from The FWA and CSS Design Awards.

How did Geex Arts perform from a project management standpoint?

Their time to deliver is much better than other companies that we’ve worked with. Oftentimes, they’ll deliver ahead of schedule. We use Jira for project management.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re exceptional designers. The team is super innovative and its range is amazing. They challenge a lot of design norms, which is important for us.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could maybe improve on the development side of things. The handoff of the code and working with our developers is an opportunity for growth. It’s not their core competency though, so it’s understandable.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

As with any outsourcing engagement, requirements are really important. The more you can define those requirements, the happier both parties will be. That advice rings true for development as well, and it helps to have an internal tech team to manage the relationship.

Our needs were quite straight forward, we then had multiple back and forth about to define the visuals we wanted up until the final stages of the production.

We found Geex-Arts on Dribble after searching multiple vendors. We saw their work and were excited to develop a relationship with them.

We made introductions via multiple video calls and they helped us explain what it was we actually needed and how we could approach it. We were new to this and they were very accomodating throughout the whole project.

We worked closely with their project manager and if he was unavailable we were quickly assigned a new capable individual who understood our requirements perfectly.

Because of this project we now have a fully functional brand. We have a landing page up and various social media accounts that were put on hold until we could find a suitable partner to help us through that process.

Their project management style was great! We were the headache in terms of communication and timelines. Many of a time we had completely switched the project around and they have been with us every time.

Their style and how they present the work to us were impressive. We thought it was very professional but young and edgy. We really can't fault these guys they hit the nail on the head.

Not at all.

We found them through Dribble and were impressed with their portfolio.

The goal of the project was to come up with a series of screens based on a simple criteria and wireframe. They were to advise not only the aesthetic but share their own ideas and concepts on the project. Given the project is in stealth, I won't share details about it.

4 people. 1 project manager, 1 creative director, 1 graphic designer, 1 animator.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We were always impressed by the quality and speed in which the work was done. On a daily basis, we received a half dozen new screens for us to review and give feedback on.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Great! We did daily standups to ensure close communication. Egor played a major role in ensuring everything was going smoothly.

The speed and quality of the work.

Communication about when other team members would be brought in to help. Felt like a bit of a black box until the bill showed up. But the results were really good.
