G.O. Green Enterprises owns and operates a number of ecommerce properties and brick & mortar companies and brands across multiple verticals including Plumbing & HVAC, Home Improvement, Home Décor & Crafting. I am the Chief Marketing Officer for G.O. Green Enterprises

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire The GCMG Agency?

We developed the MoRow, a new Robotic Lawn Mower. After a successful DTC launch on Indiegogo, we were looking for a partner who could support our brand development and social media marketing.

As we transitioned distribution through our big box retail channel we needed to drive additional social traffic to the physical and online retailers. We hired The GCMG Agency to handle the Social Media Marketing of the MoRow brand.

What were your goals for this project?

Our goals with contracting The GCMG Agency were to increase consumer awareness of robotic mowers, distinguish MowRo from its competition, increase social influence and drive conversions to our physical and online retailers.

Since robotic mowers are still in their infancy, we needed a partner who could connect with our early adopters, identify lookalike audiences and engage our audience in a fun and creative way.

How did you select The GCMG Agency?

We were referred to The GCMG Agency by our big-box retailer rep who had worked with The Agency on other successful brand campaigns. After our introductory meetings, we were confident that the GCMG Agency had the creative, strategic and organizational ability to meet our needs.

More important than ability, the 'entrepreneurial culture' of the team synced well with our organization. Even though they had no knowledge of or experience with robotic mowers, their "we'll figure it out & get it done" attitude was awesome!

They were very comfortable with thinking outside the box and pushing boundaries that would engage our audience and ultimately build our brand.

Describe the scope of their work in detail.

The GCMG Agency is responsible for the planning, scheduling, execution, engagement and reporting of the Social Media efforts of MowRo.

The Agency develops the campaign strategies, creates the content (still & video collateral) to support the campaigns, presents the content in 2 week blocks for approval, executes the campaigns based on the schedule and then reports on the efficacy of the campaigns.

What was the team composition?

The team was comprised of an agency principal, head of marketing, social media manager and social media team members. I did not meet the 'creative artists', but from what I observed, all the above leads gave input and feedback to the creative team who never ceased to amaze our team with the awesome content they generated.

All levels of the Agency reviewed our account on a regular basis which was evidenced by the principal's intimate details of our specific campaigns.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The Agency took complete control of the social channels, including responding to followers' comments, questions and issues -even late into the evening and over the weekend!

In the initial stages, the principal, team leads and team members worked together with our team to learn the product and our target market. They produced campaigns that engaged our existing audience and grew our followers through organic and paid strategies.

They grew engagement 10x+ month over month and drove tens of thousands of click-throughs to our branded site and retailers. Online sales continue to grow significantly and quickly exceeded initial sales generated in our Indiegogo campaign.

I look forward to the team leads' reports and follow-up phone calls, That alone speaks highly of their ability and results.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow between our teams is seamless. I often think of the GCMG Agency team more as an internal team, than an outside agency. As mentioned previously, their culture is very fun and fluid and meshes very nicely with ours.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Communication is great. They are always quick to respond to my inquiries. I often get ideas at inopportune times and do not hesitate to share them with them. I don't get the impression that we are 'just another client'.

I feel they are sincerely working on our behalf and are motivated to see our brand succeed. The team is very creative! They repeatedly create awesome campaigns and have a great ability to use trending strategies, topics and memes to amplify our brand.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Maybe co-locate in our building! ;) In all seriousness, that isn't needed. It would be great to hang with the team more often, but work-wise, they're able to execute remotely as well as they could if we shared an office building.
