BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

We’re a national eating disorder provider offering residential and outpatient services for people struggling with eating disorders. I’m the CEO of the company.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Gather Originals?

We faced unique business challenges when the global pandemic hit. Because we could no longer meet our client in-person. We had to launch a virtual treatment service line and market it as a result. They put together video assets for part of our marketing strategy.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Essentially, we were launching a new business. We went to them thinking that the video would have to be pretty simple because it’s more difficult for crews to shoot video in different locations at this time. However, they were creative in locating actors that lived together and also weaved a narrative into the production. We provided them with general concepts, and they did the rest from soup to nuts. That included scripts, storyboards, production, and editing. They also included subtitling free of charge. 

What is the team composition?

The founder and director was my main point of contact.  

How did you come to work with Gather Originals?

We approached them with our requirements after being connected with them through a mutual business acquaintance. It was pretty organic.  

How much have you invested with them?

We spent about $10,000. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked with them from March–April 2020. The project took about three weeks to be completed.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve received positive feedback from both internal and external constituents. In terms of views, we’re seeing much more engagement with this video than our past video assets.  

How did Gather Originals perform from a project management standpoint?

They took a lot of initiative in getting the project off the ground. Often ahead of deadlines, they worked pretty autonomously. We used email and Zoom to communicate.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They took a highly strategic approach, understanding the depth of the business. We were shocked that they were able to pull off a live production during this environment. They were creative about achieving those goals. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

We were really happy with them.

They know this medium so well that it may benefit you to give them some room to be creative.
