I am the Director for Brand and Digital Marketing at Barrette Outdoor Living - one of the largest US Manufacturers of outdoor living products: fencing, railing, decking, and decorative accents.

For what projects/services did your company hire Production M, and what were your goals?

We hired Production M to execute a corporate video that showcased various facilities that we have, and focused on our people - who are the heartbeat of our company. We had a very short timeframe to travel to our sites, capture video and interviews, and then have the final video ready to share at a very important meeting!

The second video that we worked on with Production M was a bit different, the task was to take existing (outdated) footage, and try to make an exciting recruitment video from the footage - and they succeeded!!

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I was referred to Production M through a previous coworker who I had contacted asking for help on video production - with a modest budget and short timeframe. He immediately sent me Production M's info. After one conversation with Gabe, we knew we had the right person and production company!

For the first video we aligned on timing and budget. Gabe then worked closely with myself and the VP of Marketing to layout the storyboards and script - we collaborated so strongly, because of our quick timelines. We scheduled out the travel, the production and shooting and we were off!! Three facilities in one week.

The Production M team was super professional, early to shoot every day, and just a joy to be around! We were able to be involved in the interviews and shooting to give input; but really left it up to the team to layout the best ways to film.

We worked with Gabe! He was the best. That's all I can say. Super responsive, collaborative with ZERO ego! His recommendations were made from a place of getting the main objectives of the videos across. He took feedback and incorporated it swiftly - and in both instances, turned in the final videos ahead of schedule!

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

For our first video the leadership team was thrilled with the results!! We shared this as a big reveal at our meeting, and we got the reaction we were hoping for. For the second recruitment style video, it is currently being used via FB ads - it has high engagement, high completion rates and is driving traffic to our correlating website!

Gabe's communication is crystal clear. He uses email efficiently, google docs effectively, and frame.o (I think) for video edit comments - which is super easy! He stays on track...somehow...even with twists and turns that are thrown at him, or delays from our side to get him assets.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The people, Gabe is wonderful. He is calm under pressure, a true professional, with a warm smile. I look forward to working with him more and more in the future! Also, his lean crew he hired for the travel production - wow! they were equally professional and lovely.

Not a single thing!

We couldn't be happier with our results. All expectations exceeded with a final product that we've have resounding success with in our digital marketing plan. We will be using Production M again

I am the Laboratory Director for several Ambulatory Care Sites. As a Pathologist, I interact daily with Clinicians from multiple disciplines to ensure that they receive the laboratory services needed to manage their patients.

I agreed to work on a video for a smoking cessation program as past of one of my project requirements for a Masters in Public Health Degree that I have been working on in my spare time. However, I am not a videographer and realized quickly that I would need help from a professional to provide a high quality video that could be used by our healthcare group to reach patients.

What were your goals for this project?

The goal of the project was to develop a 1 minute high quality video that would highlight the positive aspects of smoking cessation.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

I did an internet search for videographers in the Los Angeles area. Gabe’s profile fit best.

Describe the video(s) and the process in detail.

The video is meant to reach smokers that are ready to quit or have thought about quitting. We needed a diverse population of people to be represented throughout the video, representing ordinary people in both the patient role and the professionals that are available to help. Gabe captured the essence of what I was looking for in every clip with a combination of animation, still shots and beautiful graphics and scenery.

The video moves from gaging where the smoker is in the evolution of the smoking habit, indicating that the time is always right to quit, providing the benefits it minutes, hours, days, months and years if one were to quit and showing the support systems available to ensure success. The health system logos were pulled in to the title slide and the final contact information slide; the voice over was provided in English and Spanish.

What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?

Gabe requested feedback throughout the entire project and made timely changes. The project length was a result of my need to have additional time to meet with different groups on my end to get feedback. Gabe was very patient and understanding throughout the entire process.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

I was provided an English and Spanish version of the video that will be posted on the patient portal and shown in several of our Comprehensive health centers waiting rooms across Los Angeles County, where it will reach hundreds of thousands of patients for years to come.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Gabe and I worked very well together. He was always cordial and professional!

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They were incredibly easy to work with. They were able to work within my budget and still produce something that would easily be shown on any TV station nationwide.

Are there any areas for improvement?

None. Gabe continued to revise and perfect the end product until The final version met the expectations of the entire team.

They did a full say shoot highlighting our products using the elements—water,  air, earth, and fire. They shot and edited in multiple formats in different lengths. They also provided still images and GIF files from the shoot that we could use on social media.

The project lasted from February–March 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The whole team is very excited about the results and give it a thumbs-up! Engagement would definitely be a great indicator, but we haven’t implemented it yet. The deliverables exceeded what was promised. They went above and beyond, and I’m looking forward to working with them again.

How did Branded Videos by M perform from a project management standpoint?

Our project manager responded quickly and was always on top of deadlines. They often delivered earlier than we expected.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They were very professional, but also very approachable in a sense. It was like working with a friend. They were open to our ideas, and even if they were outside the box, they made it happen.

Not really.

Be really transparent, tell them what you’re looking for, they’ll be honest about what can be done. They’ll do their best to make your vision a reality.

Production M created and edited a video based on our new product. They included elements to explain and promote the app, so viewers get a sense of the full mobile experience. Then, they shared the video across social media channels. In addition, their team supported our paid advertising efforts on Google, Yahoo, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, and Instagram.

The final video was received positively by our audience. Our launch was posted in a press article on TechCrunch, as well, which gave us strong visibility. To this day, we use the video in all of our sales outreach efforts, so it has been a critical asset for us.

We hired Production M for production services. Our team delivered the episode titles, and their work stemmed from that. Their team organized the whole production, from creating raw material to editing the finished episode. They also found talent for the show.

We wanted a U.S. agency for the project and a friend of mine in Los Angeles introduced me to Production M.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The series has more than a million views. We were quite happy with that and our Facebook marketing efforts. Everything has been a collaborative effort. Production M is working on the next series for us.

How did Production M perform from a project management standpoint?

Our team has been pleased with Production M’s work. While we ran project management, our primary contact was a great resource. A lot of systems weren’t involved; the process is straightforward.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Production M is easy to work with. It’s a challenge finding agencies in another time zone that can produce work on time. We trust them to focus and come back quickly with the finished product.

Are there any areas they could improve?

This is the first time we’ve worked together, so our team had to get a feel for how their team works. After listening to our feedback, they’ll have a better understanding of us going forward on the next series. Their talent sourcing could improve, but that wouldn’t be a critique of Production M.

Gabe had been previously recommended, and we had chatted about video productions in the past. The timing wasn't right before, but this project worked out perfectly.
