I’m the director of design of an interior design and building company.

What challenge were you trying to address with Fuzz Creative?

We wanted to get into designing and building a site for us.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Fuzz Creative designed our website and has been helping us with branding direction as well. They started by reviewing our existing brand identity, including logos and avatar, and how that was placed through our collateral — they enhanced that throughout our business cards, apparel logo, and car decals by giving them a more confident look.

Consequently, they implemented that to our website design. For that, Fuzz Creative started from scratch by putting together all of the references I provided to them and minding what I liked and didn’t. After that, they delivered something coherent and on-brand with my business.

For the site’s development, they introduced me to a web developer and guided me through the whole process, which was very helpful.

Currently, they continue helping us with support. 

What is the team composition?

We’ve been only working with Georgia (Graphic Designer).

How did you come to work with Fuzz Creative?

We chose them because we were impressed with the branding and development work that they had produced, and I wanted something similar for us.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent around $3,000 AUD (approximately $2,100 USD) with them so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working in August 2021, and the engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They’ve met our expectations regarding the esthetic we were looking for on our site.

How did Fuzz Creative perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re great at meeting deadlines and communicating. Their team is also professional, warm, and skillful. Another thing that I like is the workshop process we have; I don’t feel like I’m just sitting around receiving a proposal. It’s a collaborative process where I can share my knowledge and perspectives.

In terms of tools, we use Zoom and email.

What did you find most impressive about them? 

They were able to interpret my brief well, and they also committed to knowing and understanding our brand to learn what we like and what we don’t.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t think there’s anything they can improve on — it’s been an enjoyable process, and I feel confident and excited about their work.

Any advice for potential customers?

The more you can convey in the beginning brief, the closer they’ll be to hitting the mark and meeting your expectations.

I’m the owner and manager of a yoga studio. 

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Fuzz Creative?

I hired Fuzz for our brand identity and overall visual designs. Georgia (Designer & Founder) helped me with everything, including the color palettes, styling, font, logo, and signs.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We initially had a meeting and then did mood boards to dig into the details of our business’ theme. Georgia analyzed what we were and weren’t so we could create our brand language. As part of this, they searched for keywords for our SEO to make sure that our business language attracted the right clients. 

We then developed a logo with the name of the business and a brand stamp. Georgia used our initials for the logo and applied visual effects to it. Moreover, Fuzz did the entire visual strategy and brand identification task. They created street signages for the business, too. 

On top of that, Georgia worked with me on the creative direction of our photoshoots, helping us create a cohesive look for our website and Instagram page. She also designed business cards for us, though we didn’t use a lot of print materials. Meanwhile, Georgia also helped with our website’s copy. I did most of it, but she helped me refine the content. She’d tell me if the content was great and if I was on the right track. 

At present, I’m still in touch with Georgia, and I contact her when I need her services. In the future, I’ll use her for brand styling and any materials that we need. I’ll get her services next time to do our art direction and liaise with our photographer.

How did you come to work with Fuzz Creative?

When I met Georgia, she recently only finished her degree and was doing freelance work to gain lots of experience. Meanwhile, my husband has a business. He met Georgia through a university where his partner worked. In other words, my husband had used her for his business, and he recommended her to me.  

How much have you invested with them?

Our total spend has been around $2,360 AUD (approximately $1,600 USD). 

What is the status of this engagement?

I started working with her in August 2020, and the engagement is ongoing. 

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The project has had amazing quality. Georgia has taken my ideas and translated them into something cohesive and professional. I live in a rural area, and we have a huge tourism industry. The branding that she’s given me is comparable to other trendy city businesses. Overall, the visual outcome of the project is fantastic; I couldn’t have imagined it to be this good. 

How did Fuzz Creative perform from a project management standpoint?

Georgia’s project management is great. She’s completely taken on the whole project and managed it independently. She’s also taken the time to ask lots of questions to get to know my business and what I’m trying to create. By doing that, the process has solidified the business for me. Overall, having Georgia on board and being involved in the conception of the business has been great, and I’m incredibly grateful for that. She’s helped me more than just having pictures; she truly understands what I’m doing. 

To communicate, I can email or call her directly, and she’s always available. Georgia is proactive in setting up meetings. She sends amazing documents with everything we talk about. She gives us presentations so we can clearly see what we’re doing. To meet face to face, we’ve had Zoom calls every Monday to touch base on what we’re doing for the week. That way, she keeps me on track, which is good because I have lots of other things to do. Overall, she’s kind and helpful, and she makes me accountable for what I need to keep doing. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Georgia has driven the project forward, and I haven’t had to constantly ask her to do things. Instead, she gives many useful suggestions that I haven’t even thought of; it’s been amazing. Overall, the visual communication and the way she’s shown it to me via presentations are fantastic. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there aren’t any. Georgia has been incredibly involved in the project.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Explain to Georgia your vision, and she’ll translate that into a visual branding style guide. Rather than telling her the color I like, I’ve explained to her how I want the yoga studio to look for our customers. If I’d gone to her and asked her to design the logo in a specific way, it would’ve harmed her output a bit. In other words, give her creative freedom so that she can understand the project well.
