Introduce your business and what you do there.

We’re a data analytics company focused on marking better connections at contact centers using data. I’m a senior product marketing manager for our predictive behavioral routing solution.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Furnace FPS?

We were working on a series of videos to introduce predictive behavioral routing and the scope of the project after the acquisition. That would include different branding and messaging with the new company.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They were our video production partner, collaborating with us in the early stages involving content creation, ideation, and scriptwriting. That helped us narrow and focus our ideas to better communicate our vision through video. They also handled team dynamics with our global team, managing the coming together of our new team as well as the actual video creation.   

How did you come to work with Furnace FPS?

We were acquired by a larger company in August 2018, and they reached out to me about a project that they were working on with the larger company. Since I was new to the team, I wasn’t sure what was going on. However, they explained the agreed-upon scope of work, so we were able to get started together. 

How much have you invested with them?

We spent about $25,000 during that timeframe. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started the work in August 2018, and the project wrapped up in June 2019. Our teams don’t have any ongoing collaborations now, but they’re on my list for a series of similar projects coming this year.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The content met specifications, and we were able to build awareness campaigns in the way we intended with the videos.  

How did Furnace FPS perform from a project management standpoint?

They were extremely responsive, typically getting back to us within a day. If there was an upcoming deadline, they always upheld it. They also were great at setting reasonable expectations on how long a task would take. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re extremely collaborative and responsive. Their team struck a great balance between conforming to our vision and incorporating their suggestions. They were a very trusted partner in this entire process, acting as a consultant.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They do an amazing job, so I don’t have anything negative to say about them. Their team could handle everything and recommended external partners if a task wasn’t within an area of their expertise.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Prepare to be an equal partner in the project. Our team was serious about coming to the table with our own ideas and examples to push the project forward. By building upon our ideas, we took a collaborative approach that helped us guide the production of our videos.

I’m the founder and creative director at Made By We, a design studio that focuses on working with social impact and activist clients. We provide web design and branding support.

Most recently, we have been using Furnace FPS for a number of video projects.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They’re assisting us with scriptwriting and review. For production days, they’re on set handling the recording and sound. Their team is also responsible for post-production editing and pulling everything together. 

What is the team composition?

I work with Sarah (Producer, Furnace FPS) and Sergio (Director, Furnace FPS). 

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve probably spent in the range of $30,000–$50,000. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in 2012. 

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

With them as our partner, we’ve definitely seen an increase in user adoption on some of the projects. It’s hard to measure the direct impact of the videos because it’s part of a larger collaboration. 

How did Furnace FPS perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re always on track with their deliverables and are really easy to communicate with. If things need to adjust, I can normally speak directly to my contacts. I can usually schedule a check-in with little notice or for the same day, so I really appreciate that flexibility.

Since they’re working with us through our agency, they use our project management tools and send reports to our project manager. They’re a part of our internal Slack team and Asana projects, too, so they function like a part of our in-house team. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

The ease of working together makes them stand out. We sometimes have clients with a challenging subject matter, but Furnace FPS brings a really positive attitude even when clients aren’t well versed in video production. They’re willing to adjust their approach on the fly, which isn’t common in that industry.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t have any feedback or criticism for them at this stage, which is why I’ve worked with them for so long. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Listen to their recommendations and trust their suggestions. Though at first I had some hesitation, I’ve been proven time and time again that their gut reaction is usually the right path to trust.
