Full Scale has helped improve the reliability and performance of our database processes. We’ve been able to get reports and data more efficiently and reduce issues with SQL queries. For example, they’ve helped us resolve issues with some reports that have been failing for several months. After the fix, the reports have been created as expected without issues. Overall, we’ve saved time and effort in generating reports.

It is difficult to define a scope of work since the purpose was overall staff augmentation. Over two years and continuing to the present day, we have used between 1 and 3 FullScale developers at any time to participate as though they were onshore, first-tier staff. Their work is competitive with any of our full-time developers and the attitude, collaboration, and value is excellent.

Again, there was no particular scope of work. The engineers from FullScale contribute points and velocity to every sprint as though they were any other engineer, at agreeable prices and excellent competency levels and great collaboration.

They are always response in Slack at nearly all hours of the day and also responsive via email and our ticketing system as well. The FullScale engineers are present in every non-regulated system our own engineers are.

I can't believe the value and the talent. I would like to meet them in real life one day to show my appreciation with a hug. Losing my FullScale engineers would be as traumatic as losing a direct employee, and I have rarely felt that way about offshore development before.

Their work allows us to meet project deliverable timelines around new partner setups, new product launches, and other internal efficiency projects. Overall, their work has helped us get people onboarded faster and more cost-efficiently than hiring full-time employees or even local contractors. Thanks to them, we've reduced our onboarding time from months to days.

Full Scale does a really great job of finding good-quality engineers fairly quickly. This is really a big advantage for them to be based in the Philippines.

I think there's the opportunity for us to even go higher in talent that's focused on AI development. I know Full Scale is training their engineers on this, but this is a really big unlock for us as a team, and we would prefer to have people come with a base of knowledge.

Full Scale’s QA resource has been with us since the inception of our application. Then, we added developers because we were updating our code base from Angular to React. Full Scale has been a part of that transition to the new application, and now they’re helping to support it.

The QA and I have created a process document in OneNote. Whenever a new employee starts on the team, we give them access to the document, which has a brief overview of the app, our login process, and other walk-through knowledge about the application.

Five team members are reporting to me, including one QA and four full stack developers.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Full Scale’s impact has been significant. We have another team using some of Full Scale’s resources, and all teams have nothing but good things to say. They’ve definitely helped our business grow within the IT sector, and teammates are a joy to work with.

How did Full Scale perform from a project management standpoint?

We’ve hit our timeline. We initially missed our deadline with the migration, but it wasn’t feasible because it was put together by a project management team that had no idea about the application.

Other than that, Full Scale has met deadlines, and we review metrics every two weeks. So far, they’ve hit 100% of their deliveries and done an excellent job.

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

Leonette (Software QA Tester III) is the QA; we’ve worked together the longest. She is probably one of the best QAs I’ve worked with. She does a fantastic job, and her knowledge of the application is impressive. Moreover, Leonette helps the other developers understand the functionality.

Lovely (Full Stack Developer) hasn’t been with us as long as Leonette, but she understands the functionality. She gets in there and helps with her knowledge of the application, supporting any of our newer Full Scale employees. In summary, Lovely was one of the first teammates to understand the functionality, and she goes above and beyond to help the team in any way she can.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their most impressive trait is how quickly they’ve learned the application. Additionally, the developers are sincere, friendly, and easy to get along with; they work great with everyone.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They do a great job, but many of their full stack developers are very green. It’d be nice to have some more senior people. They’ve started bringing them into the company, and I assume their junior developers will become senior as time passes.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I definitely recommend Full Scale. Additionally, something that helped us in February 2023 was an account manager. We asked if we could set up small interviews, and they gave us information about each candidate on the site and what they could do. Overall, the interviews ensured the person was a good fit for us and the team.
