I’m an IT team lead for a steel manufacturing company. I work on financial software to build steel buildings.

We needed help with development.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Full Scale’s QA resource has been with us since the inception of our application. Then, we added developers because we were updating our code base from Angular to React. Full Scale has been a part of that transition to the new application, and now they’re helping to support it.

The QA and I have created a process document in OneNote. Whenever a new employee starts on the team, we give them access to the document, which has a brief overview of the app, our login process, and other walk-through knowledge about the application.

What is the team composition?

Five team members are reporting to me, including one QA and four full stack developers.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working with them in January 2017, and the partnership is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Full Scale’s impact has been significant. We have another team using some of Full Scale’s resources, and all teams have nothing but good things to say. They’ve definitely helped our business grow within the IT sector, and teammates are a joy to work with.

How did Full Scale perform from a project management standpoint?

We’ve hit our timeline. We initially missed our deadline with the migration, but it wasn’t feasible because it was put together by a project management team that had no idea about the application.

Other than that, Full Scale has met deadlines, and we review metrics every two weeks. So far, they’ve hit 100% of their deliveries and done an excellent job.

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

Leonette (Software QA Tester III) is the QA; we’ve worked together the longest. She is probably one of the best QAs I’ve worked with. She does a fantastic job, and her knowledge of the application is impressive. Moreover, Leonette helps the other developers understand the functionality.

Lovely (Full Stack Developer) hasn’t been with us as long as Leonette, but she understands the functionality. She gets in there and helps with her knowledge of the application, supporting any of our newer Full Scale employees. In summary, Lovely was one of the first teammates to understand the functionality, and she goes above and beyond to help the team in any way she can.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their most impressive trait is how quickly they’ve learned the application. Additionally, the developers are sincere, friendly, and easy to get along with; they work great with everyone.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They do a great job, but many of their full stack developers are very green. It’d be nice to have some more senior people. They’ve started bringing them into the company, and I assume their junior developers will become senior as time passes.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I definitely recommend Full Scale. Additionally, something that helped us in February 2023 was an account manager. We asked if we could set up small interviews, and they gave us information about each candidate on the site and what they could do. Overall, the interviews ensured the person was a good fit for us and the team.

Build a mobile app version of the card game Mixtape that was able to connect to both Spotify and Apple's API so that users with premium subscriptions for either could use their accounts to play the game from anywhere, provided they had a wi-fi connection.

We were assigned a Project Manager who led weekly discussions with the entire dev team. Project deliverables were discussed, goals were tracked, and communication back and forth was transparent and responsive.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The skill level and quality of our team. Although the work was done remotely, we developed a personal relationship with the Full Scale team, and it was obvious that they had a vested interest in helping us succeed. Our project was somewhat unique, and they embraced the challenge with a skill level and personal care we had not experienced with other development teams.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Full Scale could have done differently?

No, I will continue to champion Full Scale for any business or entrepreneur that needs to find, hire, or retain great developers.

We had 3 Full Scale team members join us full time. They covered numerous front end and some backend development. Deliverables were a Admin/Maint interface, a mobile and desktop end user application for connecting to Web3 wallets. There was also significant work with Twillio.

They built a nice system on the front end to help look for and assess their talent. Full Scale was flexible and reasonable with us as well. Clearly a lot of time has been put into building out the back end systems to make this work.

There are some resources like graphic design that are only needed in spurts. Would have been nice to utilize these on an hourly basis.

Full Scale came in to help with our SaaS after a previous development company made a ton of mistakes. They fixed it quickly and continued to improve it. Since then they have helped develop and grow another SaaS platform that supports our current platform as well.

The product issues were resovled and more features added which increased to more sales.
