I am a marketing manager for a luxury cosmetic company that is known & distributed worldwide.

For what projects/services did your company hire Fondamentale.?

I needed to create a movie to highlight our main skincare ingredient.

What were your goals for this project?

The goal here was to reinvent content that we already had from previous movies, yet making it feel fresh and new by being creative. Also, we needed to have a beautiful, dreamy movie, very storytelling, while also staying impactful, and didactical.

I knew them from my previous job, where they already created great video contents.

We really worked hand in hand and the process was very smooth.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We have a received numerous positive feedbacks on this video, both internally and externally.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Communication is very fluid, very simple. They understand changed of direction, they give counsel when we need it and suggest a lot of creative solutions.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They're capable of remaining patient, helpful, and solution-based even when pressure is at its peak. They completely understand our needs, the strong requirements of the field we work on, the many layers of validation that are necessary in order to complete the project. They really put themsleves in our shoes and therefore it is a pleasure to work with them.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Our project was commended by our president and our consumers online : I am extremely happy with their work !

To keep surprising around the latest Black Opium launch, through a catchy, never-seen-before product movie.

What were your goals for this project?

High end movie, desirable designs and of course the right tone of voice to match the brand and franchise image and values.

Because their expertise in marketing and in video production make them the perfect duo : super innovative, hand in hand partners, very much aware about our marketing desiderata. In the past I've always been satisfied with their work.

A product movie around our latest Black Opium launch, with great colors and effects, magnifying our iconic bottle.

What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?

We first agreed on a timeline and had one video appointment more or less each week, to validate the steps and to share feedback along the way. The timing was always very well managed and the feedback immediately integrated.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We had great results with the video, which countries shared and people liked/commented. It engaged because it was not just another product movie, but very well thought for our Black Opium target.

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the founder of an events and communications agency based in Zürich, Switzerland. We organize B2B and B2C experiences in Europe.

What challenge were you trying to address with Fondamentale.?

We were organizing an event for a bank in Geneva. I was looking for a content creator to help us set up an immersive experience, so I hired Fondamentale.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Fondamentale. created bespoke content according to the topic we had chosen with our client. There were several AVs that were projected on the tables and walls during the whole event. We also had a story with different chapters which was shown during the dinner. There was a lot of coordination and timing required as we had another company handling the logistics and IT set-up. 

What is the team composition?

I was in contact with Filippo (Creative Director). Florian (Content Creator) was also involved but worked more in the background.

How did you come to work with Fondamentale.?

I initially found Fondamentale. through a friend. In my job, we have to get the right feeling with new service providers or people who we’re going to work with, and with Filippo, it was very smooth and easy. He showed me some prior work that he had done so I asked him if he would like to be in this project for the bank. We discussed a lot over the phone before the engagement started.

How much have you invested with them?

We invested between $10,000–$25,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our engagement began in May 2019 and ended with the event, which was in September 2019.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our client was very happy with the entire team and with the event. The service providers I choose are important to our events, so I was glad to see that there was a good collaboration between Fondamentale and the IT and logistics company.

How did Fondamentale. perform from a project management standpoint?

We met face-to-face and had a lot of calls and emails. Filippo also came to Geneva, checking in twice before the event.

What did you find most impressive about them?

There are several impressive things about them: their collaboration approach, their can-do mindset, and the quality of their work. It was very easy to work with them. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t recall anything that needed improvement. Actually, I would hire them again for another project. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

All the requirements and expectations have to be clear. This is something that's needed in my job, but it could also be for anyone.

What were your goals for this project?

Build a 360° campaign for Xmas 2020. Transcript the brand codes in a Xmas video with a strong universe and storytelling. Adapt this storytelling on all our communication touchpoints (POS, Print, Digital, Social) Deliver all assets while respecting marketing requirements

SOLUTION

How did you select Fondamentale.?

They proposed the richest plan and really understood the brand values and key assets to focus on.

We pitched them with a budget envelop to respect. They get back to us on time with a complete 360° plan and a storyboard to follow. They have been selected by Coty & the Fashion House for their creativy and respect of the brand guidelines . They worked hand in hand with marketing teams, digital teams and Fashion House teams on all the aspects of the project.

What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?

They were in charge of all the Design follo up/ production / post production.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

N.A Please contact the marketing / new digital team as I'm not part of the team anymore and don't have insights.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

This was a very demanding project with a lot of different interlocuters and a very tedious approval process. Fondamentale has always respected the client's requests even if this has included changes in the design. They always tried to limit the impact on timeline, deliveries or with their partners.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Strong resilience despite the several back & forths on every step of the project. Strong creative vision

Are there any areas for improvement?

Maybe 2 project managers would have helped to decorrelate certain subjects and prioritize the deliveries of assets for each team (marketing vs. digital)
