Weekly stand-ups meetings on Slack to go over progress, sprints and scrum progress all logged meticulously in Jira

the primary end points were a funciotnal app which underwent extensive testing in test flight before shipping to the App store

Rafa and the team were really nothing short of phenomal, always positive, yet realistic and worked with us to as some scope shifted as did timelines.

Oh man, these guys built an awesome app and worked with local head of prodcut & designer  seamlessly.  They migrated a code base from a major US university and rebuilt and improved some key features., finding creative solutions to the technical demands of the application.  Their communcation , ( especially for non-native speakers) was top notch , and could be reached very seamlessly. Am SO thankful to Rafa, Joaquin, los Santi(s) and the rest of the team for shepherding this product into life! i would be happy to directly refer ore chat with anybody who are looking for fantastic, sharp, agile and communicative developers!

FlowLabs was measured against pre-defined product Sprints over a ~20wk window.

Generally FlowLabs we a pleasure to work with and was organized & timely. As our project neared its end & other commitments came into scope things moved with less urgency. This was also due to our lack of product clarity as we moved beyond the pre-defined Sprints

We were most impressed with the team's passion and desire to bring their DNA into the project. This led to a high level of execution across most elements of the project beyond the pre-defined scope.

As we began learning about the functional realities of our product and found opportunities to plan & develop new features, FlowLabs lack of dedicated product-design / UX resources became a challenge, though this is an area we understand is being bolstered within their organization.

I'm the Legal & Marketing manager of the company. We offer handling services at the most important airports in The Americas & Caribbean.

We had serious data entry problems because we documented all the data information in different excel sheets. Our company grew a lot and it was no longer feasible to keep all the information in excel. We needed a place / platform to centralize all the information and processes. A place where everyone could access and obtain all the necessary information.

I know them because they had developed a website with a complex back office in my previous job. They have an considered them along with 3 other vendors. But the organization, the work plan and the cost proposed by them made us decide to hire them.

The initial goal of the project was to group all the information of the company in a single site, clients, suppliers, raw market, etc. In a second stage we began to integrate the entire management of the company. we made weekly meeting were we resolved what to improve and how to move forward. The technolgies used were Laravel, Backpack, Mysql, Vue

There were 2 of them working constantly with us. Joaquin the CEO and Rafael the CTO

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Within the first stage we were able to group and categorize all the information of the company in one place. This allowed for an incredible improvement in working times, from searching in many different excel spread sheets to putting a name and all the information to appear. In the following stages, the company's operations were integrated into the software, Operations, Quotes, Procurement and Billing.

The project management was very good, well organized. They regularly meet deadlines. We communicate vía Hangouts and also face-to-face meetings since our headquarters is in the same country.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We had direct contact with their CEO and CTO, I believe this was a great advantage. Their are easy going people, so the communication was (still is) very easy. They understand the issues quickly. Even those of our company, which, because they are a very specific, are sometimes complex.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We are very happy with the development of the project. Perhaps an improvement would be to put together manuals simultaneously with development and modify them every time a change is requested

I'm the CEO of Foxsys, a security and virtual doorman company located in Uruguay.

For what projects/services did your company hire Flow Labs, and what were your goals?

Our company provides several services to family buildings, these includes monitoring 8 to 10 cameras per building. We have nowadays over 2.500 cameras that we keep in control every second. To continue growing we need a more efficient way to know what is happening in every camera without hiring more and more people.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We were looking for a small company with a diverse talented team willing to spend some time knowing the details of what we do and how. We also wanted a team with a consistent track of delivering projects that must run as a critical aplication, as Flow Labs did in the past.

The main goal was to build an Computer Vision engine that could classify people and vehicules and provide a second layer of analysis such as pose detection, in a scalable way with a service oriented architechture. As a secondary goal, we wanted to evaluate a combined server side / edge oriented architechture to decide whether it was more convinient to have customized hardware running in every building or we should go only server side.

The Flow Labs team evaluated several combinantions of Jetson Nano and other related firmware and then focused their time in the design of the services that would run in the main server. The also try diferent GPU hardware solutions until they found a and scalable solution to both train and detect in a efficient way.

They were 4 people working in the team and we also hire through them an outside team to work on specific parts of the code and algorithms. Thier positions were PM and code architect, two senior developer and one junior.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We discovered that 50% of the events that were received in our control room were not related to human activity. On top of that, if we classify the 50% remaining we could gain between 80-90% optimization classifing relevant and irrelevant events.

The work was divided in several milestones with 2-3 weeks sprints, weekly meetings and Jira to follow each task.

They are absolutely commited to produce the solution that is needed in order to make our business more scalable. The team is young, enthusiastic, smart, creative and they fitted great into our culture.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I don't see any relevant improvement, we will continue working with Flow Labs in several projects ahead.

As we mentioned before, we have worked on several projects, but in all of them the common factor is to understand the problem, analyze the situation in detail and propose a solution validated by the owner of the process. The key deliverables are always associated with a radical improvement of the original process. if this represents an interruption of activities. The technologies that we are using are mostly Laravel, Ngix, Mongo and Maria / Mysql

In one of the projects, the time needed to carry out a commercial operation was reduced by 50%, managing to move valuable resources to another area of ​​the company. Another project drastically reduced the use of paper, digitizing 100% of the process. Additionally, the information contained in these papers is directly entered into a database for further processing, which had a great impact on the quality of the resulting product.

The projects are managed with agile methodologies, the most used communication tools are email, video calls and messaging

What most stands out about Flow is the quality of the deliverables. Flow Labs has a good disposition and collaboration, and they're always in an excellent mood.

Because of the little free time, we generally don't celebrate our accomplishments. And you should improve a little the way we request and receive the documentation of the different projects.

We were having a hard time storing and managing our leads, clients campaigns and info, so we reached out to FlowLabs to see if they could help us, and we started working together. First they did a research of our company to then plan the best way to go. Then they developed a CRM in a really impressive time, outreaching our goals while being really useful for us. We worked a couple more months perfectioning it, and now that it is finished, we don’t even know how we lived without it!

We had meetings every two weeks to see what they had done, and to plan the next 2 weeks ahead of us.
