Please describe your company and your position there.

I'm the QA team lead at Traffic Logix. Our company produces and delivers traffic signs and traffic sign software from scratch, using IoT technology and big data. We offer sophisticated products that we continuously update with new integrations and features.

For what projects/services did your company hire Fintegro Company Inc.?

Although we had an internal software development team that handled QA, we realized that our QA analysts didn't cover all of the issues that appeared after we changed or updated our software.

We came to the conclusion that a separate QA department was the optimal solution for our current situation. We hired Fintegro to build out our QA department, taking into account our product servicing requirements.

We needed a full life cycle for QA, and this department had to include not only manual testers but automation ones as well.

What were your goals for this project?

The main goal was providing quality assurance for traffic sign software on all stages of operation. We endeavored to automate QA processes so that they will operate continuously.

We want to provide our customers with high-quality products. Any issues are unacceptable. Our signs are managed remotely; they collect data and send the data to AWS. It's crucial for us to get rid of any issues on the way from sign to server.

Describe the project in detail.

Fintegro created a strong workflow frame and a clear plan of rising effectiveness for our product operations. They analyzed each stage of our sign operation, including installation, adjustment, management, data gathering, data migration, data processing, and report generation.

What was the team composition?

Fintegro provided us with two QA engineers and a project manager to handle communication between departments. The QA engineers were integrated into our team.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Fintegro provided full support for our product. We concluded our contract and now work with them on a permanent basis.

At every stage, Fintegro helped us ensure that our software worked correctly and was high-quality. We’re now delivering our product abroad, mainly to police departments.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

They used a proven workflow that made the adaptation period very short. The project manager helped on both sides to handle and execute tasks. Both our company and Fintegro used JIRA and Confluence for workflow management.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The Fintegro QA department reviewed our project and gave us a recommendation for the optimal number of QA staff before concluding the contract. They persuaded us to take in practice their workflow model by proving to us that this model will save our budget, increase the effectiveness of our debugging efforts, and keep a high level of quality for our traffic sign software.

Are there any areas for improvement?

They could diversify the technologies that they use.

I’m the CTO of PBSC Urban Solutions, a leading global provider of sustainable transportation solutions, such as bike sharing. Recognized as a catalyst for social innovation, PBSC currently has four models of bicycles deployed around the world. We continue to expand our global footprint of over 80,000 bikes and 6,400 stations, with more than 300 million rides so far.

We hired them to handle test definition, scenario analysis, and test automation in Java.

What were your goals for this project?

We were looking to accelerate the deployment of a full test coverage solution and encompassing test definition and automation. Our local QA analysts and developers also needed to be fully integrated with a remote company providing these services.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We initially ran a trial with them in which they proposed using a free project manager to help with team alignment. The trial led to good results and we proceeded with a full-blown engagement.

Fintegro Company's team automated a large backlog of manual testing scenarios. The architecture of the test framework needed to be scalable, modular, and documented.

They assigned five QA engineers and a project manager.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Fintegro Company’s work significantly increased automated test coverage, led to a better testing methodology and QA flow, and reduced manual regression testing time.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow was challenging at first due to the time zone difference, but we were able to set up some face-to-face meetings and video conferences. Once the processes were in place, development was very efficient.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They were professional and helped us figure out our end-to-end QA processes. Fintegro Company has built impressive QA processes and fast integration mechanisms for our teams.

Are there any areas for improvement?

We're planning to do some mobile automation work and would love to see this addition to their services.
