I’m the COO of Michigan Herbal Remedies and we’re a manufacturer of CBD products. We have a wholesale business and a direct consumer business.

What challenge were you trying to address with Oh Hello Branding Group?

Oh Hello is currently leading our e-commerce and direct-to-consumer marketing efforts, as well as some branding efforts.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We engaged with Oh Hello about 30–60 days ago for the initial handshake, contract signing, and scoping of the project. The services they provide pretty much include the rebuilding of our e-commerce website, branding, and creative work to make sure that we have a great image on our website. They’re building the platform using WooCommerce.

We are also currently looking for outbound marketing efforts, as well SEO content and personifications to grow our business. Phase two of the project is the secondary action of cleaning up and recycling old content that we had, and making big improvements. Additionally, they’re also helping us update our CRM platform for B2C.

I work with Alex (CEO), Kayla (Founder), and Brittany (Marketing Project Manager).

How much have you invested with them?

We’re contracted with Oh Hello for about $5,000 a month.

What is the status of this engagement?

The ongoing partnership started in March 2021.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We haven’t seen the results yet because we literally just went live and they’re just about to start promotions, but Oh Hello has been extremely proactive and engaged. They pushed us outside of what we’ve never really looked at before, and they’ve introduced some new perspectives to the business that we haven’t had in the past.

So far, their work is extremely high-quality, and I’m very happy with what they’re able to do. They brought us options to the table and since they’re local, they’ve been able to support us very well — they’re great partners.

How did Oh Hello Branding Group perform from a project management standpoint?

They use a platform called Monday to help organize the project. They use that for big milestones and events, but as far as communications go, we use phones and email to go back and forth all the time.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’re impressed by their personal contact. I worked with other SEO and web development companies in the past, but Oh Hello is just very personable, engaged, and they bring quite a full package to the table.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We’ll see. Maybe after 30–60 days, I can answer that question better.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

One piece of advice I can give is to always be open to new ideas.

We needed Oh Hello Branding Group to help us with branding and advertising. As a new company, we also wanted to get our name out there.

What was the scope of their involvement?

At first, we didn’t know where to start. We weren’t the type of company that Oh Hello was used to. They had to learn what we were doing and how things worked for us before they could make any suggestions. But they came on board, learned about us, and became our guide. 

Oh Hello did a lot of our behind-the-scenes work, capturing data so we could see how much traffic was our website getting, developing a blog and a website for us, and setting up our Facebook and LinkedIn accounts. They did the logo, the branding, and everything involved with advertising. 

They helped and explained to us how advertising online works and the importance of getting your name out there. They’d always report with us at the end of the month and explain traffic that came through our website and social media. They did all the heavy lifting for us, and it was amazing to see the data at the end of the day

There were probably five people involved in all our interactions, and three on a regular basis, which included Alex and Kayla (Founders).

How did you come to work with Oh Hello Branding Group?

We met them in person at the Chamber of Commerce in Grand Rapids. We loved their personalities and some of the work we’d seen them do. When I saw their website, I thought it was beautiful. We knew nothing about branding, and it was their specialty. My co-founder, who’s also my husband, talked about it with me, and we decided to go ahead and give it a shot at hiring them to help us, and they sure did.

How much have you invested with them?

I’d estimate it was in the $50,000–$100,000 range.

What is the status of this engagement?

We founded our company in October 2019, and we hired them just a couple of months after, in March 2020. We had a year-long contract with them. If we need anything, like a little task period rather than paying for the full package price, we can still contact them. So, if we need help, we’re absolutely still going for them.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

It’s all good things. I can’t give you numbers off the top of my head, but I remember every single time we’d go over the data, the numbers were amazing. We certainly got a lot of traction, and our traffic definitely went up.

How did Oh Hello Branding Group perform from a project management standpoint?

They did really well. We’d do meetings with the whole team and talk about everything that we needed to do. We’d discuss who was in charge of doing what, and then Alex would email us afterward recapping what we discussed and the assignments we had. They were mostly the ones in charge of project management for the most part, but sometimes they had to wait on us to get the information. Alex would make sure we got them what they needed and always stayed on top of it. 

Our main platforms of communication were email, Monday, HubSpot, and Microsoft Teams for our meetings.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I believe they are more creative than most. They balance each other, which is rare but important for a husband-and-wife team. They were great listeners and know their trade, which made it easy to communicate with them.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They can improve their response times. I know it happens to all of us, but I’d reach out to them with an email, and it would take them a little bit longer to get back to me. I know it was because they’re very busy and have a lot of clients that they’re dealing with. It didn’t always happen, just once in a while. But I understand, as a business owner myself, sometimes the inbox can get a little backed up when there’s so much going on. That would be my only suggestion for improvement.

Any advice for potential customers?

Be open-minded and listen to what they have to say, because they know what they are talking about. I’ve referred multiple people to them already because we enjoyed working with them so much.

I am the co-owner of OnSite Wellness, which is a well-being solutions provider for organizations across the US. We help design, develop, implement, and administer wellness programs.

What challenge were you trying to address with Oh Hello Branding Group?

We were looking for a full-service marketing provider to help us on several facets, such as website and social media management, SEO, and content marketing. We wanted to get the whole package from one vendor, basically.

What was the scope of their involvement?

The services Oh Hello Branding Group provides are comprehensive. They oversee an entire marketing campaign to help with our online presence. They build evergreen materials and work on our SEO, ensuring that everything is tied together and moving in the same direction. They also assist with specific quarterly marketing campaigns. 

Initially, we had a dialog revolving around our needs, and we exchanged ideas for the marketing campaigns. Since we’re a unique business, there has to be collaboration around the messaging and content. I supply them with content outlines and information about our industry to help them, but they do their own research on our business and how best to conduct SEO work. They also look at our competitors’ strategies. The processes are iterative and collaborative — they revise their work based on our feedback until they arrive at what we need.

I work with three people: Alex (CEO), a project manager, and someone who works on our website. They contracted out a few people to help with design work, but I don't know how many are involved. 

How did you come to work with Oh Hello Branding Group?

I was introduced to them by a colleague. When I started interviewing different marketing agencies, I felt that Oh Hello Branding Group was the most flexible to work with. They were also willing to learn our business and grow with us as we go through marketing projects. I liked them as people, and we really connected.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent about $25,000 throughout the entire project.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project started in September 2019, and it’s still ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

I’m very satisfied with the work they’ve been doing. The team’s creativity and inventiveness are impressive — the sky’s the limit when it comes to them.

We don’t really have statistics because we’re not asking for that kind of data. I know they’re currently building that for themselves, so there will be in the future, but that’s not how we measure it. 

How did Oh Hello Branding Group perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management is solid. The team has good systems in place, but they’re willing to adjust when I make suggestions on how we can improve our partnership. The team is excellent at keeping things on track and on time — they enforce deadlines and remind me when a task is due, which is important to me.

In terms of communication, we usually exchange emails, which is my preference. We also have bi-monthly video calls to discuss projects and updates, as well as occasional in-person meetings. They did invite me to use specific tools, but I didn’t really need them.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The one thing that stands out to me is their willingness to learn about and understand my company. They’re keen to gather my input so they can market our business correctly — they don’t just want to be the expert all the time, and they really listen to my thoughts and ideas. 

They bend over backward to make sure something is right. When I interviewed marketing companies, some of their offers included only a handful of edits. However, Oh Hello Branding Group is willing to make as many changes as we need for the product to be perfect. They are very attentive — they're eager to learn how to work with me in the most effective way. Our relationship keeps getting better the longer we work together. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

There was some miscommunication about our expectations at some point, but we’ve since solved that issue. We’re just getting into our groove, so we’re still learning how to collaborate effectively. However, we’re open with each other, so we can easily work through any situation.

They truly haven’t done anything wrong throughout our engagement. Sometimes, I would say I’m the one slowing the team down because I have other things to do in my job. If things fall behind, it's usually because I’m busy, and I acknowledge that.

We are a medical practice and my role here is the practice manager, so I assist the physician and the owner in all their needs on the business side of things.

What challenge were you trying to address with Oh Hello Branding Group?

We needed to make our branding more solid. In particular, we wanted to work on our brand unity to make sure we were giving out a consistent message in our marketing and figure out how to market ourselves to our ideal patients. We also needed to focus on actually doing our business and working with our patients, so we decided to outsource our marketing efforts.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Oh Hello Branding Group stepped in and took the marketing role off of our plate and they now handle quite a bit of work — they work on the collateral for our brand and run ad campaigns for our special offers, and they help manage our Instagram by making sure we’re posting at the right time and so on. 

They also manage our existing website. They update it to make sure that our website stays ADA compliant. If we’re selling new items, they update our online shop. If one of our doctors is on the news, they make sure that it gets posted on the site. They also do SEO work.

Aside from the ongoing work they do, they also trained our staff to increase our product sales with patients in the office. On an as-needed basis, they assist in the printing and design of our business cards and appointment cards.

What is the team composition?

We work with four people, but I don’t see what's going on behind the scenes. I'm in constant contact with a designer and two account managers; one of the account managers handles our day-to-day and the other has a more executive role.

I met Alex (CEO) through a networking event a couple of years ago. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in May 2020, and it’s still ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

There's a HIPAA barrier, so I can’t say how many actual patients they bring in and what the monetary value of these patients is. However, their SEO work increased the business of our site — since they took over, our monthly traffic has doubled, which is quite an increase. The average time that people stay on our site has also gone up, along with our online sales and online appointment requests. 

How did Oh Hello Branding Group perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management and communication have been fantastic. They're very hands-on and they’re good at keeping us up to date with our to-do-list — we get swamped with our patients and they’re very understanding of the situation, so they make sure that things get done by reminding us without being too burdensome.

What did you find most impressive about them?

If we have any feedback or we'd like to try another angle, it all gets corrected immediately and I never have to ask them twice. We’re just really happy with them and I'd recommend them to anyone who is ready to grow their business. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

There's nothing that I can think of that they could improve — we’re really happy with everything they've done so far. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be very honest with them about your business, tell them who your dream clients are, and take the discovery process seriously. Sit down with them as they try to narrow down and figure out the project, and piece it together with them because it really helps. I don't think you'll get good results if you just select your partner and don’t engage with them.
