FabroLabs would assign the appropriate manager based on the task. All managers were there for initial product kickoff to identify which team would take responsibility for a portion of the project. For example, when working with Engineer, I'd work directly with mechanical engineer. Rendering, animations, graphics, I would work with design team. 

Each team has delivered on time in a reocurring manner. They work with respect and transparency.

Each team member took the time to identify problems before they happened. Several times they've shown clever decisions that saved time and manufacturing challenges. The most impressive part, they've suggested these without interfering with design vision and values.

FabroLabs is a growing team with growing services. They take feedback seriously. Each time I work on a new section of a project, it gets smoother and smoother. I do not have a lot of feedback for their team at this moment.

We struggled to find capable engineers who were willing to take on our unique project until we were fortunate to find Fabrolabs. Not only did they give our project the attention and detail we were looking for, but they believed in the product itself. Their friendliness and professionalism were two traits we were very happy with. Meeting with their team to discuss projects felt like conversing with friends who genuinely want to see you do well.

Most challenges experienced were not due to Fabrolabs but more a supply chain issue for components required for our device.

The project has resulted in a fully functional prototype of the Orphea handheld piano, demonstrating core features such as sound output, key input, and firmware integration. Fabrolabs Innovations Private limited has also delivered a live Shopify storefront for Pianni, enabling us to begin selling and marketing our beginner-friendly piano products. These deliverables have allowed us to move from concept to a testable product and a working e-commerce presence, marking significant progress toward commercialization.Since Orphea is still in development, we’ve measured success through prototype performance (sound, responsiveness, and stability) and internal testing. For the Shopify site, we’ve focused on functionality, user experience, and early traffic behavior to ensure readiness for launch.

This end-to-end capability has made the process more efficient and streamlined, especially for an early-stage product.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could improve on setting clearer timelines and more consistent milestone tracking, especially for the hardware development portion of the project. Given the iterative nature of prototyping, having more structured updates and defined checkpoints would make it easier to track progress and align expectations.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

During prototype testing, we’ve encountered several typical hardware development challenges, including audio distortion at higher volumes, inconsistent key sensitivity, and tuning accuracy that requires further calibration. These issues have required multiple iterations and have made it difficult to define fixed performance benchmarks early on, as the product is still evolving.On the website side, there have been minor development and integration challenges, but nothing that has significantly impacted progress. Overall, while these setbacks have extended iteration timelines, they’ve been a normal part of the development process and have helped refine both the product and user experience.
