What specific goals or objectives did you hire Exaud to accomplish?

• In response to the challenges posed by COVID-19, we recognized the need to digitize our product offerings, and turned to Exaud as our technology partner.
• Our goal was to create a comprehensive digital tool that would enable employees to receive customized training and collaborate seamlessly within a 3D digital environment, specifically designed for this purpose.
• Drawing on our years of experience in handling such training and corporate culture transformation programs, we worked closely with Exaud to develop a solution that leveraged our expertise and their technical capabilities.

Learning Design Network, Inc. had a vision to revolutionize online learning through an immersive and interactive 3D experience in three phases: Lobby, Presentation Hall and Small Groups around Learning Activities. The lobby was a place where participants can connect with each other via video chat or explore a Gallery wall. The lobby also boasts various ice breaker rooms with captivating 3D environments, truly enhancing the user experience.

In the next phase, participants are transported to the incredible presentation hall, where speakers present from a dynamic green screen and appear to be on a real stage inside the app. The audience can view multiple slides or videos, and with up to 500 participants in the hall, they are broken into smaller groups to participate in exhilarating learning activities.

After an hour of interactive learning, the smaller groups convene again int the Presentation Hall to debrief and share their stories and learnings with the larger group. Exhaud helped transform this vision into reality.

• We delivered a complex product in an complex IT enterprise landscape

The software project management was highly effective, with a clear vision and goals established from the outset. The project manager demonstrated exceptional leadership skills, providing clear guidance to the team and maintaining a positive and productive work environment

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We had a challenging app development project, and while it took longer than expected and went over budget, the team at Exhaud never gave up. They worked tirelessly to overcome obstacles and delivered an exceptional product. Despite the setbacks, their team remained communicative and transparent throughout the entire process, which made all the difference.

We were incredibly grateful for their hard work and dedication and would recommend them to anyone looking for a team that will go above and beyond to deliver a great product.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Exaud could have done differently?

It would have been beneficial to receive more direction on how best to simplify the vision. Although we had an ambitious vision, having a plan to achieve incremental successes before progressing further would have been advantageous. Despite eventually reaching our goal, the journey proved to be arduous and strained our client relationship.

Take over maintenance and support of an existing web application and continue development and expansion of that same web application.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Team size and skills, communication capability, experience with GCP and Node.js.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

Agile management using the Bitbucket platform. Tasks with priority were cataloged by us as the customer. Exaud evaluated the objectives and organized multiple sprints with monthly release cycles. Application runs on GCP using Node.js.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

Chiefly working with one developer. Exaud also provided staff for light-duty PM tasks and other developers/testers as needed.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Exaud resources have been excellent communicators. The project scope was very vague to begin with, but Exaud developed a general budget estimate anyway. We were able to work together to align cost with the general budget.

Project tasks are defined and progress tracked in Bitbucket. Agile management approach with two week sprints. Monthly release cycle.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I was a little concerned with communication at first, but it has turned out to be excellent.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We have probably resolved more than 50 individual issues together and it has been going very well. To make improvements, we would probably need to more deliberately identify risk factors for each issue and then more deeply analyze how to address the issue with greatest efficiency.

Exaud gave us great support and supplemented our team on various projects. One of the big difference in working with Exaud is that the team learns customer's requirements and proposes customer specific solutions. Very different from outsourced teams that wait for specific directions.
