Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.
Over the last four years, Embevity has acted as Dimeq AS’ core development partner, delivering end-to-end engineering across our hardware, embedded software, and system integration for multiple maritime safety products (including our onboard base-station units, wearable/wristband ecosystem, networked “gate” infrastructure, and supporting tooling). The scope has covered the full product lifecycle: requirements shaping with Dimeq, technical architecture and component selection, electronics and PCB design, embedded firmware development (device logic, communications, diagnostics, updates), prototyping and iterative verification, production readiness (DFM/DFT input, test strategy, and manufacturing handover), and support during sea trials and early customer installations. Work has also included reliability hardening for harsh marine environments (power, EMC/noise robustness, enclosure and connector considerations), integration with vessel communication workflows where relevant, and continuous improvement based on field feedback.
Key deliverables included:
System architecture and technical specifications for core devices and product variants.
Hardware deliverables: schematics, PCB layouts, BOMs, prototypes, and production-ready revisions.
Firmware deliverables: embedded software for base units and peripherals (communications stack, alarm/event handling, diagnostics, logging, update mechanisms, and commissioning support).
Integration deliverables: interface definitions and implementations between onboard units, wearables, and the broader Dimeq solution stack (including configuration flows and operational modes).
Test and verification assets: test plans, validation procedures, production test concepts/fixtures support, and defect triage processes.
Documentation and handover: technical documentation enabling manufacturing, deployment, servicing, and ongoing maintenance, plus structured knowledge transfer to Dimeq.
Field support: troubleshooting and improvements during pilots, installations, and iterative product maturation toward stable, reliable releases.
