I’m the assistant to a C-level executive at WTG Spain, a real estate company owned by Ukrainian people and selling real estate properties in Spain.

What challenge were you trying to address with Elogic Commerce?
We mainly work online, so it was important for us to create a proper website that could serve us as a landing page and a place to provide clients with information about our properties for sale. We also wanted it to function like a marketplace to embed the possibility for other partners and sellers to incorporate their offerings so that we had more properties on display.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Elogic Commerce designed and developed our website. Initially, we went through a discovery process that included stakeholder interviews to assess our requirements. After that, they built the website, integrating a marketplace functionality to meet our needs — that feature was Elogic Commerce’s idea. As for the technology stack, the site is based on Magento and uses React for its frontend.
What is the team composition?
We worked with a project manager, a team of designers, two backend developers, two frontend developers, a DevOps engineer, and a QA engineer.
How did you come to work with Elogic Commerce?
We issued an RFP to various e-commerce development agencies we found online. On their proposal, Elogic Commerce offered to run a thorough discovery phase and conduct interviews to scope the project better — we really liked that idea.
They also gave us the opportunity to talk to their team members during the initial interview to see if we would be comfortable with the team we would be working with, which we did, so we moved forward with them. We wanted to build this website quickly, and fortunately, Elogic Commerce was available to assign a full team to the project to deliver it quickly.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent between €25,000–€50,000 (approximately $26,000–$53,000 USD).
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together from November 2021–February 2022. Still, they help us with maintenance on an ad-hoc basis; whenever we need something, we can reach out to them.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The e-commerce site developed by Elogic Commerce had a very positive impact on our business — that’s why we agreed to leave a review for them. Compared to our former website, the new one had faster page loading times. Moreover, our conversion rate increased by 15%–20%.
How did Elogic Commerce perform from a project management standpoint?
We were pleased with Elogic Commerce’s project management methodology. We had a daily standing meeting with the project manager and the rest of their team. Additionally, we set up a Gantt chart with the timeline and the project’s structure.
As for collaboration tools, we used Slack and ActiveCollab for communication and documentation management. On Active Collab, we could also see and track the hours Elogic Commerce spent on certain tasks.

Go for the initial discovery phase because it’s a great idea. It will prevent you from engaging with them or any other company on a full project. Our goal was to develop a B2B webshop for the group's company which primary business area is importing and selling industrial components.

We chose Elogic as our development partner because they'd had experience in web development for companies from similar industries. They also showed effective communication from the very beginning. The project estimate they prepared was very detailed and accurate (as it turned out later), even though we didn't completely define the scope at the project start.
The project started with setting up an integration between the Magento 2 platform and the company's ERP. The Elogic team copied the content of the old website and introduced a new home page design. To meet various business requirements, a range of third-party modules was installed and customized during the project. Besides this, Elogic participated in setting up the integration between the company's PIM system and the webshop.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
During the project, we communicated with the technical lead, who was passing all the requirements to the project team consisting of back-end and front-end developers. The number of people correlated well to the number of tasks, and we didn't experience any lack of resources.

The project was completed in time and under the estimated budget. All the set goals were achieved, and all the issues we came across were resolved in a highly professional manner.

Vasyl, our project manager on the vendor's side, was supportive and flexible. We could always get answers to our questions and fast response to critical issues. What was the scope of their involvement?
Elogic fixed our Magento 2 site that had many problems. Their team first did a full code review and scoped out all of the site’s issues. For example, there were a lot of issues around the marketplace functionality. Then, Elogic fixed all the existing bugs, including the issues with our email and invoicing systems. They got into the marketplace plug-in and rewrote its logic too.
Then, their team started building out new functionalities. They worked with different modules that they also customized. Elogic rolled out new features too such as geographic exclusivity to show people who bought products in their area. Their team's still moving the product forward.

The most important metrics are the site’s speed and usability. The site was incredibly slow and Elogic made it five-times faster, which is great. They probably doubled the usability of the site if I had to put it into a metric. Their team definitely fixed the site.

They have a can-do attitude and are super responsive. I can send them a Skype message any time of the day or night and they’ll be on it. We use email, Google Meets, and ActiveCollab to communicate.

Their responsiveness is their most impressive quality. They’re really on it. Other people complain about agencies burying their projects into the mix but that doesn’t happen with Elogic. Their team always responds to us and makes requests happen then and there.

I like that Elogic started on our project straight away. However, it may have been helpful for them to have provided us with a more formal onboarding process. They could've assigned a person to set out a bit more of a road map.

We meet deadlines, and the communication is pretty open. If we go outside of an agreed-upon time frame, they communicate that there are unexpected problems or challenges that they need to invest more time in.

We get good quality for a reasonable price compared to the Australian market. They have enough resources to facilitate all of our requests. They also learn on the go. One example is the implementation of our bank merchant facility and a third party, ready-to-use application. They built the integration with the API from scratch. It works well.

They should not stop improving themselves, but there are no specific examples of where they should improve.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Agree on the strategy of the implementation and the budget, and track budget versus actuals. They provide their timesheets with a breakdown of the work they perform during the month. Their billing structure is time-based — it’s not a fixed price. Potentially for some clients, it’d be beneficial to have a fixed price.

Elogic Commerce handled each unexpected obstacle well, coming up with good solutions. For example, when our hosting provider refused to accommodate us with Magento 2, the team recommended Amazon, explaining that they had a hosting server nearby. They also switched it over very quickly. It was impressive.
How did Elogic Commerce perform from a project management standpoint?
They did a good job of managing the project. The team kept us informed of what they needed from us, as well as any progress. They checked with us before making changes and were very communicative throughout the entire process.
They were accurate in their estimated hours for the project, and the delays that occurred were not their fault. We used Colab to see the progress, and we communicated via WhatsApp.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They’re knowledgeable, and each member has a specialty. They made the project, which was quite large, feel seamless.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, I can’t think of anything.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Thoroughly discuss the plan. Give them all the details, especially any non-standard particulars you require. They will let you know if they can make it happen, and what is needed to do so.

I’m the CEO and co-founder of dops.digital, a website, web design, 3-D, and animation development company.

What challenge were you trying to address with Elogic Commerce?
We needed help with backend e-commerce development.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Elogic has worked on at least three of our customers’ projects. The team has helped us with backend development on Magento and WooCommerce. We’re responsible for the UX/UI part and they’re responsible for the development part.
At the start of the engagement, we needed to create the technical assignment for our projects. We relied on them a lot for their backend development expertise, and together, we created the assignment which would satisfy both the design and development expectations of our customer.
They also provided the project management of the whole development process. The three projects are now finished and delivered to the customer but they still supply support and maintenance.
What is the team composition?
We’ve worked with 1-2 project managers, a QA manager, e-commerce developers, and Magento developers. For urgent questions, their co-founders were also involved. There are approximately eight people per project.
How did you come to work with Elogic Commerce?
Elogic hired us first to create a simple corporate web design for their website. They were very close to our values and our goals, and work with similar markets. We realized we could work together.

We started working together in September 2019 and the work is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’re very happy working with Elogic. They deliver the same quality and time expectations that we have on the project. All the feedback we get is positive. The second and third project was from the same big customer — they were definitely a satisfied customer because they ordered the next project again.
How did Elogic Commerce perform from a project management standpoint?
The team was always online and very responsive to every message. They met deadlines. The deadlines included customer feedback implementation.
We used Jira, Skype, and Telegram. We’ve also used a tool for the communication between the designers and developers.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The management system is the best part of the engagement. They also have very strong and fast-responding project managers. They responded even during non-working hours. The development is stable, like it should be.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They could maybe expand in order to motivate us to give them even more projects than we currently do. They’re not limited by their size but if we work with them, we try to be gradual. Maybe in the future, just to assure us that we can scale the teams when we work on big projects in order to not just create one project at a time but several projects in a row.

Give all your requirements as detailed as possible from the new customer side in order for Elogic to understand your needs and expectations as much as possible.

What challenge were you trying to address with Elogic Commerce?
As an e-commerce consultant, solutions require development work from time to time. I’m in the position to provide options for service providers to clients. I was supposed to choose partners for clients. This project required a Magento 1 to Magento 2 migration.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
My client was a big fashion retailer with a Magento 1 website that had significant monthly traffic. They wanted to migrate from Magento 1 to Magento 2. They had a team that worked in Magento 1 and didn’t want to stop their efforts. Elogic Commerce handled the migration because their team had expertise with Magento.
What is the team composition?
We hired four developers, one project manager, and a QA teammate.
How did you come to work with Elogic Commerce?
I reviewed a Magento directory and searched Google. I found two options but out of those options, Elogic Commerce had the strongest Magento 1 to Magento 2 offer. After that, I pulled up some information in the Magento directory because it was important that their team was certified.

The whole scope of the project cost around $300,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started the project in December 2018, and it wrapped up in March 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
There’s a significant improvement in the site’s performance. The average session duration improved as well as the overall conversions. We expect the conversions to be 20% higher with the Magento 2 build than with the Magento 1 build. There are many factors contributing to the site's improvements such as site speed and design.
How did Elogic Commerce perform from a project management standpoint?
We had stand up calls every other week and reviews every other two weeks. We also had a general call with the client every month. This was the first project that I didn’t have to intrude upon to make any changes with project management and I’ve been in this space for six years. It was fantastic.
What did you find most impressive about them?
When I chose them, they had a great phrase such as great work requires great engineers. Elogic Commerce is focused on Magento, so they’re great with Magento. We looked into companies with different capabilities but the fact that their team was committed to Magento and offered straightforward expertise were the reasons that we chose them.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They listened to our feedback, which was valuable. In the beginning, they didn’t have DevOps teammates but during our commitment, they hired someone.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
The most important factor is to have precise communication in the beginning to set clear expectations. If it’s figured out at the beginning, they’ll set high expectations.

We first had a kickoff call to properly understand the client's needs, and the Elogic guys really showed their insight both technically from a Magento perspective and business wise, as they're e-commerce experts. They quickly came back with a proposal, and once that was approved they got to work.
There were a few unforeseen complications with the end client's Magento setup and unusual payment solutions used on their store, but eventually it worked and the guys were very professional and responsive to get the little things fixed.
What was the team composition?
We had one Magento developer assigned as a main contact who took care of everything on Elogic's side. We were aware of there being a team but not sure of its composition.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?
The most important factor for my business is happy clients - positive feedback and repeat business. It wasn't an easy project, but these main aims were achieved because the client has come back for more.
How was project management arranged and how effective was it?
This project wasn't huge, so a dedicated PM wasn't needed. Communication was managed through Skype and was effective enough.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Easy to get started. They only accept jobs that they know that they can do, and are good at managing expectations. If there's a problem to resolve, then the owner is approachable and pragmatic. All good.
Are there any areas for improvement?
Maybe to make the proposals and reporting more thorough. This was quite a small project though, so not too much need for bureaucracy.
