I am the Company Manager of FooPlugins

FooPlugins is a digital product company, and our products are used on hundreds of thousands of websites. We use a freemium model and offer customers a lot of value in the free products; we offer them even more value in the premium products, to help them grow.

What specific goals or objectives did you hire Ellipsis® to accomplish?

• Our main objectives was to add new top-ranking content, improve rankings for existing content, and grow sales.

Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

Ellipsis plans our SEO Content quarterly, with the help of their FALCON AI tool. So to start with we received a batch of keywords, titles, etc for review. Ellipsis’ Strategy team clustered these for us so that we could build on existing rankings where possible. Our Content Manager is our main point of contact, and creates the content briefs based on the approved keywords each month. 

We work on a set number of posts each month, and are building a library of content that can get rankings and convert to sales. Each month, our Content Manager takes 3x keywords from the approval queue, and creates the content briefs for us. Ben’s content briefs are very detailed, often at a third to half the target word count of the content. We use these to create the finished content. 

Once each piece of content is drafted, our Content Manager edits this, and when the content is published a member of the Ellipsis team carries out promotion, which includes link building. We receive monthly reports on work done and performance, and we meet with our Content Manager and a member of the Strategy team every other month to review progress and discuss next steps. 

Below is a summary of some of our key deliverables: 

• To provide 3 comprehensive article outlines every month. 
• The outlines are to cover new topics, or on occasion, revise existing content, all with the goal of creating content that will rank. 
• To edit said articles and, once published, promote through various channels.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We’ve been able to build on our content and target a more relevant audience, which has resulted in positive growth for our business. Within 6 months of starting Content Growth, our organic traffic has increased 48% overall. 

We’ve also seen significant month-on-month increases in the performance of Content Growth content. Clicks to this content from organic search more than doubled between February and March 2023; March 2023 then saw a significant increase in sales for us.

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

The project management has been outstanding. From the beginning, our Content Manager Ben set up an effective way to communicate, and always kept us up-to-date with any progress. Keywords and content outlines were delivered for review well in advance, and content is edited quickly, allowing us to publish articles regularly.

 If we have had comments or queries regarding the content, the team has responded quickly.I also feel that they have listened to any concerns of ours and addressed these in their content strategy. They have also been more than helpful with queries we have had about other content, thereby helping us make solid decisions.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

When we first signed on with Ellipses, we had seen how they had helped other companies grow. But, from previous experience, we were not as optimistic about our results. However, they listened to our concerns and talked us through the processes they would follow. Since then, we have seen remarkable results from the work that they have done for us. 

Their content strategy is solid, and they have provided comprehensive keyword research and briefs, using FALCON AI. This has allowed us to improve and grow our content, which has resulted in better traffic to our site. Unlike other marketing companies that we have worked with, Ellipses was able to deliver on their projected outcomes. 

On top of this, it is a pleasure to work with the team - they are efficient and helpful, and have made this a great experience overall.

Are there any areas for improvement or something {provider_name} could have done differently?

We’re pleased with the increase in organic traffic and our sales have increased, but any digital product business is always after more traffic and more conversions! We’re looking forward to continuing to grow both.
