So the scope was clear from the start. We needed apps for both iOS and Android, and they had to be perfect. Here’s what they worked on:

iOS App: They built a native iOS app exactly the way we wanted it, making sure it was easy to navigate, smooth to use, and had all the features our customers needed. They really focused on user experience, which was big for us.
Android App: Same thing for Android – a native app that worked perfectly on all devices, fast, clean design, and no hiccups. They took into account the unique stuff Android users expect.
Cross-Platform Consistency: They made sure both apps worked seamlessly across devices, doing tons of testing to avoid any issues between platforms.
Integration of Features: They built out the key features we asked for, like secure logins, syncing with our back-end systems, and adding a bunch of APIs for payment and product catalogs. Everything works great together.

Since launch, online sales have gone up by about 15%, so that was a huge win for us.
The app got over 10k downloads on Google Play and 8.5k+ on the App Store, which was way beyond our initial expectations.

The project consisted of multiple hard tasks, beginning with the migration from our live environment to staging for initial testing. They were also in charge of upgrading our server to verify compliance with the new PHP requirements, troubleshooting a variety of extensions, extensively testing the environment, and eventually delivering the upgrade live. 

All of this was managed using our project management software to keep things on schedule and maintain transparency throughout the process.

The live upgrade went quite smoothly, with minimum downtime, allowing us to continue operating our online store without severe delays. What jumped out was the lack of bugs in the live environment following the upgrade—a huge relief for us, given the inherent difficulties of Magento updates. 

This was due to their extensive testing methodology and attention to detail, which allowed us provide a consistent experience for our clients.

I’m a business development manager at an apparel and fashion company.

What challenges were you trying to address with Edgebound?

We had an outsourcing service in the past, but we decided to implement everything necessary to manage it ourselves. It implied new technology platforms, logistics, and customer service, among other things.

They helped us a lot. The e-commerce platform has worked well since day one. Everything from the technical side to the processes behind it helped us create a robust platform that continues to work without complications.

At first, we thought of working with them for every part of the process. However, we ended up doing another thing with another company. When we called them back, they were still willing to work with us even in those conditions.

They were open and willing to adapt to our needs in terms of time and budget. We didn’t have any issues with deadlines, so they were quick in that regard.

We had several in-person meetings and used Microsoft tools for project management. Additionally, they adapted to all the project management tools we used.

Our ecommerce was approximately 8 years old and was in a version that did not allow us to evolve, we made the decision to update the version of HCL commerce to the latest one, which implied a challenge at the infrastructure level, it was to change from VM to Docker. Here we managed to migrate 4 virtual stores in the latest technology and supported under Redhat Openshift

A weekly follow-up was carried out giving status and progress of the project.
