What challenge were you trying to address with Driven Films?

We hired Driven Films to produce videos for TV.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Initially, Joe (Owner) built a website for us, which he did more as a favor. Then, he handled the video production process and provided all the proper filming equipment. During the production, our schedule was always packed. We’d start in the morning and spend 12 hours per day to get everything done. After that, we edited the videos, which also took some time because we filmed a lot of cars. 

What is the team composition?

Apart from Joe, we’ve also worked with his crew. The team composition varies. If we need two people, they’ll have two people working with us. If we need, they’ll have four. 

How did you come to work with Driven Films?

I met Joe at a big car event, and we worked together for a program where we interviewed people about their cars. From there, we worked on another big event where he used a drone camera and put another camera at the end of the track. That showed me that he saw my vision; when the car crossed the finish line, we had to see it crossing the track. He understood that. A lot of YouTube videos didn’t show that, but TV-quality videos did. That was when I asked him to work with me on this Super Car World TV project. I also had real-life interactions with Joe, so I know he could get along with anyone, and we loved that. As a result, I continued working with him. 

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent around $30,000. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in June 2018, and our partnership is technically ongoing, although this specific project has been finished. We haven’t done anything new yet because of the unpredictability of the COVID-19 pandemic. 

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Driven Films has delivered the TV-quality video I’m looking for; unfortunately, we had to break the video up and everything went to YouTube. It never made it to the TV program. To clarify, this had nothing to do with Joe or Driven Films. The COVID-19 pandemic hit, which put a halt to everything, so we weren’t able to get on TV.

Overall, Driven Films’ work is great. In fact, it’s so good that I’ve generated sales from it. For one, I’ve found people on social media who want to create YouTube videos. I let them see the video that Joe has created, and within 15 minutes, the client will invite us over to talk and work together because they love the video I’ve shown them. 

On top of that, Driven Films provides a great service because they’re always on time. Joe also always has the right equipment, which helps with the overall quality of the final video. Moreover, some cars look like other ones, and it’s not easy filming cars while making sure they’re in order. Luckily, being a car nut himself, Joe always knows the cars we’re filming. 

How did Driven Films perform from a project management standpoint?

As the manager of his crew, Joe is great at bringing in people with special skills. In fact, one of his crewmates teaches film at a local college. On top of that, he listens well to his teammates, especially when they’re on the field. Overall, he manages the team well. 

Moreover, Joe loves taking B-rolls. As a result, we have plenty of footage that we can use in the future, proving that this is a good investment. These are things that most other camerapeople won’t think about; Joe isn’t like them. 

Likewise, our communication is good because we’ve become friends. We talk to each other all the time. He always answers the phone. If I can’t reach him, he’ll reach out within an hour or two. He’s not the type of person that won’t respond for a week.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The quality of their work is impressive; it belongs to TV. In fact, people love it so much that they ask why we haven’t had more followers. In other words, I’ve received what I’ve paid for, and it’s great. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

If I could change anything, I wouldn’t use such a big crew. I’d simplify things because of cost factors. We could also have better batteries for the equipment. Other than that, I wouldn’t change so much; I’d just simplify the filming process.

This was project was an individual project for me personally. I'm a car enthusiast in South Florida.

For what projects/services did your company hire Driven Films, and what were your goals?

Even though this project was just a part of my hobby. I had very high expectations. The car featured is relatively rare and unique. I mentioned to Joe that I have no artistic vision. He still approached this with a very serious and professional attitude. As I mentioned having high expectations and nearly zero vision of how it should or could turn out, I gave Joe 100% control and freedom to direct me through the process the entire way.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I just so happened to stumble across Driven Films work through a local friend on Instagram. With seeing some of their previous work I knew right from the start that Joe was the man for the job.

We started off by chatting a little bit thru email and sharing some pictures. Joe then suggested a few locations and provided a full service walk through on how I could do my part. We spent the majority of an afternoon shooting film and taking a few pictures. After he had a good edit of the video progress we then did the sound clips and Joe was back at the editing process again. In just a short few weeks he provided me with a mind blowing short film. Something much more than I had expected.

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

Working 1 on 1 with Joe, it was clear his level of expertise and attention to detail is second to none. Joe was very attentive and brought everything needed to do the job in one session. He sent me a few clips and still shots (teasers) throughout the editing process, asking for my opinion and keeping me on my toes until the final product was done.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

I used Joe's final product as a commemoration post for hitting 1k followers on the cars instagram page. Tons of positive feedback. I really couldn't have been happier with the outcome of the project.

Joe was thorough from the start. He gave me a few options to help accommodate my busy work schedule. Even went as far as to update me on weather and time frame to best benefit from the natural lighting angles and such.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The overall professionalism and ease made it really apparent that they knew what they were doing. Their eye for catching the right angles and transitioning thru the video was seamless.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I really couldn't see a way to improve on Joe's technique or style. I definitely recommend everyone to reach out to Driven Films anytime they mention needing a high end videographer. I look forward to working with him in the future

P2R Power Rev Racing is a manufacturer for automotive performance parts. We specialize in the Honda V6 engine and do a lot of racing to showcase our product line.

I hired Driven Films to make a video that will help showcase why customers should choose our brand products.

How did you select Driven Films and what were the deciding factors?

I have seen some of there other work through social media and saw how there work could help with the image i'm looking for in my business.

We started with a couple of phone calls to discuss exactly what i was trying to do. We then scheduled with the machine shops where we make our product so that we can get access and timing right to be able to shoot the products being made. Once we were able to film the products being made. We scheduled a time for me to do my interview portion of the video.

Once all the recording was completed, they provided the final edited video for me to review. With very few changes needed we were finally at a finished product that I was happy with.

I worked directly with the owner of the studio. He listened very well and was able to understand what i wanted. So the process was very smooth.

Since I have released the video, I have actually heard from customers who were up in the air on buying our product but after seeing the great work that we do from the video. It was a no brainer for them to buy our product over any of the competition.

Everything was delivered in a timely manner. It actually went quicker than expected for me.

I really liked the fact that they specialize in automotive. So I felt more at home when communicating with them. It allowed me to use terms that only car people know. And made it a lot easier for him to understand what i wanted to film and why. They were easy and a pleasure to work with.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

My process was so smooth that i really cant say what could have been done differently. I am actually very satisfied.

Ive worked with production companies before and its been a headache. Joe and the driven film team have been remarkable. They get it. They have the eye to bring my dreams to reality. They are extremely professional and go above and beyond. I couldn't be happier with them and already have plans to use them again on other projects.
