Dots Mobile has developed our iOS app using Swift. The team has launched the app, and we're continuing to work with them to introduce new features and apply necessary fixes.

We found Dots Mobile on Upwork. We chose them over other options because they had high ratings, their pricing fit our budget, they had a great culture fit, they offered good value for the cost, and their company values aligned with ours.

We started working with Dots Mobile in October 2025, and our engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Dots Mobile has successfully completed all milestones in line with the project brief. Since the app's launch, we've acquired 500 users and four five-star reviews.

How did Dots Mobile perform from a project management standpoint?

Dots Mobile is mostly doing a good job in terms of time management. We communicate via virtual meetings, email, and a messaging app.

What did you find most impressive or unique about them?

I'm impressed with how well the co-founder understands our customers and business. The UI/UX designer is fast and hardworking, and the Swift developer is awesome.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Dots Mobile lacks product management and product analytics experience. They could hire someone for that part.

We’ve worked with multiple team members from Dots Mobile. Their size and nimbleness is another plus. Small enough to where you develop real, personal connection & trust. But large enough to be able to flex work where you need them — thus accommodating changing levels of need in terms of development.

How did you come to work with Dots Mobile?

We found Dots Mobile through an online search. If you are reading this, you have likely familiar with the process of hiring programmer, and thus are familiar with the challenges of finding talented, reliable people. The traditional difficulty of this situation adds to why we are/were so happy to finally come across the team at Dots Mobile. Great culture fit, top level talent, and they went above and beyond to rush the project launch — helping us reach a key deadline early on.

Dots Mobile has successfully developed our mobile app. The team has delivered work on time, with high code quality and innovative solutions. 

How did Dots Mobile perform from a project management standpoint?

Awesome. They work fast, delivered on time. And communication has been awesome. Whatever the medium (virtual meetings, email, and messaging apps) — their communication is exceptional. They are seemingly always working.

What did you find most impressive or unique about them?

I am not sure where to begin. The project we have been working on has been such a monumental challenge, with so much hard work and creativity required. And they have been amazing partners. Talented to boot, willing to go above and beyond the work requirements, and taking a genuine interest in the work. The written deliverables were executed to perfection, in addition to innovative solutions to difficult problems (in and out of their direct purview). In many cases pre-empting issues before they even have a chance to fully develop. I cannot imagine our platform without them. They have become much more than contractors. They are partners and friends. And I look forward to a future of success with, and thanks to, the team at Dots Mobile.

Mobile app development from planning to testing, including app architecture, UI implementation, AI feature integration, image upload flow, style selection screens, personalized decor recommendation flow, and performance optimization. And also testing, bug fixing, and release preparation for both iOS and Android.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The project resulted in a functional MVP ready for early user testing and investor/client demos. Key success indicators included smooth AI image/style generation flow, improved user engagement through personalized decor suggestions, and a scalable mobile architecture prepared for future features such as saved styles, user profiles, and premium plans.

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

We were having regular weekly syncs. They have come up with the clear timeline, and so far we've met the deadline. We had some delays, but mostly because I was changing the scope of the project.

They are able to make small decisions on their own, and decisions are good and not blocking development
