BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m an Amazon seller and owner of Pathways Marketplace. Our trade name is Mountain Air, and we sell mostly on Amazon, eBay, Walmart, Etsy, and we do social media advertising.

What challenge were you trying to address with DoTax.com?

We needed someone to provide us bookkeeping and accounting services.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

DoTax.com handles all my accounting and bookkeeping needs. They have access to all of my platforms and they take care of my tax issues, tax sales reporting, and the various licensing with the various states that Amazon ships to. Other than that, they’ve also helped me with PPC and disaster SBA loans.

What is the team composition?

I work with the owner and two bookkeepers.

How did you come to work with DoTax.com?

They were referred by a company that I had known for 15 years.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve probably spent somewhere in the neighborhood of $25,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The ongoing partnership started in February 2014.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They’re very efficient because when I started with them, they were more expensive than the services I had. I was a little reluctant about the hourly charge, but they assured me that they were more efficient and that I would actually be spending less money compared to how much I was spending in the past — which turned out to be true.

How did DoTax.com perform from a project management standpoint?

I interact with them once a month and I would personally take files to them and have a list of questions to ask them. We also communicate via email and whenever I have any concerns, I can call them up and discuss them further.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’m very impressed with their tax preparation.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t think of anything they could improve on. I do a lot of research before talking with anybody, and I know what my needs are. The key to my success has always been my ability to find the right people I know I can rely on. I know what the team is doing, and all I need to do is steer the ship.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

My advice is to just be straightforward with the outcome you’re looking for.
