The resultant product was called Healthinary, which functions as a hospital management app. Its features are centered on patient management as a whole. For example, it helps keep track of patient status through accurate and responsive readings.
Attending healthcare providers would immediately be informed if a patient needs attendance (if, for example, his temperature exceeds 100 degrees) through colour codes. It also keeps track of our inventory of prescription by providing real-time updates not only in dosage but the course’s duration as well.
We were given complete control over user access of patient records, and DCI ensured the best kind of security by deploying the Laravel framework.

I’m the CEO and co-founder of Bay Area Technology Solutions, a technology solutions provider.

What challenge were you trying to address with Dot Com Infoway?
We needed help with digital marketing.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
We engaged them for digital marketing for our products. They do campaign targeting using social media and content marketing tactics. They do SEO, paid advertising, and Google Ads as well.
What is the team composition?
There are 4–5 people. Our main point of contact is the project lead.
How did you come to work with Dot Com Infoway?
We chose them because of their past work and their competitive prices.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent about $2,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in August 2020, and the work is ongoing. We’re almost done with the project.

They provide a weekly report and day-to-day updates on what they’re doing.
How did Dot Com Infoway perform from a project management standpoint?
Project management is good. They use Basecamp, and that’s where we mostly communicate.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They’re accessible and reachable. They’re easy to work with.
Are there any areas they could improve?
There were some changes in the plan initially. They should make sure the overall processes are well planned out ahead of time. In other words, put in more work initially, so they don’t have to spend extra time sorting things out later.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I don’t have any advice at the moment.

I’m the president of the nonprofit Associates of St. John Bosco.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Dot Com Infoway?
We were trying to develop an app that would provide networking materials for college students to connect with campus ministries.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
The designed and developed the app from start to finish, and the solution is now available in both iOS and Android.
They implemented a mapping feature that maps the user directly to the campus ministry building on campus, which are sometimes hard to locate otherwise. Users can also “save” and interact with various campus ministries directly from the app.
The app has been launched, it’s gone through beta testing, and it’s in the 90-day window where you’re still working out kinks.
What is the team composition?
I only interacted with two people primarily from their organization. In the beginning, we worked with a sales team. Then, we had one main contact for the process of the app build.
How did you come to work with Dot Com Infoway?
I asked one of our department heads to find three bids, and Dot Com Infoway was one of the top two companies. We negotiated back and forth until they came out as the best option. We decided to go with them because they were able to create the app from start-to-finish.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve invested about $15,000 with them so far.
What is the status of this engagement?
Our original contact with them was somewhere around April of 2019, and we’re still working with them.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Overall, we’ve been satisfied. They deliver good quality work. There have been some kinks, and it’s taken longer than they originally said. The original estimate was three months, and it’s dragged on for at least a year. However, there were delays from our end at times.
How did Dot Com Infoway perform from a project management standpoint?
In general, they performed well. They were very receptive to feedback. Whenever we wrote feedback, we’d get a very good response in 3-4 days, and they’d be open to making the changes that we asked. Their process was fairly clear, and they were adaptive as well.
There were a couple of times when there would be some fairly major kinks with the design they were working on (e.g. there would be a problem with logging into something they sent us.) I’m not sure they "checked all their Ts and dotted their Is" before sending the project off to the client to take a look. But, they always fixed these issues.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They understood what we wanted, and the deliverable is almost identical to what I had envisioned. I’m happy that the product I envisioned is now a reality, and they were able to make that happen.
Are there any areas they could improve?
If they’re working with clients from other time zones, they need to be available when their clients are working. They also need to make sure they have an effective means of communication.
For instance, we’d work primarily off of Basecamp. But, if we needed to schedule a phone call, it would be between 1:30 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. our time, which is difficult for a nonprofit to accommodate. They would want it on either Skype of WhatsApp, and those calls would often drop. One time, the call dropped 6-7 times on Skype within one hour.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
When you go into a project, you’ll want three things: good quality, good cost, and a good timeline. Usually, you only get two of these things. With this company, you’re going to get good quality and good cost, but not within a good time. For me, it was worth it. I’m very happy with our app, it just took longer.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Our google ranking improved by 40% in the first 2 months and progressed further every month. Our sales conversions were increasing steadily at 6% a month which was above our target set initially.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Even though there was time difference, the team delivered a fantastic output and having multi-platform communication tools, it really helped us to be in touch with them whenever we wanted and got the job done well ahead of time.

Are there any areas for improvement?
The team is always thriving to get assistance from consultants in another field of expertise to provide a better experience for customers like us. I appreciate the ongoing support.
