The team began by reviewing our current authentication setup and data audits to ensure quality and consistency. They analyzed sales, subscription, and activation funnels to identify key entry points and visualize user journeys. Dot Analytics segmented users by some criteria and metrics, calculated retention and churn rates, and identified growth opportunities. They also conducted a detailed study of monetization, defining features for monthly and annual subscriptions, and suggested coins. The team created a dashboard for sales funnels and user behavior, and included basic recommendations for analytics products. The collaboration used Amplitude and Google Sheets.

Currently we have been working with Dot Analytics since July 2023 and they did a lot of tasks for us. To make things simple I can divide tasks into 2 parts: Mixpanel configuration and Looker dashboards. During this time they solved issues with MIxpanel’s API-method /identificate . Previously we double counted users since one user had a Mixpanel’s user_id and Pibox’s user_id. Guys showed how to put user data correctly into Mixpanel parameters.

Also, they helped us to correctly track the Gross Revenue in Mixpanel and build DAU, MAU, WAU, Marketing Funnel, Registration dashboards according to our requirements. The next step was to show data about user subscriptions, trials, features usage and essential collaboration metrics, since Pibox is all about collaboration. This data was in our product MySQL database. So to make connections secure we give them access to our data by making the VPN connections to our servers.

After that Dot Analytics created one big dashboard with five tabs which aggregated data from MySQL and blended it with GA4 data. Additionally Dot Analytics provides us with a lot of analytical insides about our product.

Mixpanel analytic events have been configured by Dot Analytics and the company built the dashboard in Looker Studio that provides necessary information about users. They give attention to data security and data access.

Everything was on time, good-organised. We used Telegram as a communication channel, all technical documentation was saved on our Google Drive. The guys are flexible and we could have a meeting with them in Google Hangouts at any time.

At the outset, it was clear that the team faced a series of challenges regarding data analytics and data visualizations: Elevators send signals in a format that is hard to analyze. Each elevator generates a massive amount of data but the calculations of statistics should be fast to keep the good user experience.

DataDuck was looking for a data visualization service provider with a strong track record in data visualization, utilizing tools such as SQL, Python, Plotly Dash. Comprehensive English language proficiency and excellent communication skills were essential pre-requisites.

The project may be divided into three phases: design of the proof of concept, development of the proof of concept web application, adaptations of the POC web application to the production environment. The first phase ran over four weeks and the second phase ran over two month. The conclusions of the first two phases were successful and gave the basis for the third phase. The main goal of the third phase was to prepare the platform architecture for moving to Google or AWS cloud.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

The team consists of four persons: Analytics Team Lead, Data Visualization Expert and Data Engineer, Graphic Designer. The communication was made by email and Whatsapp. From the DataDuck side we worked with the Senior Data Engineer.

We had a problem with tracking custom event parameters in Google Analytics. Google Analytics didn’t display custom event parameters. After some research Dot Analytics identified the cause of the tracking problem. Because of the small number of events, it was impossible to see them in Google Analytics.

Dot Services suggested the following solution: they transferred data from Google Analytics to BigQuery. Such action allowed getting all event parameters using SQL. After that, Dot Analytics built a dashboard in Data Studio with all information about custom event parameters.

In 2019 we purchased and implemented the financial product Finbase System. This product has already had automatic financial dashboards. During its exploitation, we noticed that the default dashboards don't answer all financial and project managers' questions. Therefore we decided to find a team that will develop new project and financial dashboards based on the Finbase System's data.

What were your goals for this project?

We anticipate the incorporation of the dashboards into our weekly meetings. So that every project manager has data instrument to monitor and to increase the team performance. Also, we wanted to have a tool that visualizes team members' workload for a period greater than one month. Last but not least, we wanted to gather all our KPIs at one dashboard.

How did you select Arcane Future?

Based on satisfying feedback from other projects, we knew that experts from Arcane Future could find a solution to our problem. Therefore we invited them and conducted three interviews at which we agreed about project deliverables, estimates, and deadlines.

The scope of the project can be divided into three parts. The first part was to research the current data storage and define its use cases. The second part was to change the data architecture so that the legacy functionality remains available. The third part was to create the dashboards and present them to the Fulcrum Rocks team.

In this project, I coordinated the work between our and Arcane Future's teams. Therefore I gave them information and task requirements and controlled the results. Arcane Future's team created the operational plan and divided it into small iterations. The length of each iteration was one week. After each iteration, we scheduled a retrospective session on which we discussed done changes and future tasks.

The team consists of the data architect and dashboard developer.

We discovered the information and the format we want to have on the dashboards within a few iterations. This data helps our managers to conduct meetings and focus more on weak points of the working process. Compared to our expectations, Arcane Future's team outperformed our expectations since they not merely execute tasks based on requirements but take an active part in negotiating the right solution.

The vendor's team manages their workflow intrinsically by using the Notion app. We maintain communication via Telegram. Ihor - he is the Arcane Future team representative, was responsible for scheduling a weekly meeting at a convenient time for us. Also, he translated everything spoken on the meetings into the tasks for Arcane Future's team.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

We have a complex system with a lot of hidden intrinsic dependencies that should be saved. They perfectly understood our case and were able to suggest improvements not only on the level of the task - but on the level of the whole project architecture.

I was looking for someone to help me with math modeling and machine learning for my gaming application.

I wanted to create a game with a custom control mod, utilizing the device’s the front camera and either the hand or something in hand to control the game.

The project involved doing research on how to use computer vision libraries to determine what needs to happen in front of the device through the front camera. They built a motion tracking model based on neural network. They created an MVP, and we are now working on the real application for iOS and Android.

So far, all of their work has been a success. The math model works with the computer vision feature, which was our first success point and following that, the MVP works well on any type of browser. We’re now waiting for the final application for iOS and Android.
