The aim of the project was to do a complete website redesign and build for Tuned Social to establish a site that was easy to navigate, and represented Tuned Social well. This involved the following deliverables

New company website to be built in Webflow including migration of existing content and a design refresh. Also support with UX/I work as needed.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

New website online within budget and with a significant improvement in performance, both technical and from conversion. Improved design as well as the ability for the team to edit content much more easily than our previous system.

Their project management and organisation was absolutely outstanding! The created weekly reports which summarised progress in a great way and were transparent and communicative throughout. Despite many ad hoc changes and significant delays from our side, they adapted and kept the project going with great aplomb. Their flexibility and adaptability in the face of constantly changing goalposts was a key component of the success of the project.

Established in 1993 in Murska Sobota Slovenia, Codex is a trusted bearing and power transmission supplier for distributors and OEM customers all over the world. Starting in July 2020, I work there as Head of Marketing, leading all marketing-related projects.

For what projects/services did your company hire Diligent studios?

Our company website was more than 15 years old and has not been updated since. Therefore, we faced several problems - the outdated design and a user experience that desperately needed a refresh, the lack of the right content, SEO optimisation. 

But most importantly the inability to serve the needs of digital campaigns for which the company needed to urgently establish a new strategy and structure in order to stay competitive in the new digital environment. Therefore, we decided to outsource the project with the team that could help us on all those levels.

What were your goals for this project?

The core goals for the website were:

• creating a modern look that reflected the trust & competence of the company
• creating the user experience that will help us gain potential as well as maintain communication and quickly provide information with OEM and distribution customers
• creating the structure to generate new leads by collecting email addresses through different forms

SOLUTION

How did you select Diligent studios?

The team of Sales and IT Leads that I joined in July already collected offers from local as well as a few international companies and accordingly, selected Diligent Studios based on its quality pitch, responsiveness, and price.

Describe the project in detail.

Once the vendor was selected we had an additional meeting to provide a feedback on the pitch. After that Andrea and Niko that worked on the project on the vendor`s side prepared another, more detailed design, content and structure from where we were able to build upon.

We had additional two meetings where they came back to us with updates on subpages, forms, buttons etc. We confirmed the final design in October but would defenitely do that sooner if we hadn`t faced some delays with new photo material from another vendor that we had to completely refresh as well. We launched the website on 24 October 2020.

What was the team composition?

Niko as backend and frontend developer and Andrea as project manager were the ones responsible for everything. They were both present at all the meetings but I mostly interacted with Andrea on project planning, timeframe, and all the other help that we needed on the project, especially when we couldn`t meet in person anymore because of the Covid-19 situation.

The meetings and talks, therefore, moved to Teams but that did not interfere with the project, Niko and Andrea proved once again that they were the perfect partners for the task.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The project was a great success. Our most important goal in terms of website traffic was to decrease the bounce rate and to increase the retention rate. The first one dropped for 78%, while the second one increased for more than 200%.

Our previous website did not have contact forms so we don`t have any data on that But we are regularly receiving new subscribers to our website as well as other inquiries. One of the most important things that makes this project successful is also customer feedback which is very positive.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Andrea is a person you can easily find a common language to make the project smooth sailing. We quickly conneected and when the project needed to be done through video conferences, phone calls and chat in Teams that did not change anything regarding the workflow.

The vendor was always on time and offered professional support throughout the project.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Since we lacked knowledge on SEO optimisation and user experience, their team provided that for us which we really appreaciate it since it helped us understand all the aespect and the importance of all those components that we then together implemented in the project.

But their knowledge didn`t end there - we were really happy that they had experience in running digital campaigns and understanding all the aspects of digital marketing that impacted the structure in important elements of the website.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Our team was very pleased with their expertise, way of work, quality, and speed. But what I personnaly admired the most is a very good realtionship that we established during the project. They are now our go-to guys that we can trust completely. We are looking forward to do our next project together.

In 2 days, I received the logo I wanted. It was perfect. It fits my style exactly and was done quickly and competently.
