I have hired and managed internal development teams in the past and have also worked with external development partners. Their quality of work and responsiveness were comparable and sometimes exceeded the work of internal teams. Best experience I have had with external development resources in my 30 years of web development experience.
Are there any areas for improvement or something Digital Butlers could have done differently?
Maybe a bit more visibility and reassurance early on with potential clients concerned about working with a firm outside of the country. Also, a bit more info/expectation setting of the possibility of being charged more than the quoted price.
My project was only 10% higher, which was acceptable considering it was non-client work. If it's work done for a client, I will need to clarify final billing expectations before work commences, as client work can be tricky if they are billed more than quoted without expectations set up front.

We had a customer who asked us to build an e-commerce platform to provide artists with an opportunity to sell creative clothes. There are a lot of different functions, like a personal account, ad posting manager, cart, checkout, payment system with a special fee structure, etc. We already had an approved design so we provided Figma files to the DB team and they worked on the rest of the stuff.
