The local media companies can export the list into the newspaper or magazine automatically. The events have the option for in site streaming options. There is also an E-commerce feature that is directly linked to WordPress sites. It is truly an interactive local event calendar

The outcomes is considerably more value to local news organizations. The platform will make more and more money as it is rolled out to other cities.

They developed our website.

What was the scope of their involvement?

In the beginning, we provided a few of our fundamental ideas, but they essentially worked from scratch, developing a custom WordPress theme. After developing and designing the site, they’ve stayed on to provide ongoing maintenance.

One of the core features of the site is its content management system. There’s a seamless process to putting up and managing blogs. Devurai. also put together custom animation on our home page, as well as special landing pages and case study pages. As part of the development, they also optimized our page loading speeds.

They also enabled us to implement our needs in terms of SEO. most companies use a different process than we do, but they empower the custom preferences and plugins we needed.

We’ve worked with around six people from their team, including their CEO and multiple project managers and operational staff members.

How did you come to work with Devurai.?

They were highly professional and had developed a large number of websites. Their solutions also performed well in terms of SEO and had effective design architectures.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

It’s difficult to find metrics, but we had a roadmap for three months, and they delivered the website exactly on that schedule. In terms of SEO metrics, we have a performance score of 99 out of 100, meaning the website works very well. Also, according to Google’s speed measuring tool, we score an 87 out of 100. There were some minor things to fix after the first iteration but I haven’t encountered any major issues with the site so far.

How did Devurai. perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management skills were an incredibly strong portion of their work. They had great control of the timing of their tasks, and they communicated smoothly. Project management takes place over Clickup, and they use Telegram and Messenger as well.

In terms of the design work, Figma and Miro were our main tools. They also may use the Atlassian suite as well.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re a relatively small team, but they are very attentive to detail; they’re committed 120% to our project. If I have even a small problem or issue, they resolve it immediately. Devurai. is very attentive to our hidden needs.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They should scale their business more because they could be a very successful global player with their current approach and values. There’s nothing to add about their work, as they performed everything at the highest level.

Clearly describe what you want and be clear with what steps they’ll need to take to there. If you do that, then everything will be more than fine.

What challenge were you trying to address with Devurai.?

I was trying to increase our sales within the distributed networks, which consisted of local brands in the Ukrainian, Georgian, and Moldovan markets. Our client’s didn’t sell online, so I needed to develop a platform that was good looking to allow them to sell products online. Devurai. developed this solution for us.

We invented the platform from scratch. The technology was chosen through collaboration, with us discussing the pros and cons. Their technician was on-site helping us. We even tried to develop the learning course that we were doing to distribute to our customers to help them use the platform.

We worked with Mykyta (Founder), a project manager, and a designer from their side. I didn’t speak with the developers personally, but I know that they were present on phone calls with my team.

We were introduced to them through a personal connection. I’d met Mykyta in an educational environment and knew what kind of business he was running.

The cost was around $50,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from May 2020–March 2021.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

They worked from scratch, so we went from nothing to 100% complete. We didn’t have any metrics other than succeeding in launching the platform. Post-launch, users began working with us to use the platform to grow their business and work online. There were some external factors that stopped our customers from finding profits online — the costs of raw materials, for one — and drove some loss instead. The system has worked well for them, however.

How did Devurai. perform from a project management standpoint?

They had great communication and estimated delivery time perfectly. Additionally, they found more cost-effective ways to solve our issues. They were always focused on our well-being and helping us earn more money. I really appreciated this attitude focused on over-delivery.

They worked directly with our project managers, so I’m not sure if they used any specific tools to collaborate. Phone and email supported our communication, as well as Messenger for urgent chats. Over time, as we started to gain users on the platform, we mostly had phone calls with Devurai.. They were very responsive and accessible.

What did you find most impressive about them?

What made them special was their communication, as well as their ability to understand the commercial side of software development. They dove into our commercial strategy in addition to our technical strategy. I could talk to them about any aspect of the project.

Are there any areas they could improve?

If there was something, it would be for them to bring us more ideas for working together after the partnership ended, in terms of maintenance and technical assistance. I don’t have any regret about the partnership, however.

Be ready to make quick decisions and communicate what is best for you. Know the details of your processes and the details that you want your software to address. This will really help them over-deliver.

I’m the CEO of a technology solution company. We primarily focus on SaaS platforms in the education and healthcare spaces. Our company also works with large corporations, such as banks and other financial institutions, to help them upgrade their tech in regard to payments.

We used their services for several custom software development projects. They worked on our education platform, and we also outsourced them for some of our clients’ work.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Devurai used a wide range of technology that depended on the individual project. This includes a PHP-stack project where we used Lumen, a sub-framework from Laravel PHP, and Angular for the frontend. A different project was built using the MySQL database and Google Cloud. We have projects that were written in Node.js with React for the frontend. Overall, we used a variety of technologies and worked on a variety of different products.

Apart from their outsourced work, Devurai also completed some internal projects. Our in-house product team discovered and worked on the concept of the education platform. In some cases, they worked with the Devurai designers to execute mockups before we went to development. The technical lead outlined milestones and phases for development sprints as well as handled QA and front- and backend.

Depending on the project, we worked with between 15–30 people.

Mykyta (Founder) was our project manager at a different company. When he decided to create his own company, we continued to work with him. We had already worked together for a long time so I was very comfortable with him and his capabilities.

The engagement lasted from February 2018–August 2019.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Devurai helped us complete our education platform, and they’ve helped a lot of our clients. We have a certain client who’s a major service provider for financial solutions; Devurai built out a platform which they currently utilize. The overall results of the engagement were several completed projects.

How did Devurai perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicated daily through a combination of tools. Mostly, we used our internal custom project management tool, but we also used Jira, Slack, and WhatsApp. Their team communicated effectively, but when it came to meeting deadlines — as much as you can in this field — I was unsatisfied.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Mykyta himself was the most impressive aspect. He has a very strong ability to communicate, which is crucial in development. Where there could be language barriers due to remote work, he is able to communicate an idea, confirm it, and then successfully execute it.

Mykyta is a great communicator. He understood what we needed, and we could always hold proper conversations about things. All in all, he’s a smart fellow and he contributed to the thought process and technology of the products.

Sergei (CTO) is also a very capable guy. His direction was very strong and it contributed a lot to the projects. He’s very familiar with a variety of stacks and possesses a very high-level of competency for each.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There are always areas for improvement. I wouldn’t say there are any major flaws in any specific process besides the regular day-to-day things. Every business could improve on every process.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be absolutely clear on what your end goal is. Make sure to understand the requirements of the project from a product and technical perspective. Ultimately, any of our challenges with Devurai were related to a product person not having a clear vision. This happens when you’re not closely involved in the outsourcing process.

When we hand off a project, we ensure there are complete wireframes and mockups along with full specifications and drawn databases. We also make sure to include any workflows or backend logics and do all of this before sending the project off to development.

A company should utilize their planning resources before committing and engaging to a timeline or price. Make sure to be clear on expectations — on both sides. The more clarity there is, the bigger chance of success there will be.
