DevIQ implemented a Databricks-centered integration hub using SQL/Python notebooks, Delta Lake, LakeFlow Connect, and Foreign Catalog federation. We built complex transformation pipelines, quarantine/error handling logic, Azure Service Bus–triggered .NET upsert services, and a full CICD pipeline using Databricks Asset Bundles and Azure DevOps. The scope included design, development, orchestration, testing, production deployment, and early stabilization.

The site is publically accessible so has to be secure and protect our customer PII as well.

We engaged DevIQ resources to team with our own resources and client resources to develop a modern web application for HannaAndersson.com, taking the site "headless" using a React/Next.js framework. DevIQ resources on this project were primarily focused on all aspects of quality assurance, web application testing, browser compatibility testing and ADA compliance testing. On similar projects we have engaged DevIQ web development resources for development of modern web applications.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The key metrics was site conversion, though site speed was an important contributing metric to improving conversion. A/B testing was conducted to confirm that the headless web application materially improved site conversion through a simplified and performant checkout flow. The success of the checkout deployment led to multiple extensions to continue site modernization efforts.

DevIQ's resources worked in a combined sprint team setting delivering sprints on two-week time frames. They were very fluent in Scrum and delivered their work items on time within the flow of the sprints. They also demoed their work to client stakeholders after each sprint, and were very responsive to the needs of the team and the stakeholders. We worked with DevIQ across multiple clients and engagements, and the quality and responsiveness were excellent.

DevIQs QA resources immediately and seamlessly melded into the team setting and communication was excellent from the start, despite the fact the resources on this engagement are near-shore and speak English as a second language. We've partnered with DevIQ on a range of strategic initiatives to strengthen and scale our platform. As part of this collaboration, they conducted a Well-Architected Review (WAR) and addressed several high-risk issues, resulting in improved cost efficiency, security, and system reliability across our product suite.

To meet the evolving needs of our users, DevIQ also led the rollout of Spanish as our first supported language—an important milestone in our broader internationalization efforts for both mobile and web applications.

In addition to infrastructure improvements and localization, DevIQ has supported new feature development, most notably the launch of our Insights Dashboard. This tool allows users to track and compare key metrics across animal groups over time and export the data for deeper analysis. It was built with a React frontend and a Rails API backend.

DevIQ continues to work closely with our internal team on critical initiatives such as upgrading our Rails stack and migrating our infrastructure to Docker within our AWS environment.

We successfully implemented a modern data stack that is used to support every department in our business.  We eliminated multiple legacy hardware and software products and substantially improved performance.

DevIQ assigned a project manager and a lead data architect to our project.  We had weekly project cadence meetings where we discussed the pace and schedule of deliverables.  When we needed additional support, they were flexible and always provided availabilty in a timely manner.  

Our project was on a very compressed timeline (less than 12 months to completely rebuild our entire data platform and all associated reports) and DevIQ helped us deliver ahead of schedule.

What was the scope of their involvement?

DevIQ supported us in modernizing multiple critical business applications by transitioning from outdated platforms to a secure, scalable Microsoft-based architecture. Their work included requirements gathering, solution design, and full construction phases — delivering responsive web applications, secure authentication, integrated reporting, and automated DevOps pipelines. DevIQ successfully delivered modernization projects under budget and within aggressive timelines while exceeding scope expectations. Key results included retiring legacy platforms, implementing secure Microsoft-based architecture, improving accessibility and user experience, and establishing reusable DevOps patterns. Customer satisfaction reached 100%, reflecting trust and confidence in the delivered solutions. Our business customers reported 100% satisfaction for the re-platformed application, citing improved usability and accessibility. System reliability improved by eliminating unsupported platforms and implementing a secure Microsoft Azure architecture with Entra authentication. Speed and efficiency gains were achieved through CI/CD automation, which reduced release cycle time and improved deployment reliability.
