Our startup needed a solid development team to build out our SaaS product. We needed a complex SaaS built, maintained, and constantly improved. This product had a specific budget that we needed to stay within. This SaaS product would be a B2B E-Commerce platform.

Our leaders visited Develendoo directly and met the leaders involved and described the project in-depth. We then worked remotely with one another utilizing Agile/Scrum principles with quarterly goals built around our priority lists.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We measured the team's commitment and velocity and the team hit every deadline and commitment made. They also regularly exceeded our expectations and their own commitment.

They always had an upbeat attitude while meeting with us. They gave regular updates and progress reports daily. The team was extremely knowledgeable on all subjects related to software development and AWS.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They were absolutely wonderful to work with. They had outstanding attitudes and passion for what they were working on. They were "All In" on the project. On top of that, their knowledge was exceptional. We asked them to build something "green field" and they were able to do so without hesitation. Another note: They also were capable of interjecting and stopping a direction that was fruitless. Many development groups struggle with confrontation, but not Develendoo.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

No, I don't think so. This was one of the best companies I've had the pleasure of working with.

I am the CEO of RUMI Medtech Limited. We are a medical tech company specialising in developing automated solutions for clinical pathways in hospitals by remote monitoring of patients.

For what projects/services did your company hire Develandoo, and what were your goals?

We used Develandoo to develop our flagship product: REMCARE. Remcare is a platform comprising of a cloud based clinician interface and a progressive web application for patients. It helps in gathering key health status data and monitor patient remotely. It is designed as a horizontal product which will be applicable across the whole of the patient pathway and for any clinical speciality. We wanted Develandoo to develop a product which has a template that can be used for individual specialities that can be customised for their specific needs.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I came across Develandoo after a recommendation from a friend. I felt Develandoo were very proactive and had an excellent work ethic and right from the word go they were very helpful and got on with the job that was in front of them.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

We set out the key features and functionalities in the product and set out a sprints to deliver them. React Native technology was used. Regular meetings were held at the end of each sprint detailing the results at the end of each sprint. Furthermore as the product has started being used in our pilot study a need was identified to tweak and improve a lot of features and this was also done by the Develandoo team very swiftly and efficiently.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We had developed a good solution with the help of Develandoo. However when we went live with REMCARE is pilot study in a large University teaching hospital in the UK, we noticed that several features needed some tweaks and adjustments based on user feedback. Don't get me wrong the product was felt to be very user-friendly by clinicians and patients alike. Develandoo took the user feedback and quickly worked on it to improve the features and add some additional features to make it, even more, user-friendly for the staff and patients.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

Davit was our main point of contact. We found Davit was always approachable, and no problem was too big for him to solve. I think he has a fantastic team who are very prompt in attending to any issues and dealt with it efficiently. I think they are a clever bunch of people who have a very professional work ethic and delivering the project and developing the product to a very high standard remains their priority throughout this ongoing project.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Excellent response and an open communication style is I think key to why we really like this company. Talking to Davit it is clear that they have a horizontal structure in their company that values everyone in their company no matter what job they take. This clearly shows in the good work ethic that is evident throughout the whole company. It continues to be my pleasure in working with them and I have no doubt they are very committed to delivering a very high-quality project as they take pride in their work.

What challenge were you trying to address with Develandoo?

We were looking for top-notch experts in big data for autonomous driving.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We created a work package for some autonomous driving development — Level 4 and Level 5 — for a premium car original equipment manufacturer for whom we are a strategic partner. We were required to have experts in big data. We had to go through a series of interviews and technical discussions to make sure that we are getting the right people. 

The Develandoo team was very responsive in providing the right expertise and clarifying many things on our side — what kind of requirements we needed to execute on the work packages we had, for example. They used Gira technologies, Scala, and C++.

What is the team composition?

We had about 3–5 people from their team, including some senior experts on big data as well as a data scientist. We also worked with a few developers from their team, and most of them were senior experts.

How did you come to work with Develandoo?

I knew them from my previous organization. We had almost eight suppliers working on this project, and Develandoo was one of the suppliers we used.

What is the status of this engagement?

I think it was around January 2019 or December 2018, and the work is ongoing. We recently closed the work packages and plan to start something else soon with them.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We needed to finish up a lot of items on time, and the work had to be developed in two months. Develandoo has been meeting timelines, and the quality of work has been good. They have been able to grasp things very fast. There were no schedule slippages or items that fell through the cracks, and we haven’t had any complaints from the project management team. It’s been a pretty good experience.

How did Develandoo perform from a project management standpoint?

The project had to follow a stipulated process that was customer-driven, and they had to stick to that. They’ve been able to adapt well and be responsive.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Develandoo is very interested in solving problems.

Are there any areas they could improve?

From a startup point of view, they are okay and pretty aggressive. Having more German-speaking guys can help them to increase their business in Germany.

They are flexible and reliable, and they ensure that they deliver the promised expertise on time. They have good experts on their team. If you provide them with the right information and your requirements, they will be able to source the right expertise for a particular work package.

FeDeZe is an internet platform allowing high school and university students form their academic reputation offering and accepting financial renumeration.

Develandoo designed, created and launched FeDeZe platform. Our business is platform-oriented and Develandoo allowed us to start.

What were your goals for this project?

The aims were to create user-friendly interface offering intuitive logic of financial renumeration in exchange for reviews under users‘ articles. Simplistic and succinct dashboard and distinct sections were our aims.

We wanted to achieve fully working money flow with cooperation with Stripe and user email support with SandGrid. All of the aims were met.

The project being the heir of FeDeZe business was to create a platform that will allow scholars for congeneric building of their academic reputation within financial renumeration. This was all taken care of by Develandoo. Their services included designing, creating and launching the platform during which I was given many valuable suggestions, which shed more light on my idea.

The project had mainly 2 to 3 people working on it but some were also engaged depending on the period whilst other skills were needed.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

The platform is the must-have in this business and has initiated it whilst ready.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Project management was exquisite. The communication was of high efficiency having used diversified mediums: Email, WhatsApp, Zoom. The deadlines were always complied and the milestones’ structure gave me visible takeaways of the process of creating FeDeZe.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Develandoo is creative, agile, and adroit. Their strategies, culture, and techniques made my ideas become reality. They leave no stone unturned in regard to any new ideas and changes to be implemented ,envisioning all the consequences and giving often feedback. Thanks to Develandoo I can continue working on my vision with bigger momentum.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Hardly anything to improve. The only thing I would pick out from our cooperation is to maybe improve time-based performance. In the process of creating the website we were occasionally not shown what was to be already done in this time, but once more it happened hardly ever and was always foregrounded by great commitment to the project.

They provided great solutions at fantastic prices. Their code is clear and they met all our goals. We had a perfect collaboration.

Their project management style is good. They're organized and always answer our questions quickly. Because they have different solutions and they sell these worldwide, they usually have what we need already. If they don't, they work very fast.

We like working with them because they’re very professional and always make sure we meet our deadlines. They have interesting solutions.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We’ve had no problems with them, although their prices could be lower. As a startup, we had to pay a lot because they’re professionals and we needed quick deliverables.

Be clear on what you want to get from them. Clearly describe what you need and everything will be okay.

What challenge were you trying to address with Develandoo?

We were looking for an AI solution that could detect weapons, guns, and aggression. Our team also wanted to have facial and license plate recognition. This is the sweet spot of our focus on intelligence solutions. They were able to do it all.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They developed the app for us. We secure pipelines and remote assets, adding intelligence to our solution that allows it to tell the differences between humans, cars, and dogs, for example. Our team offers other products for public schools that help to identify guns and weapons. The app is a browser-based dashboard that we interface with to identify alerts generated through the AI that’s monitoring the video. They also created an iOS and Android app that can monitor it as well.

At any given time, I’ve worked with about a dozen people. 

How did you come to work with Develandoo?

I searched them out while looking for an AI that can handle the work I wanted. It was hard to locate them, but I found them through some deep searches. I enjoyed our conversations, so I hired them.

We started working together in June 2019, and the collaboration is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The alerts that are supposed to be detecting weapons have an excess of 90% accuracy rate. So, we get very few false detections. That’s nice because people will start to ignore detections if they’re likely to be false.  

How did Develandoo perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve been extremely easy to work with. I haven’t had any issues. We communicate using WhatsApp and email. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

The AI they’ve provided is very powerful and functions as intended. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

They’ve done everything I’ve asked so far. I can’t think of anything because they address all the issues I bring to them.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We had a considerable improvement in the speed of all processes in relation to trading and risk management, which increased our profitability and freed a lot of time from employees who focused more on product development.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

With a dedicated project manager and an open format of communication we were able to get rapid feedback during the development process. Develandoo's team were able to deliver on industry specific requests with great deal of professionalism as well as suggesting improvements on how to further enhance the value of their solution.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They quickly translated our industry specifics workflows and requirements into a functioning software solution. Based on their previous expertise in risk prediction in other industries they were quick to identify and implement core business requirements and provide their insights into future enhancement of the solution.

We feel that the open culture of communication, rapid feedback loops and professionalism of their team is on the level where you would find it difficult to identify any major points of improvement.

We needed to implement many new features on existing source code. Since we had too few internal resources, we asked Develandoo to help us meet our deadlines.

We wanted to develop features on our responsive web marketplace.

How did you select this vendor?

A friend recommended Develandoo. We had two other vendors on the shortlist, but based our decision on price, track record, and positive personal relationship.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

We provided designs, and acceptance criteria, along with access to all tools and servers. During a two-week look-up period, they asked questions about the current code. They develop and test back- and frontend features using HTML, PHP, and CSS. These feature requests are based on new listing types and aligned with our existing user flow.

What was the team composition?

The project team has five people: one technical project lead, one DevOps manager, two frontend developers, and one QA tester. At the end of the project, we reduced the team to one developer.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

We're launching this project for the first time, so some clients have already signed up. It's crucial to launch the portal on time and meet their expectations. If our product is successful, we'll continue working with Develandoo.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Their project management is good, and they respond outside business hours. We use Slack, Zoom, Jira, Figma, Zeplin, Google Docs, and GitHub, as well as a local staging and product environment. We have no language barriers; English works fine for everyone.

They're friendly and motivated to go the extra mile.
