The work was a 100% rebuild of the existing platform, which was not performing up to acceptible standards. This meant that aside from the data the entire platform, applications and infrastructure had to be replaced in as short a time period as possible. The core deliverables were that the platform was 100% Serverless no managed infrastrcture at all. The programming approach was to use a Micro-Service design pattern to enable the platform to be continuously updated and have new features and services added to it as simply as possible.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Patform transformed the business offering, the mobile apps were stable and the core platform was performant and secure. We set incredibly high standards, including AWS driven reviews and external penetration tests and DCh were able to deliver to those standards.

The project was principly run internally to WrkWrk, but DCH had additional tracking processes in place. Between the two it provided a robust project management structure, which enabled the project to identify challenges and respond accordingly. We followed a LEAN/Agile approach to project maanagement.

I’m the founder & CEO of Automotive Equity Management, Ltd. It’s a fintech startup that has been operating for about a year.

What challenge were you trying to address with Dev Centre House?
After an unsuccessful build, we needed to upgrade our technical approach and rebuild our benchmark publication and virtual Futures trading platforms.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
We asked Dev Centre to rebuild our HTML-based web platform, which consists of the usual advertising components and a benchmark publications platform similar to any other. It publishes the prices of specific assets in a way that’s consistent with European security market regulations.
They’ve also done Stripe integrations and helped with the trading engine portion of the platform. It’s a virtual order-taking/matching system that allows customers to buy and sell Futures contracts, as well as match with other buyers and sellers. It’s always virtual, so there is no backend accounting system. It has been designed to get us to our next funding round.
What is the team composition?
Twana (Head of Development) acts as the project CTO and coordinates the engineers. Julian (Senior Software Developer) and Zana (Software Development Manager) are the two lead engineers, while Robert (Software Engineer) works on design. There are a few others involved in the weekly calls, as well.
How did you come to work with Dev Centre House?
We searched online, including on Clutch. They met our criteria, so they popped up on our radar. They were also personally connected to my co-founder and partner, who recommended them.
We ultimately chose them for their location, cost-to-value ratio, and the fact that they understood what we were trying to create. Twana’s expertise and background were also a good fit for the project.

We have completed four sprints, and have another couple to go. Time and budget are two important areas to us, and they’re confident that they can stay within both. I had doubts about their ability to manage the complexity of the project, but they quickly grasped the key concepts. So far, they’ve also elegantly implemented the things we were looking for.
Furthermore, Dev Centre is always looking for alternative ideas to enrich value, and their style is complementary and grateful. They show interest in our business and underlying assets.
How did Dev Centre House perform from a project management standpoint?
They do an excellent job. They’ve easily integrated with my partner, who is a data supplier. They’re disciplined, keep meetings on track, and give detailed updates. We use ZenHub to steer the project and Slack to stay abreast of all developments. We have weekly calls.

We were lucky that they had they had just completed another project so they took on this project within the same week as enquiry. It was a very efficient process.

Once the project got started and the service agreement was completed. We had a team meeting with Dev centre house and they laid out the sprints and blueprint for how this project will be delivered. We emphasised that we needed the website up ASAP as the buzz we built on other platforms needed to be utilised. Then we went through a rough process for wireframes and functionalities of the APP and then the work began on the platforms simultaneously. Ultimately, the whole process was seamless and it felt like we were in good hands all along.
What was the team composition?
The team was composed of a full-stack developer and a hybrid app developer, a UI/UX designer, and a QA person. We didn't require all of the people all the time, so it is pretty nice that we can add and subtract resources whenever the need arises at a good rate.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
In our first month of operation from the web platform they developed and our sales pipeline, we generated a significant amount of revenue so we are very happy with that. The app development is still on-going but from their demos it looks very promising and we are confident in the team behind it.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Very seamless. It was as if they were our internal developers and took interest in our business model and wanted to understand our process so they can best develop our work in the way that would be most effective.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
We were very impressed by how fast everything happened. From our initial enquiry to development was literally a couple of days. I don't think. we could've executed that fast any other way. They really embody the "time is money" ethos and we felt like our project mattered, which is always important when dealing in a service industry.

Very simple and adaptive to what we were comfortable with. We spoke on the phone and e-mail because it suited us, and they adjusted to that. We spoke to our developer and he sent us what was needed via email.

I’m the head of R&D at Ei Electronics. We make fire, smoke, and carbon monoxide alarms and sell them all over the world.

What challenge were you trying to address with Dev Centre House?
We’re moving into the digital world. One aspect of this was creating a mobile app.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Dev Centre House helped build our mobile app for both Android and iOS. With the app, users can take some readings and communicate information from their alarm to their phone screen.
For example, if a customer has been away from their house for two weeks, they may not know there’s been a carbon monoxide leak. It’s important for them to know so, they can download information from their alarm onto their phone so they know what’s happening.
What is the team composition?
We worked with Twana (Head of Development) and another developer.
How did you come to work with Dev Centre House?
They found us through cold calling and hard work. I responded and invited their owner to have a coffee. Six months later, the need for the engagement arose so I decided to give them a try.
How much have you invested with them?
We invested around €25,000–€30,000 (approximately $30,000–$36,000 USD).
What is the status of this engagement?
The engagement was from September–November 2020. I’m using internal resources to finish the project, Dev Centre House handled specific parts of it.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’ll launch the app when we launch some new alarm products. We want to have the app development completed and ready to go in 2–3 months. Our team has been conducting an internal validation of the app and its quality is quite good. We’re very happy with Dev Centre House’s high-quality work.
How did Dev Centre House perform from a project management standpoint?
We used a model where their engineers worked as part of our team. There wasn’t much project management involved. They were self-motivated and worked independently. I got in direct contact every 1–2 weeks.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Twana was definitely a highlight of the engagement. He’s technically sound and very aware of the technologies and languages of the operating system.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, nothing comes to mind.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Pick the right commercial model and means of engagement that’s appropriate for your piece of work. They’ll work with you and adapt to what works best for you. Every piece of work is a little different, find what works for you.

Attention to detail was the main thing. We were impressed by how meticulously Dev Centre House approached the details that make sure that we were not only competitive in our space but also gave us an advantage in our field as much as possible.
