My website was becoming very tired, and not communicative. It needed new life and energy, with a view to drive more traffic, resulting with an increase in sales. I was very impressed with Dazze Studio suggestions, and felt they were speaking in my 'language'.

This vendor was recommended by an associate, who had been very impressed with their projects. I liked their ideas, the planning stages and costs seemed very fair.

We discussed the goals and objectives, and most importantly was the 'tone of voice'. Wireframes were designed, and layouts were presented. I wanted to continue with Shopify - content was updated, creating a landing page to capture new subscribers.

I only worked with the Director.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Already I've seen in my analytics, more traffic is coming to the site, but with my products, they are a luxury item, so customers need to invest time before making a purchase. We are about to launch a 'Newsletter' to existing database, and feel confident sales will transpire from this.

We communicate with Slack, and find this a great tool, as you can keep each segment separate, and easy to upload images and files. At times, I find it easier to have live calls to really get my point across and more importantly - have a brainstorming session.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I have been so impressed with how professional my website looks.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I am such a perfectionist, and layout, fonts and how areas on website look are so important to me. I wish this was an easier process. Feel it's quite time consuming going back and forth with images and text, although this is partly my downfall, as not up-to-date with creative software packages.

I saw Dazze on clutch and noticed his previous clients. I had used websites he had made before. Dazze wants to "break away from the eCommerce sameness" and that is what we wanted.

A newly branded website to answer to new business development goals. Development of a full e-commerce platform with very thorough product pages. Some of the details were: product pages with finish and size tabs dynamic changing of color and images all products catalogue uploaded at once

We were in contact with only one person - the project manager. We do not know the size of the team working in the background.

We have been overwhelmed with positive comments and feedback about our new website. This really makes us feel great about what we are doing going forward with our business.

We needed help developing a better coded, faster website and customized UI to accommodate our specific and unique workflow. We also needed rebranding.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Dazze Studio first analyzed our requirements. They came up with a brand new website from scratch using WordPress. We requested contact, appointment, and sign-up forms. We also requested an integration between the application used on the website and a third-party application. 

For example, LiveChat, which is a support application, and also MailChimp, an accounting system, and a payment system. It was a combination of my input and their design. They rebranded the look and feel of the website, but I gave them a guideline of what I was hoping to achieve.

They did the logo design and had a lengthy discovery call to really understand our unique business model and our customers, as well as our unique workflow and requirements. They also helped with integrating different third-party applications and streamlining our workflow and dataflow.

I found them through the WordPress showcase web page. I also googled e-commerce website developers, and what made Dazze Studio really stand out was their stunning website design.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They rebranded our website and it truly represents who we really are and our products. Dazze Studio came up with a stunning design and also the perfect backend solution that’s tailored to our unique workflow.

One of the most important metrics is when the website loads. It has significantly improved when I check the website using three main website speed testers. Our website looks absolutely stunning. It’s very easy to navigate and has good UX. 

We’ve already received more leads per day than we ever did before even during the pandemic and the second half of December 2020, which is normally very quiet for our business. The infrastructure, sitemap, and layout are very well-thought-out. They always picked the best possible solution to meet our very specific workflow.

How did Dazze Studio perform from a project management standpoint?

We mainly used Slack and Notion. Each step of the project was clear and the communication, very prompt.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The communication from their founder was impressive, as well as the knowledge they had. They’re the most professional team with in-depth technical knowledge and attention to detail. They exceeded my experience with any other teams I’ve worked with before. 

They really understood our brand and asked lots of great questions. The rebranding was spot on. We approved the first version of the branding package they proposed. The team was very thoughtful and always went the extra mile.

No, there’s nothing I can think of. Everything exceeded my expectations.

Be very clear with your expectations, and be as detailed as possible. Do the homework beforehand to gain some basic knowledge about e-commerce.

I would work with Dazze Studio again. In fact, I’m working with them on another project. I loved their style and efficiency.

Dazze Studio does the branding and web design for my company. They’ve guided me throughout the entire process, starting with key questions to get a sense of what my company was about.

The first main deliverable is a brand book that includes the full range of our branding. That includes the logo design, signature, color palette, and graphical look. They’ve prepared every aspect of our brand and how it should appear on different platforms, whether it be on our site or on social media.

We haven’t started on the website yet, but the planning for that has been really great so far.

My main point of contact is Jamie (Founder), who sorts out everything. For the brand work, I go with Nikka (Branding Specialist). Between them, they answer all of my questions.

I found Dazze Studio on Clutch while looking for a service provider that was reasonably priced but would still deliver quality service. Like with anything, it’s always a bit of a gamble when you go with a company for a project that you haven’t done before. 

But, straight away, Dazze Studio showed me that they knew exactly what I needed for my brand. I wouldn’t have known where to start without them. They helped with everything, and it all seemed to match up. That initial conversation led to me choosing them as the right fit.

We started working in July 2020, and the brand book portion was completed on time exactly as planned. Next week, we’ll start working on the website, so I’m sure they’ll live up to expectations.

Dazze Studio has completely alleviated me of the hassle of doing branding. With what they’ve created, I can use their assets going forward for anything I need. Nothing is live yet, but the people I’ve shared the designs with have responded positively.

I can’t fault them there. Anything they said they’d do, they’ve completed it as promised. The team is always at the other end of the phone, and I also have access to Slack and Notion to ask questions. If I have a concern, I can send them a Slack message at any hour of the day, and they’ll answer me.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They have the ability to take an idea and transform it into a product. It’s almost like they know exactly what’s needed to get things done before you’ve even said anything. They’ve got the answers to my questions. I also appreciate that they don’t just take my money and do the service for me; they’re there to support me and stay in contact.

No, I don’t know how they could improve. Everything has been beyond expectations.

Communication is the most important thing. Regardless of whether you think something is useless to say or if you just have an idea, say it to them. They’re good at taking a comment and turning it into a final product — and it’ll be something that’s more personal to what you need.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They built the whole platform for us. We had approached Jamie (Founder, Dazze Studio) and told him how we wanted the site to represent our store digitally.

The site is built on WooCommerce. It is a regular online store with a brand list, “about us” page, a wish list, and a pre-order section that we haven’t launched yet but will in the future. It’s also connected to our Instagram.

We have a system called Retail Pro that acts as our booking in and booking out system. It’s where we create all the products. We had to make sure that the website spoke to Retail Pro, and to do that, I think we had to get another platform called Octopus. Jamie organized all of that.

We worked with Jamie, and his wife did the font and colors.

How did you come to work with Dazze Studio?

They were suggested to us by a mutual friend. When it came to doing the website, we felt more comfortable going with someone who was suggested by friends and whose work we’d seen. We didn’t even approach anyone else. We did look at other website developers but decided to go with Dazze Studio.

It began in April 2019. It hasn’t really been completed yet, as they still help us out. Whenever I have a problem, I speak to Jamie. The e-commerce site went live in October 2019, and he does ongoing maintenance for us.

The feedback has been good. We are a smaller operation that’s only been around for over a year, so it’s slow, especially considering the current situation with COVID-19. But, we’re all hoping it will get better. It still hasn’t reached the stage where we can say we make most of our money from e-commerce. Before we shut the store due to Coronavirus, we were still making money predominantly through walk-ins rather than online, but I think it just takes time.

We maybe had a couple of glitches where the price was showing without text, but it was dealt with. People haven’t really raised any issues or any problems.

How did Dazze Studio perform from a project management standpoint?

It was quite good. My knowledge of e-commerce is quite limited so I wouldn’t know how to do the whole backend and frontend. I also wouldn’t know how to manage it. I just told them what we wanted the website to look like and what features we wanted, and Jamie made it happen.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I think Jamie is really hands-on, and I felt really comfortable approaching him at any time of day, and he would reply. He was really quick at sorting things out and dealing with issues whenever they happened. If I wasn’t sure about something, he would change it. Communication was easy with him.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, not really. I don’t think I am the right person to ask because this is the first time I have been involved in launching an e-commerce site.

Be clear about what you want. From the very beginning, you need to know how you want the pages to look. I don’t know much about the backend but I understand the look of the website. Just be clear about what you want and what you don’t, as I think it makes everyone’s life easier.

We managed to generate some organic sales purely through the website, internal SEO work and press.

I set an initial month for completion which allowed Dazze to put together a comprehensive schedule which was adhered to and completed on time. Once again, there was a contact feed of communication from the team with updates and developments.

Their speed and efficiency impressed me. This applies to both the initial and additional development work as well as the continued support throughout.

It's great that I'm able to manually update and work on the backend but I do believe a more simplified backend system would have been beneficial for speed and efficiency, especially when it's only myself working on the project.

Uniform Wares is a small, independent watch brand based in London. Our watches are produced by our manufacturing partners in Switzerland but everything else from design and marketing to sales and dispatch is done in house, from our East London based studio. Dazze Studio was hired to review and take care of a number of updates to our website, which was underperforming at the time due to bugs with the checkout process and a generally inefficient shopping experience.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to improve the checkout process, ease of shopping products and general user experience on the website and ultimately increase conversion as a result.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We had worked together in the past and I was very impressed with their in-depth technical knowledge, speed, and professionalism.

After fully reviewing the website, they identified it's main problem areas with the priority being the checkout process, where we had been experiencing a high rate of drop off. They conceded that this was largely caused by the checkout being too cumbersome and so rebuild a much simpler, one page checkout process which reacted in an immediate 20% uplift in conversion.

What was the team composition?

I was responsible for identifying the fundamental issues and requesting the work but am not from a technical background, so relied heavily on Dazze to review and identify what the specific causes were and manage the work required to fix them. We also had a separate digital marketing manager and another developer on hand to support basic work but Dazze spearheaded and oversaw all development projects.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

After months of disappointing sales performance on our website, which otherwise seemed to be doing well, Dazze identified that though our traffic volume and interest in our product was positive, the inefficient checkout process meant that we had a high rate of drop off, causing very disappointing conversion.

Once identified as one of the main issues, Dazze designed, built and had a new checkout process up and running within days, having and immediate effect on our sales, increasing conversion by 20%.

Dazze would report directly to myself on main projects, managing the additional developer themselves and working in parallel with the digital marketing manager.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their combination of in-depth technical knowledge, speed, and professionalism, combined with their friendly nature made them a pleasure to work with. This also instilled in me a level of trust that is rare in this industry, meaning that I could leave them to manage projects in the knowledge that they were doing things in the most efficient way possible and that the quality and speed of their work would be proven by the clearly evident results it delivered.
