I’m the director of marketing for a life insurance provider.

What challenge were you trying to address with Dancing Line Productions?

We wanted to create an informative, appealing commercial to educate the general public on our services. The type of insurance we provide isn’t something people tend to think about or may find interesting, so we wanted the video to convey our message and resonate with our viewers.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Throughout our engagement, Dancing Line Productions has created four animated commercials for us. The videos range from 15 seconds–60 seconds. Anik works with our writer/creative director to develop the ads. We provide the scripts to the production team, and they create the videos and characters from there.

The videos need to be re-created in French. For this process, Anik ensures the mouths of characters match up with the translated words and other nuanced features.

Our director recommended their team because Anik had worked with award-winning animation groups in the past. We viewed a selection of their work and knew that they would be the right fit.

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve worked together from 2016–2018. Anik is currently making some small revisions on a previous commercial for us.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Because of the recognizable animations, awareness about our company has significantly increased. Also, the videos look unique and capture the attention of our viewers.

How did Dancing Line Productions perform from a project management standpoint?

They were extremely organized and met every deadline. Whenever an issue arose, Anik would inform us immediately and find a solution. They’d let us know our options and how it would affect our progress. Working with them simplified the process because they had a keen attention to detail and managed the project well.

Their work ethic and talent were valuable to us—we knew the project was in good hands. Their team is full of professionals, and they make the work look easy.

There’s nothing they could do better.

The client was very satisfied with the final product. They are planning to submit the campaign to the IBC awards this coming year.  The response metrics were positive from the stakeholders who will be presenting the material.

We set up a review for every Monday, and I was always pleased with the progress.

We needed help animating video content integrated with live-action footage we shot. The deliverables were for broadcast in both English and French.

Dancing Line Productions animated two 60-second videos for broadcast, including 30-second and 15-second cutdowns. All the videos were duplicated in English and French.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The video created is our most successful video on our Google Ads campaign. It also achieved very high levels of engagement across our social media channels.

They were incredibly responsive, patient, and understanding of my requirements and all deliverables were delivered on time. I was kept updated on progress throughout and was very satisfied with the level of communication received.

Anik is incredibly talented and was able to offer many novel and creative ideas and suggestions for the video concept based on my brief explanation of the company, our products and values. The end result was much more engaging and fun than anything I could have conceived and I was incredibly impressed with how quickly and easily Anik understood and responded to the brief, despite our niche area of business.

Sent over project outline and brief, they sent back a proposal, including cost and timeline. I sent over more detailed notes about the project, they sent back a first cut a few weeks later.

We went back and forth a few times to get it to final version- had to get a lot of stakeholder feedback each round, but feedback implementation was seamless!

The Dream Donuts animation video is successfully showcasing our products in our new Tim Hortons innovation cafe entertaining everyone who is in line. Despite the tight timeline, Dancing Line provided great services and great creative output.
