What specific goals or objectives did you hire CyberPro Consulting to accomplish?

Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

CyberPro acted primarily as an independent solution architecture and technical advisory resource throughout important parts of Swizil’s design and build.

The engagement included:

• Reviewing and advising on the proposed solution architecture.
• Providing guidance on architectural and technical design decisions.
• Acting as an experienced sounding board for our backend engineer, particularly when considering different approaches or resolving more complex technical questions.
• Reviewing elements of the platform from a security perspective and carrying out security checks.
• Identifying potential technical risks and recommending practical approaches to address them.
• Providing independent technical assurance as the platform moved from design into development.

The value of the engagement was not simply a set of documents or prescribed deliverables. CyberPro gave our internal team access to experienced architectural expertise when we needed it, while allowing our developers to retain ownership of the implementation.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The engagement contributed to Swizil progressing from solution design through development and ultimately into a live production platform.

The architecture developed during this period has supported the continued development and expansion of the product, and the security reviews helped us identify and address areas requiring additional attention before launch.

An equally important outcome was the additional technical assurance provided to our development team. Our backend engineer was able to use CyberPro as an independent sounding board for architectural and implementation decisions, helping us validate approaches before committing development resources.

Because this was primarily an architecture and advisory engagement rather than a project with transactional KPIs, we would measure its success principally through the quality of the technical decisions made, issues identified early, and the successful progression of the platform into production. The advice was consistently practical, technically sound and appropriate to our requirements. In particular, the ability to challenge or validate technical decisions added significant value.

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

The engagement was very responsive and collaborative. CyberPro worked well alongside our internal development team and was available when we needed advice or an independent technical perspective.

They were pragmatic rather than overly theoretical in their approach, which was particularly valuable to us as an early-stage technology company. Advice was clear, constructive and focused on helping the team make appropriate decisions rather than adding unnecessary complexity.

We found them responsive to our needs and reliable in delivering the work and advice agreed. The ability to access experienced solution architecture expertise without needing to employ that capability permanently was valuable to us, particularly during the design and early build stages.

What was your primary form of communication with CyberPro Consulting?

Virtual Meeting

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They also worked extremely well alongside our internal technical team. Our backend engineer was able to use them as a trusted sounding board - challenging ideas, validating approaches and providing an independent perspective when needed. That collaborative approach, together with their willingness to identify and raise potential security or architectural concerns, gave us an additional level of confidence during a critical stage of building the platform. CyberPro provided experienced, pragmatic technical guidance at an important stage in Swizil’s development and became a trusted source of independent advice for our development team.

Are there any areas for improvement or something CyberPro Consulting could have done differently?

There are no significant areas of improvement that stand out from our engagement. The nature of our requirement was quite fluid because we were designing and building a new platform, and CyberPro adapted well to that environment.

• Migration project - This project required 7 Cyber Pro Human Capital, 5 Data Engineers, 1 Project Manager, 1 Data Architect in order to migrate all Risk assets from Microsoft APS to Amazon Web Services and to Redshift Postgresql Data Warehouse. The need for CyberPro contractors with Capitec Bank, ramped up tremendously, as the scope expanded based on ongoing analysis. CyberPro's engineers were of absolute excellent quality, and Shiyaam Harte from CyberPro was a phenomenal account manager with Capitec Bank, and still is.
• Building data pipelines from on-premise to AWS Cloud to DW: This involved building the pipelines to ingest data from on-premise MS SQL servers to our EDL Data Lake and then shipping this data to our Risk Schema. Excellent work done here as well, perfect talent chosen by CyberPro and recommended for the job.
• Regulatory Submissions: This is still an ongoing function, and the Data Engineers and architect that still remains for the daily Regulatory Submissions as well as Risk Returns to the SARB, is of excellent quality, same engineers that has joined since the migration. They have saved the bank millions of rands each quarter. Again, high commendation to CyberPro on the quality of their engineers.

The Project Manager did a stellar job with being able to track progress, recommend priority based on availability of the platforms, understood the tech stack, communciated really well with stakeholders, kept the team on track, negotiated timelines when required, and definitely met the needs of the project.

There were so many moving parts, but all was orchestrated in a professional manner and with clear experience by the project manager.

Migration was a success, no assets that were agreed to be migrated were left behind or history lost on migration.
