We searched for web designers in our area and after interviewing a couple of firms, we chose CyberOptik because of their affordable price and experience.

We had a couple of discovery meetings with CyberOptik to go over our goals and to review other sites that we liked and disliked. We chose from their wide variety of templates one that would best match our vision. We provided the content with the help of their copywriter and they finalized the design. We were able to make revisions along the way and the delivered a final product we are proud of.

We worked with a project manager, a copywriter and a manager. They were all very helpful and allowed us to work at our own pace.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our site just launched so we haven't received any customer feedback yet but our inside sales team is proud of the new site and looking forward to directing their customers and prospects to it.

The workflow between our team and theirs worked very well. We had one point of contact at CyberOptik and they were very responsive to our questions and concerns.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We were pleased to have one point of contact. We have had experiences in the past where there are a variety of people involved and this made the process more streamlined.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We got a great site for the value we paid. We could have paid more to have more features but this fit our needs and we are happy with the result.

What challenge were you trying to address with CyberOptik?

Several years ago, Adobe stopped providing support for websites in Adobe Business Catalyst. Because of that, we had to transition and convert our entire website to WordPress. We hired CyberOptik to help us with that integration while developing a new website for us.

What was the scope of their involvement?

CyberOptik took what we had on the website while also making changes. We altered our galleries, and they morphed everything into a new website. The existing website had a variety of pages, and the biggest challenge for us was with the galleries. Our teams had to reformat elements; there was an entire gallery that had textures, colors, and finishes. Plenty of other elements accompanied it. CyberOptik took care of these things. 

At present, CyberOptik continues to help us with more things. Recently, they’ve helped us make the website viewable for blind people. For context, many states are adopting standards related to such a website feature, so the team helps us be compliant with that. 

What is the team composition?

I have direct contact with Ron (Principal & Marketing Director) and Warren (Creative Director). There’s a team behind them that supports certain aspects of the project, but Ron and Warren run everything. 

How did you come to work with CyberOptik?

I searched around locally for companies that could have more hands-on involvement in the project. Specifically, I didn’t want to deal with a team in a different country or state — I wanted an interaction that was more on a one-on-one basis. With those things in mind, the feedback I received from Ron was favorable. That was when our engagement started.

We’ve invested around $60,000. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in August 2018, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

To measure success, we check our website's ranking and positioning. We’re working on a bunch of keyword-rich content, and CyberOptik’s updates have made the website more accessible to us. The site is also more intuitive to use; everything is a lot easier now. 

How did CyberOptik perform from a project management standpoint?

We always communicate back and forth. Sometimes, they have to go into hiding to do what they have to do, and then I receive updates from time to time. I never have to pressure them to do anything. In fact, I’m the one who’s busy with other things and falls behind in terms of communication. Most of the time, we interface via email. They usually provide us with links where we can preview non-live pages. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

I don’t want to deal with multiple people; I don’t want to go to one person for PPC and to another person for design or something else — I want to consolidate that process. That’s where CyberOptik is great. Since they’re local, I can sit down with them and we can go through the project together. I appreciate this, especially since we’re working on a large project. They ensure that everybody is on the same page and knows what they’re doing.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Technology is their field of expertise. However, I may not always be familiar with their explanations and the technical jargon they use. Resolving this can make our processes flow easier.

As you go into the engagement, review their website and their capabilities. You can use their websites as examples of what you want them to do. From there, have more in-depth conversations about what you’re trying to accomplish.

I’m the president of a manufacturer’s representative company. We’re a sales organization representing different companies and acting as their sales force.

We had an existing website, and we were trying to modernize it.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We used our existing website to discuss how we wanted to upgrade it. CyberOptik worked on development using WordPress; we wanted the site to be easy to navigate for our customers and organized by market and product type.

The design work was a collaborative effort. They showed us templates, and then our team sent them back information on how we wanted to use that particular template and what type of data we wanted to display. Now, they’ve taken on web hosting, and the maintenance is included as part of the hosting fees.

What is the team composition?

Our main point of contact was Ron (Website Expert, Principal & Marketing Director). We primarily interacted with two people. The business manager worked to set up the relationship between us, and the main developer created the content and organized it how we wanted it. 

How did you come to work with CyberOptik?

They advertised themselves to us for 2–3 years. When we were finally ready to take on this project, they were familiar to us because they’d been pretty persistent in reaching out. We interviewed a couple of developers, but we decided to go with CyberOptik, so their continual touchpoints paid off.

We spent $2,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in January 2020, and we finished up everything in August 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The most tangible evidence is our website. We think it looks good, and the project went pretty well.

How did CyberOptik perform from a project management standpoint?

They did a decent job. We communicated back and forth, sharing our thoughts and questions as they created content. They directed us to a test site to see what they were building. We had a couple of phone calls, but we primarily used email to communicate.

When we were negotiating the project, I met with Ron in person. After we booked the order, there was no more in-person interaction.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They were very approachable. CyberOptik listened to what we liked and tried to accommodate us. Also, they guided us into what would or wouldn’t work. Overall, their responsiveness was excellent.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We got off a little slower than expected, so the project lasted about eight months. It usually would’ve taken them a couple of months, but they communicated that they had delays. In the end, they threw us a bone and gave us a couple of things for free or some extended support time to make up for it, so we were satisfied.

Also, the project involved more responsibility for us than we’d expected. We had to provide them with a lot of input on how we wanted things to look like and what content to include, and we were hoping they’d guide us more on that side. It was just a miscommunication about their expectations, but I think if we’d paid more money, they would’ve taken a more encompassing role.

Once we figured out how the business would flow, it went smoothly. However, they could’ve explained their expectations for us better and what they’d provide.

Ask a lot of questions about the expectations and responsibilities from each side so everything is well-understood.

I contacted Ron, the owner of CyberOptik, who was very quick to respond, and we set up an in-person meeting to discuss the project and our expectations. Based on that meeting, I was very happy and excited to move forward, and I have been extremely happy with that decision every since.

Over the past six years, we have received numerous compliments from clients and colleagues about the aesthetics and usefulness of the website. The various "tabs" and "links" are very user-friendly, and the website provides a great deal of information in a clean, non-cluttered, easy-to-use format.

Ron has always been quick to respond and very communicative. He provides timely updates and recommendations for the website, and he keeps us up to date with changing issues/terms that may impact our website.

I'm the CEO of a visual marketing company. We provide visual marketing graphics including large format graphics, digital printing, and site installations to companies such as hospitals, car dealers, transportation, and retail stores.

Before hiring CyberOptik we had contracted with a number of web developers and were very disappointed with their work. As a recent startup company, we were looking for a web development partner who could build a new more professional company that could both design and bring us fresh ideas for digital marketing.

After getting burned by our previous web developer we began looking for a new partner through web search as well as networking. We connected with CyberOptik through our local chamber of commerce. After a number of face-to-face meetings with CyberOptik we knew that they understood our issues.

We had a number of meetings to discuss the scope of work and what our goals were. From there the team at CyberOptiks developed a number of sample sites. In our meeting, we indicated that we wanted the site to be built on the Word Press platform so that we could do simple updates such as adding recent project updates and photos.

A CyberOptik project manager was our key contact, as well as a web designers working behind the scenes.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

After launching the site we saw an immediate uptick in site views and click-throughs. We also saw an increase in direct contacts, through the phone as well as email, which led to increased sales.

During the website development, we had frequent online meetings as well as face-to-face with our project manager. Open completion of the website we have regular with our project manager who continues to bring us new ideas to grow our business. Last year during the pandemic we saw a slowdown in business. Our project manager developed a content plan where we are working with CyberOptik's copywriter to build new monthly blog content.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

CyberOptik was a professional company that gave us a great site and a true partner that helped us grow our business. I highly recommend their work.

We've had a few minor glitches along the way, but the team at CyberOptik are always quick to respond. Most of the issues were due to lack of time at our end because of the on-demand nature of our business.

We interviewed a lot of companies and liked that he was young and good. He’s been stuck with us ever since.

They’re very affordable, as far as we’re concerned. We’ve spent between $10,000-$50,000.

We’ve been working together since January 2014.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Eight years later, we’re still please with the site. It’s hard to keep track of metrics since we’re a word of mouth and by-referral-only company, but we’ve had success with people reading our blog and travel news and then calling in.

The best part is that I can call or email with any issue I have, and it’ll be taken care of within 24 hours, if not sooner.

Ron himself always calls to check in and make sure everything’s going well.

They’re super responsive and do things very well. I haven’t seen any mistakes at all.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We initially hired CyberOptik to manage our Google Ads, as we had already been doing SEO work with another company at the time. We eventually took them in to do manage our SEO as well. When we saw positive results come through our Google Ads campaigns, we decided to expand their scope of work and have them upgrade and update our website.

For SEO, we provided their team with guidance when it came to our goals, keywords, and target areas. They put together different landing pages that could express what our business does and help us reach a wider audience.

Ron (Principal & Marketing Director) was our main point of contact, but we worked with different people over the course of the project. One individual gave us monthly SEO updates while another worked on the website. There was also another person in charge of the landing pages.

I thought that it would be nice to engage with someone who was actually local since they would have a better understanding of the area. CyberOptik does excellently in terms of project management. They’re very professional and hands-on. They reach out to me whenever they had questions and we work together to ensure that everything is working properly. They’re also very accessible and responsive when I need some guidance and direction. I’m happy with our partnership, and that’s the reason we’ve worked with them for so long.

We typically communicate over email, but we do also Zoom calls for in-depth discussions. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

I really appreciate how responsive they are and how we could always get in touch with the right person. We’ve worked with other companies where we’re not really dealing with anyone specifically; our questions get thrown around and eventually get handled by someone who doesn’t have the right expertise. That’s never the case with CyberOptik. They know exactly what they’re doing.
