We needed to communicate our services in as few words as possible, using eye-catching images and graphics. We wanted a WOW factor to differentiate our services from our competitors.

What was the scope of work with Creative Brand Design?

Creative Brand Design handled all layout design, SEO optimization, and graphics for the website. The team optimized the layout and imagery to keep the viewer engaged as the story of our company was portrayed.

We communicated with as many as four teammates from Creative Brand Design.

How did you come to work with Creative Brand Design?

We found Creative Brand Design through an online search. The samples of past work presented on their website showed the ability to take graphical design further than their competitors.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from March–May 2025. We have continued using their services to maintain and enhance the website on a monthly basis.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Creative Brand Design delivered a better refined description of our services. We expect to see several hundred percentage points of traffic and engagement over our previous website.

How did Creative Brand Design perform from a project management standpoint?

Creative Brand Design reacted quickly and stayed on the timeline. We received updates for review at each milestone, including the draft home page, subpages, and wireframe designs. The team implemented any changes we asked for and provided options and solutions.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We were most impressed with Creative Brand Design's knowledge and process for building a website while staying within budget and timeline. Most importantly, the team understood graphical design and created a visually impressive website.

We have used several firms through our history, and CBD is the first to deliver on every vision we had for our website. CBD was the first and only firm capable of building a website that matched our aggressive vision.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s nothing Creative Brand Design could have done better.

Feedback summary

Creative Brand Design did not meet the client's expectations — in fact, the delivered site was less functional and incurred several technical issues. The team also missed deadlines and implemented changes without asking for approval from the client. Overall, they were a very unprofessional partner.

Website was built by the owner of the website - self taught and it was hoped that a professional company could improve upon this original design. Site was functional and receiving good traffic before Creative Brand Design became involved. Approx 1000 visitors per day

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The design has been changed but progress has not been made because the site is less functional than it was before. The search function is cumbersome, the text too large in places, no test site was used and no prior testing took place see check compatibility with different browsers r the mobile version of the site.
Creative Brand Design also decided to take over hosting without permission and then said,"Oh well, it's done now. You may as well just stay with our hosting". It took two months for them to finally put our site back to GoDaddy. Taking over hosting defaulted all setting to creative Brand Design and client payments were then received directly by Brand Design, essentially diverting funds to their account. This was refunded but no apology was ever received.

Horrible service. Whole project was supposed to take three to six months and ended up taking one year and three months. There are still ongoing issues with the website, but Creative Brand Design rarely responded to our emails. Traffic has reduced from 1000 visits per day to 150 per day. Creative Brand Design were not responsive to our needs at all and carried on regardless. Installed block editor on Wordpress without checking - this is apparently an outdated practise now.

Creative Brand Design don't seem to have the expertise to cope with a website that is fucntioning well with traffic. Definitely in over their heads and completely destroyed ten years of work, domain authority and traffic.

Unfortunately, I can't think of anything.

They could have created a test design site. They could have been more responsive when they made errors and corrected these errors timeously. They could have asked for permission to take over the hosting instead of doing it without our knowledge.They could have refunded the misappropriated funds quicker. They could have answered emails and the CEO could have responded. He never once replied to any of our complaints.
