The team provided us with a super detailed moodboard, information architecture, and made a lot of recommendations for ways we can improve the apps functionality. We were very impressed by their organisation and thoroughness. We felt in very good hands, and everything was executed stage by stage on time and within budget.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We couldn't be happier about the outcome of this project. The style, creative, functionality, everything was beyond our expectations. We've shown the finished product to many people and everyone is blown away by how much better the app has become thanks to Andrew & Yuri's insights and hard work.

Flawless. The were super responsive, detail-orientated, communicated in perfect english. It couldnt have been smoother.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

How fast they were able to work, with very little revision needed. I'm quite particular aswell, having a background in Design myself, so im not easily pleased. These guys did an incredible job.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Nothing at all. My expectations were surpassed by far.

The project progressed quickly and the Cre8 team was able to produce tangible results in a very professional manner. The work progressed according to professional project management in sprints and through weekly review meetings. We had real-time Figma access in use all the time, where all designs were available and it was then easy to evaluate and further develop them together.

The supplier exceeded our expectations in terms of both delivery and quality. We quickly got the Design System defined and several important UX concepts and user paths designed.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow was very smooth and progressed very well managed. Even though war mode is on, everything works extremely well. The performance of the Cre8 team has been very high.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They really understood our business and the needs of our users very well. The team didn't have to be "trained" on our behalf at all, but they were well aware of the requirements of the customers and users right from the first sprint, and they were able to offer good UX solutions right from the beginning of the project.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

No significant improvement needs from our point of view.

I am the owner of a mid-sized web and mobile application company which services clients in the US & EU.

For what projects/services did your company hire Cre8 Team ?

We brought in Cre8 to help with an existing project we were working on. The full-scale project included UX/UI design, graphic design, frontend, and backend development. As the project progressed, we knew we would need additional design resources in order to complete the project along our desired deadline, so Cre8 was brought in to:

1. Work with our internal team to expand the existing base design system to include the full components that would be needed.
2. Help us to design and arrange pages that would be used in the system.
3. Help us to put together creative solutions for several interfaces that were required but presented design challenges to be effective on both desktop and mobile.
4. Along the same line to help develop mobile designs for all of the planned interfaces.
5. Design system e-mails. Essentially, they were brought in to take ownership of the design aspects of the project so we could focus our resources on other needs.

We found Cre8 via Upwork, and after interviewing several candidates we decided to go with the Cre8 team. Initially we were looking for individual designers rather than an agency, but as we talked with Cre8 we decided having a few members from the same agency working together, along with the PM and oversite an agency would bring, that they would be the best choice.

We had an initial design system that had been put together by our lead UI/UX designer and some initial pages put together by our graphic design team. These were in the initial phases however, and updates needed to be done to the existing components and pages in order to adjust them for fluid design.

The first phase was to help us update the existing resources and to help us to update and complete the design systems that were needed for the project, based on descriptions from our specification and our daily standups. Next, we moved into the design phase where we used the components from the design phase to arrange the desktop and mobile designs we would need for each interface.

Third, once the base pages were completed, we moved into the trickier aspects of the project which required a lot of critical thinking and clever design to provide the features and functions that were required while keeping the design simple, easy to use, and workable on both desktop and mobile. Finally, we updated designs based on feedback and change requests, and completed the final tasks like email and smaller design tasks.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We were very pleased with the outcome of our collaboration with Cre8. First, in their ability to jump into an existing project and hit the ground running with very little time loss for onboarding. This is always difficult and they managed it well.

Their knowledge and expertise on our design system strategy helped to get the initial steps completed quickly and effectively. And of course, the outcome of the designs themselves, which turned out excellent, even the more trickier sections. We are very pleased with the end-result, as are the product owners.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Workflow and communication was excellent throughout the project, both in keeping tasks up to date in our PM system, communicating effectively in slack, as well as attending our daily design standups.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The system we are developing is very complex and has a lot of moving parts. When a project is this complex, and technical, it can be easy, especially for designers to get a bit lost in the details.

The cre8 team seemed to have little issue with this and were able to effectively take written descriptions of functionality and turn them into usable designs, including and often recommending additional needed states, and areas where logic was missing or additional UI was necessary. Having that feedback and collaboration was incredibly useful when working on a project like this.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

No, we were pleased from start to finish. I only wish we had brought them in sooner.

We first studied the landscape of our competitors websites to see where we could differentiate ourselves. They then started working on the layout with wireframes. Once we approved the wireframes, we worked on the colors.

Everyone on my team loves the design of the website. It came out better than we expected. Our clients also enjoy the look and feel of our website.

The designer was easy to reach and easy to communicate with. We held in-person meetings and also had constant communication on Slack. They met our deadlines and if delays came up, they notified us so it never became a problem.

Their UX/UI design skills and vision were the most impressive. Our website feels modern and up to date with trends.

We cooperated before on another project with the founder of the Cre8 Team Yurii Funkendorf. We saw in practice a high standard of work and great feedback from the customer. That is why we decided to cooperate with Yurii and his team on a new project again.

The project is a marketplace app focused on helping refugees offer services to sell their own products or services in a new country. Provide refugees with the possibility to get back on their feet and find a spruce of living. Cre8 Team was actively involved from the creation of a concept for the future app to the final UI stage.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Cre8 Team successfully completed the project. We started from the concept in Discovery Phase during this stage was created app architecture. After designing the main UX/UI screens including main marketplace features, product screens, profiles, search, filters, chat e.t.c

We had several sync meetings during the week to discuss updates from Cre8 Team and answer questions. Cre8 Team showed us their progress each week.

Quick grasp on understanding the target audience and problems which need to solve using digital app solutions. Professional approach with communication and workflow. They were very practical and suggested a lot of improvements in the UX during the cooperation.

Overall cooperation was smooth. I didn't identify any critical issues during it.

Usually, the clients we land have their own UI/UX designs prepared or choose to customize some of our existing template designs. An edtech startup reached out to us wanting completely custom designs and wanted something out of the box. After scoping around Cre8 team's work I was convinced to go with them.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We searched on Upwork and Dribble. I came across Yuri's profile on both platforms. The attention to detail and extensive case studies written was something I didn't find in a lot of agencies providing similar services. This lead me to contact Yuri and see if we could work together. Luckily we did!

Cre8 team started by taking client's requirements and preparing a mood board. Mood board was a list of inspirations for similar projects. Those were presented to the client to lock in their design aesthetic which I found quite smart. The next step was to prepare a workflow diagram to make sure all the use cases expected out of the project were covered. These were then translated to high-level wireframes which we could present to the client to show how each element would be placed. Once that was approved we moved toward the final UI design in Figma. The handoff for my agency was an excellent UI-Kit which could be used by us to develop the website.

I dealt directly with Yuri as the manager of Cre8 and Daria as the designer.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

I cannot stress enough the wonders a well-organized Figma deliverable with a proper UI-Kit does for any development agency. It saves a lot of valuable time and everything is clear. It also helped us to easily prepare development ballparks for the clients and proceed further to the development phase earlier than expected.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

A slack channel was set up by Cre8 team which also included the client. There were separate channels for their own team communication and separate for communication between designers and developers. It was very cohesive as we could directly reach out to Yuri for advice on implementations and Daria would help us out by making any suggested changes.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their designs were awesome no doubt but what really impressed me was their dedication. Even in the hardships of Ukraine the team never lost their spirit and continued to deliver. It spoke highly of their work ethic. Moreover, like us, the team believed in the transparency of work and I loved that about them.

So far my journey with them has been sublime.

The task was to create the UI/UX design for a brand new, planned mobile app. The final delivery was a ready-to-implement Figma file. The stages were well planned and executed by Cre8. We had a first phase where we discussed the architecture and held brainstorming sessions. After that Cre8 provided wireframes that we evaluated together to find weaknesses and space for improvement. Then, they finally designed the UI in Figma. After this we had several revisions where they implemented improvements that they or we found.

This is a new platform going up against big players who have been around for years. One of our core USP's was to offer an easy to use, modern, well designed platform to source products. We were not looking for an agency who could showcase good graphic design. We wanted an agency who could demonstrate well thought through UX design and understand the importance of quality.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We interviewed over 20 agencies, all offering similar services and had a quality portfolio but the most important thing was to find someone who believed in what I believed in and was excited about the challenges and ambitions I had. The cre8 team asked excellent questions and provided value straight from the get go.

The first phase of the project was intensive user and market research. I wasn't expecting this to have been done in such detail to be honest but was blown away by the presentation of research completed. Following from this, the team began to create the app architecture and developed the user journey. From here they created low fi wireframes of the designs and created a list of features. Once I approved things got particulary exciting as they began to work on creating UI designs using our brand identity. They delivered a prototype which allowed us to run usability testing, gather feedback and optimise the design. I was then given a final deliverable package of all assets and they have been working closely with our development team on testing and bug fixes.

As founder and product owner I have lead all communication with the the Cre8 team. I've worked with their user research team and lead UX/UI designer. What I like is that I work directly with the team executing and not through a project manager which I find things can get lost in translation.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

I am more than pleased with the end deliverables. The quality of design is impeciable. We have a detailed component library that our development team have been able to work off and we every screen/state that we could possibly need. The design system that has been created allows us to create rapid prototypes and be aglie with out development. I am beyond happy with how the cre8 team have worked and felt their passion for what they do from day one. Each and every one of their team are dedicated, professional and kind people. Not to mention the hardship they have gone through in recent months with the attacks on their nation.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

I have loved being able to work with the key stakeholders on the project. I was able to communicate my vision directly to the source and the outcome was exactly as I wished. I had regular checkins with the CEO to check I am happy and we are on track. It is clear that internally they manage the projects well as I never felt pressured or frustrated with delivery times.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Dedication to my vision... They not only believed in what I wanted to achieve they contributed to the vision and added value that have allowed us to create the gap even further from our competitors.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Being completely honest. No. I've used agencies and design resources oversees for just over 14 years and I have tried and tested my fair share of individuals and team but I can confidently say that the cre8 team deliver a service unlike any I have worked with. I am aware that this might sound a little exaggerated but it is the truth !
