I was the CEO of IonSense, a small technology company.

I needed help with my marketing efforts.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Covalent Bonds has provided me with comprehensive marketing and communication services over the years. Basically, they help us with all of our marketing and communication activities and assets, which include the following:

• SEO.
• PPC campaigns on Google Ads and other platforms.
• Social media marketing on LinkedIn and other platforms.
• PR.
• Press releases.
• Digital marketing.
• Webinar support.
• Email marketing.
• Sales activities support.
• Presentations.
• Brochures.

In addition, Covalent Bonds measures the results from those activities. We collaborate weekly on running marketing campaigns, and they help us create the content needed for every part of our efforts. Obviously, if the content is highly technical, we support content creation. Still, they’ve learned enough about our business to create content on their own.

What is the team composition?

I’ve worked with 4–5 people from Covalent Bonds, including Laura (CEO), who is in charge of the strategic direction; Olga (Chief Optimization Officer & Co-Owner), who is the SEO expert; Jenn (Optimizations Executive), who manages our account; and a content writer.

How did you come to work with Covalent Bonds LLC?

I’ve worked with Laura for three other companies through the years; I contact Covalent Bonds whenever I need marketing services. I actually met Laura at a large PR company, and when she started Covalent Bonds, I was one of her first customers.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent over $200,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

I started working directly with Covalent Bonds around 2013 when Laura started the company, and our engagement is ongoing. My company was acquired by a larger firm, but we’ve kept working with Covalent Bonds.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Thanks to Covalent Bonds’ efforts, my small company got acquired. They made us look bigger than we were through the marketing asses they were creating, improving our visibility. Additionally, our sales increased as a result of those efforts. Now, they continue to measure the results of those activities to ensure we don’t fall behind expectations.

How did Covalent Bonds LLC perform from a project management standpoint?

Covalent Bonds’ project management is very good, which is why I keep working with them. They’re growing, so they have growing pains, but they still perform very well. We were already using Salesforce, but they recommended HubSpot for our marketing. Additionally, they use their own tool for metrics measurement.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Covalent Bonds’ strengths are PR and market knowledge. Laura has intimate knowledge of the analytical instruments industry, and she has a great network of publishers, editors, and investigators. Additionally, they focus on scientific companies because their knowledge in the scientific space is outstanding — hence the name Covalent Bonds.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be very clear on your needs and ensure you know the activities you want to do so that they can build specific marketing campaigns around your goals. They’re very good at executing, so the marketing efforts will be as strong as your strategy.
