I’m a department manager at Deep Instinct, a cybersecurity startup company.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Courage Media?

We were looking to create a series of explainer technical videos to showcase the features of our product and technology.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Using our recently rebranded guidelines, Courage Media has helped us produce over five 2–5-minute videos, as well as an overall brand video that was a bit longer. For this project, we wrote the script internally and provided it to them, along with some iconography, guidelines, and parameters regarding the imagery we wanted to be featured to ensure it followed our brand guidelines.

After that, Courage Media took our input, put everything together, and produced the videos. They were also in charge of recording voice-overs, hiring talent, and handling all postproduction tasks. Five videos were animation-only, and another one had a filmed portion, which they also handled. This video included a lot of photos and featured an actor. Currently, they’re producing more videos for us.

We’ve worked mainly with two people from Courage Media: the VP and a producer/editor.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent between $50,000–$200,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together around July 2021, and our engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We’ve used the videos produced by Courage Media in Google Display ads to get people to engage with us, and so far, we’ve had a lot of success and interest. Our brand video achieved over 75,000 within eight months. We’ve also had a lot of clicks, shares, and views on all of our videos. Overall, these videos are very helpful in explaining our product and what we do.

How did Courage Media perform from a project management standpoint?

Courage Media is phenomenal to work with. They’ve always delivered ahead of the deadline or right on time, and they constantly ensure to make us happy in a timely fashion. Most of our collaboration has been through email, although we’ve also used file-sharing software.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Courage Media is a phenomenal video production house. They can take a small project and produce an outstanding result because they put a lot of effort into the small details and intricacies. When I gave them the script, I thought it was very technical. However, I was very impressed to see them break it down, simplify it, and make it interesting and engaging. Additionally, Courage Media’s editings are impressive, allowing them to produce flawless and seamless work.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t think of anything Courage Media could improve on; they’ve exceeded all of our expectations.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Come to Courage Media with possible final scripts for them to build the videos around those. That’s the fastest way to create something exceptional in a short amount of time. Still, they’re very flexible and willing to make changes to your scripts on the go if needed.
