What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

After the initial design and engineering phases with Gembah, a fully functional prototype of the product was successfully developed. This prototype was subjected to a Design for Manufacturing (DFM) study to optimize its manufacturability, ensuring that the product could be efficiently and cost-effectively mass-produced. 

This comprehensive process from design conception to prototype development and DFM study enabled the product to advance significantly towards the manufacturing stage, laying a solid foundation for its future production and market launch.

Deliveries were consistently punctual, barring any unforeseen external factors like prototyping delays. Gembah exhibited commendable responsiveness throughout our collaboration, offering valuable insights and expertise that added significant value to the project.

Help us with the mechanical design of our innovative belay glasses. Key deliverables were the mechanical design, assembly structure design and mold files.

We successfully developed the world's first adjustable-view belay glasses. They are a 5-star product that is unique in the market.

Corvus has scaled up a lot since we first worked with them. The have much capability in house such as prototyping and machining services.

Summary of Scope of Work:

Take product concept from abstract ideas to physical representations in 3D (Industrial Design). Iterate as needed until team consensus indicates product form.  Then move the 3D concepts into mechanical design compatible with Electrical Design with manufacturing and cost constraints. Iterate again using 3D models and physical protos until design is proven. Then migrate design to achieve manufacturability. Provide all necessary documentation to achieve successful tooling.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

• Weekly concept reviews of ID progress.
• Weekly concept reviews of CAD progress.
• Physical prototype fabrication and reviews.

In addition to weekly status meetings, we had an open channel of communication through phone, email, and messaging as needed. Corvus is always responsive and also proactive in reaching out when they have questions.

An impressive aspect of Corvus Engineering is their level and breadth of expertise. They employed competent and experienced engineers and covered a wide range of disciplines.

I don't have any regrets with our experience using Corvus Engineering and look forward to using them on additional projects if possible.
