Conversion Flow conducted a comprehensive review of our site and performed customer research to identify key pain points in the user experience. Using heat maps and behavioral analytics, they analyzed how visitors interacted with various pages. Based on their findings, they created an A/B testing strategy aimed at increasing our conversion rate from 0.8% to 1.2%. They implemented several improvements across our landing pages, product detail pages (PDPs), and other critical areas of the site. As a result, we exceeded the 1.2% conversion target.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We had a shared A/B test dashboard that clearly showed the test we were running and the improvement over the baseline.  We focused on conversion, AOV and profitability for several of our tests.  All tests were very successful, and we see continued lasting benefits.

The team is very hands-on and manages projects very well.  They have relatively quick timelines and stay on schedule.  They are very easy to work with and highly knowledgeable.

We needed support with conversion rate optimization. We wanted to decrease the cost of acquiring a new customer by making improvements to our website and enhancing our messaging.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Media Contour | The Conversion Leaders provides us with conversion rate optimization services. The team handles everything for us. Initially, they conducted a thorough analysis of our website and interviewed our customers and team members. Based on that, they built hypotheses about what was causing people to come to our website but not make a purchase. They did a lot of thorough background investigation, which took a month or two. 

After that, the team developed a UX strategy and ran tests to see which of their hypotheses were correct. Finally, the team implemented changes on the website that had a meaningful impact on our problems. The team uses various statistical software and screen recording software to see how people interact with the site.

We work with Matthew, Ben, and a lead analyst. There are other people in the background working on the project, including a copywriter.

We’ve decreased our cost of acquiring a new customer, and our ad costs have decreased by 50%. The biggest test they’ve run for us has increased our revenue by 30%. We’ve run and implemented three tests, and we’ve made huge strides. I'm very happy with this engagement. The work they’ve done has paid for itself and continues to pay for itself.

We removed the low margin 'free shipping' model from our website and instead, with the help of the Media Contour - installed a gamification app to where all orders over $100 qualified for free shipping. Anything less than $100 in their cart required a $13 shipping fee based on other competitors. With this new model, our margin went from an average of 33% to 48%.

I'm the founder and CEO of Rrhoid Rage. We sell hemorrhoid treatment and prevention products on Amazon, Walmart.com, and our website. Potentially, we'll be selling our products on certain retail shelves next year.

What challenge were you trying to address with Media Contour?
One of our struggles as a new startup was that we created our website ourselves. We're not website experts, but we did the best job we could. However, we noticed that our website had a high bounce rate and wasn't converting well. Even though we had very high conversion rates on Amazon and other channels, our website had very low conversions, so we knew the products weren't the problem.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?
During the first stage of the project, Media Contour went through our website and identified the pain points we had regarding conversions, pinpointing the places where we had high bounce rates and were losing customers. They also provided us with a full heuristics report, for which they did market research on our product to show us its strengths and weaknesses.

Media Contour also provided us with their recommendations, which we really liked. The team went through their recommendations and provided us with mock-ups of what implementing the solutions and changes would look like. Moving forward, they'll provide us with maintenance and monitoring services.

What is the team composition?
At least two people from Media Contour were working on the project. Although I don't know if more teammates were involved in the project, I had direct contact with Ben (Co-Founder) and Matthew (CEO).

How did you come to work with Media Contour?
I met Ben at a small business expo in Dallas, Texas, and he told me about his business. We hit it off, and he explained that his company offered website and conversion optimization services, so we decided to hire him and give him a shot.

How much have you invested with them?
We spent around $3,500 on the main project. The maintenance cost will be around $400–$450 per month. I know that Contour Media cut us a special deal.

What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together around mid-November 2023, and the process took about a month, from the initial meeting to the delivery of their services. Although the main project was completed, Media Contour's monthly maintenance and monitoring services will continue.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
It's too early to see any results because we're still making some of the website changes Media Contour recommended. These changes included redesigning the website, so the version of the website they recommended isn't even live yet. Nevertheless, by just looking at the redesign mock-ups Media Contour recommended, we know the new website will do better than our current one. How much better the performance will be is yet to be seen, but we're confident that there will be an improvement.

As qualitative feedback, Media Contour's work quality is top-notch. Throughout the project, we knew we were dealing with competent people who knew what they were talking about, so we were confident we were in good hands. When their team was presenting what they came back with, I felt very good about the money I had spent because I knew it was worth it.

How did the company perform from a project management standpoint?
Media Contour was very upfront about the deadlines and budget; there were no hidden fees. The team used Asana to help everyone track the tasks, so we always knew when things were due and what they were working on. In addition to Asana, Media Contour was very available via email, Zoom calls, and phone calls. They made themselves available whenever we needed something.

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

Both Ben and Matthew delivered outstanding work.

What did you find most impressive about them?
I really liked the fact that Media Contour provided us with recommendations. Everyone can pinpoint areas of improvement, but not everyone can present a logical and relevant solution to our challenges. Still, the product they delivered at the end was the most impressive thing about working with them. They delivered a very professional and high-quality product.

Moreover, Media Contour's team had very nice people, which was a plus. We got to deal with kind people who were pleasant to speak to.

Are there any areas they could improve?
I can't think of anything Media Contour could have improved on — they were very good across the board.

Be very honest and upfront about your needs and expectations. The more details and information you can share with them, the better because a lot of their work relies on how much you share with them. If you share all the details about your business, Media Contour will provide you with a more detailed report.

The project started as a new website built to help NextRX establish an online presence. Media Contour helped us refine, test and optimize our messaging to help us get set up to launch our WOO COMMERCE store and telemedicine services. They we able to help us get accredited through NABP and acquire our .pharmacy URL, which allowed us to move forward with our e-commerce store. 

While working on the accreditation, they built out our e-commerce store and created a unique conversion funnel and UX that helps visitors easily up understand the journey and intuitively know how to convert without giving it any thought. They now continue to optimize and improve the conversion funnel and UX though there conversation optimization services.

There were a lot of roadblocks and complexities throughout the entire project. Media Contour continued to find ways around and through them to help our business launch its new business model that would disrupt the healthcare industry. 

This included navigating uncharted technologies, processes, and more. They were able to put it all together and launch our telemedicine and e-commerce website. Now that we have a website that conveys the value we offer to our patients along with a UX that allows patients to easily navigate a complex process. We expect significant increases in our business.

Media contour was always just a phone call or email away. We were able to sink up and communicate with them frequently. And they provided clear feed back to our team.

No, this was a unique project and we will continue to work with them as our business evolves. This is a complex and challenging project with new uncharted situations.

I am the founder of Dandurand Drug Company, a chain of independent retail, long-term care, and compounding pharmacies that include unique boutique gift stores established in 1976.

We were using a pharmacy-specific out-of-box website solution that made our brand look very cookie-cutter. We are well known in the area for our quality of service and, in particular, our unique high-end gift boutique. We're not your average independent pharmacy.

Not only did we need a website that matched our brand, but we also needed an online eCommerce presence so that we could begin to sell online locally, grow, and eventually sell nationally.

We selected Media Contour because of their proven track record of success, ability to identify exact needs and areas of focus, creative problem-solving, and tailored solutions to exact problems. More specifically, they knew eCommerce and how to facilitate awareness and convert that into sales.

Their strict timeline and dedication to high-quality work products were also deciding factors. We felt they would be the perfect partner to help our company reach its goals.

We met with Media Contour to discuss our project, our concerns, and both our short-term and long-term goals. During initial consultation meetings, they asked question that really drilled down into what makes us different from other pharmacies. They listed to our answers and created a website tailored to our needs. We went through a content creation process. Met with videographers to craft our story and how we fit into and support our community.

We wanted to convey our values and highlight what makes us different not only from traditional pharmacies but from other independent pharmacies. We met with photographers, to discuss product shots, in-store shots, staff photos and external photos, there was so much that went into this project. We sat down with the content writers for web copy and the web designers for the website. At the end of it all we were left with a stunning website that perfectly blended modern design and usability with the needs of an independent pharmacy and unique store.

On top of that, we had a spectacular video that we used on the website and for local TV spots. We had assets for the site as well as social media, and a roadmap for images and content going forward. Since launching the new site, we've seen increased customer engagement, faster loading times, and a more cohesive brand presence online. We're proud of our work with Media Contour and believe it has set us up for success in the future.
