ConversionAdvocates is responsible for running A/B testing on our website and guides us in how to enhance our site's UX and leads. The team has run 12 tests on our website this year. ConversionAdvocates has also supported our site redesign using Figma and providing input from a conversion rate optimization (CRO) perspective. We've provided our brand guidelines and written style guide to the team, and they're good at asking us what is okay and following our brand guidelines.

ConversionAdvocates is constantly running A/B testing, and the majority of the tests they've run this year have been successful. The team helps us understand our customers, how they interact with our site, and what resonates with them. We've had an excellent and continuous relationship with ConversionAdvocates.

How did ConversionAdvocates perform from a project management standpoint?

What I enjoy about working with ConversionAdvocates is their communication and project management skills. Jonathon and Demi are honest and on top of their work. If something goes wrong, the team is sincere about it and comes up with solutions. We communicate via Slack and Figma and have weekly through Microsoft Teams to strategize together and improve our site's UX; we previously used Google Meet, and ConversionAdvocates has adapted to our preferred tools.

Jonathan and Demi are great to work with. I can tell they care about providing solutions and increasing our leads, as well as about us in general. They're very collaborative and well-versed in CRO. They're hands-on whenever an issue needs to be fixed during testing. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

ConversionAdvocates is enjoyable to work with, and we have good conversations. The team cares about our company and tries to have a successful relationship. ConversionAdvocates is very knowledgeable and willing to explain things to us. I really enjoy that our meetings are collaborative, and the team doesn't command what to do; this is what sets ConversionAdvocates apart from other service providers.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can't think of anything ConversionAdvocates can improve. The team has immediately fixed any issue that has come up. 

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

I suggest leaning into ConversionAdvocates' suggestions and taking chances even if they aren't what you usually do because they're very knowledgeable. Let the team do what they do because it's great work.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The team at ConversionAdvocates increased our landing page conversions significantly. They delivered what was expected. Their team even changed their routine slightly to accomplish what we needed.
How did ConversionAdvocates perform from a project management standpoint?
Their project management style is good. They use Asana to assign projects. Everything was on us, but they asked a ton of questions. After that, it was a lot of internal work by setting things up and launching tests. Communication was excellent, and they also deliver on time.
What did you find most impressive about them?
When we interviewed ConversionAdvocates, it seemed like they grasped the root of our business. They fully wanted to know what was going on internally. Other companies we spoke to didn’t do that. We wanted a partnership, and that’s what we got with ConversionAdvocates.
Are there any areas they could improve?
While we’ve only had a month of reporting from them, I’d like a bit more detail in reporting and insights. That would give an idea of why a test worked or didn’t and what they learned. My expectations may not have been conveyed.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Be a partner in this. Give them all the data and as much leeway as you can. They know their craft and want to have a long-term relationship. Let ConversionAdvocates do their job.

I’m the president of Aleva Stores, a platform of e-commerce sites and large Amazon sellers. We own and manage over 15 different direct-to-consumer websites, primarily in the medical supply space.

We’re always concerned about our conversion rates, so we constantly strive to improve them. However, we had never used an external agency, so we decided to go that way to take a look at different ways to improve our conversion.

What was the scope of their involvement?

ConversionAdvocates helps us with conversion optimization. Initially, they gathered our information and requirements, which included filling out all the forms that they requested.

Currently, they run dozens of different tests on our websites to help us with conversion optimization. These tests give us insight into what the consumer’s reaction will be when trying to get a product added to the cart or ultimately converting it into a sale. As for the technologies used, ConversionAdvocates has leveraged Google Analytics and Google Optimize.

We work with 2–3 people from ConversionAdvocates, including one of the partners and a product manager.

How did you come to work with ConversionAdvocates?

We started exploring different agencies in early 2022 and had introductory calls with 2–3 of them, including ConversionAdvocates. We really liked them because they presented very well, had a direct approach, and seemed to be data-driven. During their presentation, they showed us some case studies and did some analyses of our sites, after which we signed our contract.

We signed our contract with ConversionAdvocates in July 2022, and our engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Throughout our engagement, ConversionAdvocates has identified a number of small improvements for our sites that have added up over time. Our work is still in process, but one of our main goals is to be able to identify these small improvements, so we’ve been successful in that regard. It will take time for us to implement all of the different changes and see the actual results. Still, we’re confident that it will happen.

As general feedback, ConversionAdvocates is very data-driven, and they make our job very easy because they do all the work. For example, they implement the tests right on the sites so that we don’t have to do any development work, which is very important for us. They’ve been a great partner so far.

How did ConversionAdvocates perform from a project management standpoint?

We’re very impressed with ConversionAdvocates’ work. They’re professional and organized, and the product manager really takes control of the relationship. He is accountable, energetic, and great to deal with all around. As for communication, we have a weekly Zoom call with them, during which they present data in PowerPoint.

What did you find most impressive about them?

ConversionAdvocates’ ability to run different data-driven tests is their main strength, which makes it very easy for us because they do all the work.

Are there any areas they could improve?

It would be great if ConversionAdvocates improved their presentations a little bit, although they don’t need to be fancy. Still, their presentations are very good.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

They’re the experts in what they do, so you just need to stay on top of the project, be engaged in the weekly calls, and ask questions as needed.

Although we weren’t ready to work with them, they stayed in my mind. Later, I reached out to ConversionAdvocates again, and they found room for improvement in our site after the redesign; that’s how we started working together.

Thanks to ConversionAdvocates' work, we've seen conversion rate and revenue increases, and we've had a very strong ROI. Finding companies that are excellent at what they do is challenging, but ConversionAdvocates is one of them.

How did ConversionAdvocates perform from a project management standpoint?

I'd give their project management top marks because they're extremely reliable and punctual. We primarily use Slack for communication and Google Optimize to track results. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

I'm impressed by ConversionAdvocates' ability to understand our business. They really care about learning about a company before they start working. As a result of their in-depth understanding, they're able to make very strategic decisions. Meanwhile, a lot of other companies stay on the surface. I've worked with many agencies, and ConversionAdvocates is one of the best.

There's nothing they need to improve; they're pretty good.

If you're looking for quality, go for ConversionAdvocates. Although they're not the cheapest option, they'll likely produce better results. If you have the money to invest, they're a great company to do that and a great partner.

How did your relationship with the vendor evolve?

We started by having an account manager with them, but there seemed to be a change in their organization, and new people came in, so there was a time when nobody was managing my account for several weeks, which made us burn a lot of time. They seemed like a good team, but their staff overlooked these situations.

Describe the impact this engagement has had on your business.

I expected more testing, design, and structure on my frontend. Overall, I thought I was getting more value from their work because we paid them significantly more compared to our previous providers.

How was project management handled?

We used Slack as our main communication tool.

Is there anything that the vendor did well or that you would consider a strength?

They did find a couple of recommendations that helped us improve a bit. Additionally, the person we worked with from their team was very personable and intelligent. 

In what specific areas can they improve?

ConversionAdvocates’ team could be more personable and improve their account management. In addition, they could try to be upfront with expectations regarding testing structure integration, changes implementation, and programming tactics to avoid downtime on platforms.

I’m the senior e-commerce manager at Net32, a marketplace to save dentists money. We sell products that dentists across the US need to successfully run their practice at a much lower price point than other marketplaces to save them money. They can come to us rather than going strictly to distributors.

What challenge were you trying to address with ConversionAdvocates?

Our company has grown at a very significant rate year over year; we’ve almost outpaced our growth. Over the years, we had added various features to our site, but we had never tracked if those features impacted our conversion rate and revenue positively or negatively.

As we continued to grow, part of our objectives was to track user behavior and understand our customers better via user and competitor research so that we could launch new UI/UX features that solved their pain points. Therefore, we decided that we wanted to get into A/B testing and conversion rate optimization (CRO), and we thought it would be best suited to bring in an agency with expertise in this matter.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

ConversionAdvocates has helped us with our A/B testing and conversion rate optimization efforts. Initially, we went through a stakeholder interview with them to talk about KPIs, what success looks like for us, what our business is, what our blockers are, who our customers are, and everything else related to our website and business. We also discussed what we expected from the testing, which tests we wanted to do, and which insights were important for us to get out of this exercise.

After a pretty extensive conversation, ConversionAdvocates started the A/B testing process. Originally, they used Google Optimize for testing, but we then decided to use AB Tasty instead, so they now use that tool to implement the testing. Additionally, they use the G Suite for other aspects of the testing and Figma to create mock-ups.

ConversionAdvocates’ work has resulted in over $200,000 in revenue, thanks to our website’s improved functionality.

How did ConversionAdvocates perform from a project management standpoint?

ConversionAdvocates’ project management is great. Their communication is clear, and they’re persistent in a good way. We have a lot of open conversations about the tests, and they have great ways of showing us their ideas and plans. Moreover, they back up their hypotheses with research based on customers and Google Analytics, and they’re very receptive to our ideas as well.

We use the G Suite to manage the project. ConversionAdvocates creates test plans on Google Slides, and they use Google Sheets for results and reports. Additionally, we communicate regularly via Slack, and we have weekly Zoom meetings.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The number of research hypotheses they have coming from our customers is impressive; they use real, tangible data and turn it into an action plan for testing. Sometimes, testing can get very subjective, and people might end up testing hypotheses based on their thoughts only. However, ConversionAdvocates does a great job at doing testing based on their findings from useful information from a heuristic analysis point of view.

From what I’ve seen and heard in the A/B testing space, not every company does what ConversionAdvocates does. They’re great at creating individualistic approaches to projects based on the company they’re working with, and they offer unique solutions to solve the actual problems related to each business.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, we haven’t had any particular issues with them. They’ve done a great job at listening to our ideas and feedback, as well as at making changes when necessary.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be involved in the process, continuously provide ideas and feedback, and be honest and open about any test plans they come up with. Be willing to fail with them because testing involves a lot of failing and learning to find success; it doesn’t happen overnight. Additionally, bring your own ideas to the table because you know your customers better than they do.

The Conversion Advocates team is very accurate in their estimations. Additionally, they take the time to understand our business and processes, which is great for me.

I don't think there's anything they can improve on.

Be very clear about the objectives you want to achieve. Start with what you’re looking for and be very specific about how you operate within your business sphere.

The quality of their work was amazing, and they did a very good job. Their work standards were very high, and the way they operate their business was very professional. Needless to say, their team really knew what they were doing.

How did ConversionAdvocates perform from a project management standpoint?

They performed very well in this regard. I was always in the loop, and they communicated really well and were very responsive. Whenever I asked them a question, I would get a reply almost instantly or within an hour. We communicated via Asana and Slack.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’d say it was their work ethic.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t have any negative feedback for them to be honest. They were very good at what they do, and there was never I time I felt they should have done something differently. Overall, we had a great experience working with them.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

The only advice I would give is that you should definitely work with them. I don’t think there is a better team out there for CRO services but do so when you are ready. You should have steady sales; things should be continuous, and you should be able to afford their service for several months. It should not be something that you should do when you are struggling with sales.
