I needed help developing and launching a new website.

What was the scope of their involvement?

ControlF5 handled the full website project from start to finish. The team began by designing the entire site layout and user experience in Figma, based on my vision and goals. Once the design was approved, they built the site in Go High Level (TutorBoss) to integrate with my CRM and automations.

ControlF5’s work included custom website design in Figma, a full site build in GHL, creating custom-coded sections where needed for layout and functionality, and setting up automated workflows and forms for lead generation and contact. The team also implemented SEO-friendly meta tags, responsiveness, and a clean, professional look.
I had several clear goals for the project: 

• Organize and clearly present both our Homeschool Hybrid and Tutoring Program
• Highlight our student success stories and credentials
• Make it easy for families to book consultations and access information about our offerings
• Build in Go High Level (TutorBoss) to integrate with our existing systems
• Optimize for SEO and ensure a mobile-friendly, professional design
• Reflect our brand colors and aesthetic to maintain a cohesive online presence

I worked with a team of three people from ControlF5 during the project.

How did you come to work with ControlF5?

I found ControlF5 on Upwork. The team had outstanding reviews on the platform. After our initial complimentary Zoom meeting, I felt confident they truly understood my vision and had the skills to bring it to life. I also appreciated that they made a free mockup for me before we moved forward with the contract. 

How much have you invested with them?

I spent $750 with ControlF5- $800+ with fees.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project lasted from late April–June 2025.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They delivered a complete, functional, and branded website that reflects my business and supports future growth.
Since the website just launched recently, it’s a bit early to measure long-term outcomes like increased traffic or conversions. However, the design and functionality fully match the goals I set. The site is now much more professional, easy to navigate, and aligned with my brand.

Going forward, I plan to track how many people visit the site, how long they stay, and whether they complete actions like filling out a form or booking a call. I’ll also be watching for an increase in inquiries and enrollments that come directly through the website. In addition to data, I’m paying attention to feedback from families about how easy the site is to use and whether it clearly explains our programs.

How did ControlF5 perform from a project management standpoint?

ControlF5 initially quoted the project at 15 working days, but it ended up taking longer than expected. Some of the delay was on my end; I wasn’t always quick to provide feedback or copy. However, there were also some delays on their side. That said, the team stayed responsive throughout, and I never felt like the project was neglected. In the end, I didn’t mind the extra time because I was really happy with how the site turned out.

Our main form of communication was through the Upwork team chat, which made it easy to stay in touch and share updates. We also had a few Zoom meetings for walkthroughs and check-ins. I used Loom to send video feedback whenever I needed to explain something visually. Overall, it was a smooth and collaborative process.

What did you find most impressive about them?

What impressed me most about ControlF5 was their willingness to stick with the process until I was completely satisfied. I was pretty particular about a lot of design details, and they never pushed back. The team just kept making adjustments until everything looked and worked the way I envisioned. Their patience, flexibility, and commitment to getting it right really stood out.

Are there any areas they could improve?

One area for improvement would be setting clearer expectations around timelines and providing more proactive updates when delays happened. While I know some of the slowdown was on my end, there were times I would have appreciated more consistent check-ins from their side. That said, they were always responsive when I reached out, and in the end, the quality of the work made the extended timeline worth it.

ControlF5 was responsible for creating the full website design, including the homepage and internal pages. They also supported me with technical tasks, setting up various sections like listing pages, filters, search functions, and visual elements. The main deliverables included Figma design files and guidance during implementation.

ControlF5 helped me implement more complex website sections, such as custom-designed boxes containing multiple elements like icons, images, text, and buttons. They supported me in building advanced layouts that required precision and a good understanding of structure and design. Their guidance made the difficult parts of the development process much easier.

Three team members from ControlF5 worked on my project, including a designer, a developer, and a project coordinator.

I didn’t have a fixed budget for the entire project — I preferred to work based on my needs. ControlF5 charged $50 per page, which was very reasonable and fit well with what I was looking for.

The project started around May 2025, and it’s ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I don’t have measurable results yet because the project is still in progress and hasn’t fully launched. However, based on the design quality, the speed of execution, and the smooth progress so far, I can already say I’m very satisfied with the outcome.

What impressed me most was how quickly they delivered high-quality work. The homepage was ready in just a day and a half, and it looked clean, modern, and well-structured. They paid great attention to every detail and really understood what I had in mind. Everything was done efficiently and without delays.

How did ControlF5 perform from a project management standpoint?

My overall experience with ControlF5 was excellent. Their communication was clear, professional, and fast. They were always available to answer my questions, explain things, and make changes when needed. I really felt like I had a reliable team working with me throughout the entire process.

It's a bit hard for me to estimate the full timeline, but everything was done very quickly. For example, the homepage was ready in just a day and a half, and the rest of the work also progressed at a very fast pace. ControlF5 definitely exceeded my expectations when it came to speed and meeting deadlines.
