Introduce your business and what you do there.

I'm the marketing director at e-days Absence Management. We provide HR solutions through staff leave tracking and absence management to ensure great management of staff wellbeing.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with CommsCo?

We needed support in increasing our press interest by getting the word out about our business.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

CommsCo provides us with PR support as part of their main services based on our ongoing contract, but they're also in charge of optimizing and managing our social media pages. Part of their tasks also include doing forward feature tracking and pitching — their team identifies areas where we might be fit for comment, and they will pitch us in to do that. As for content management, CommsCo produces content for our blogs and press releases, which are released every month.

We work with three resources from CommsCo.

How did you come to work with CommsCo?

We already had an ongoing contract with them when I was onboarded, so I wasn’t involved in the selection process. I was happy to contact them again for contact renewal because I've witnessed how hard they work to deliver quality results.

How much have you invested in them?

Our monthly contract amounts to £4,500 (approximately $6,200 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

I started working with them in June 2020, and our partnership is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We've hit our personal best in terms of PR tier one coverage last May, and that's all thanks to CommsCo. In line with that, we've also secured 16 impressions for media coverage, compared to the usual 12 that we got over the past year.

How did CommsCo perform from a project management standpoint?

CommsCo is a communicative team with strong project management skills. We have regular calls and meetings, and their team never fails to come prepared with fresh ideas and a detailed agenda. I'm impressed with their systematic approach — they're not afraid to follow up on my team for our deliverables, and they organize all their tasks well to streamline each phase of the project.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I've worked with several huge and one-person agencies before, but I'm confident to say that CommsCo is on top of the PR game. They pitch creative ideas and sense marketable stories from miles away without inconveniencing our team. We've seen very apparent results early on in the engagement, and it's amazing how their team has delivered that in a short period of time. CommsCo's talented and fast-paced resources have proven themselves to be committed to providing top-notch services despite the inevitable timeline and quality challenges brought about by the PR industry.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don't think there's an area that needs further improvement. I've been very happy with their work.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Hire CommsCo as a partner and not as a vendor that'll simply fulfill your needs. If you embrace your working relationship with their team and express the same commitment they have, the process will go quickly and smoothly.
