Commly supported a pet care brand with a PR project focused on building a media narrative and increasing brand visibility. This included brand briefing, key messaging, PR materials, and media outreach.
Commly delivered a professional, transparent, and effective PR project. The team quickly understood the client, built a credible media narrative, and secured meaningful coverage that strengthened visibility and credibility. The team was strategic, responsive, flexible, and easy to work with.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
AYLA.care is a premium pet care brand creating high quality freeze-dried nutrition for dogs and cats. We build products for pet parents who care deeply about quality, transparency, and the long-term wellbeing of their animals. As COO, I am responsible for operations, business development, partnerships, and supporting the company’s strategic growth together with the founding team.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Coly?
We wanted to strengthen AYLA.care’s visibility and credibility through professional PR. Our challenge was to communicate the story behind the brand in a way that would be clear, trustworthy, and interesting for the media. AYLA.care had several years of work, product development, values, and market experience behind it, but we needed a partner who could organize that story, identify the strongest media angles, and translate it into a credible PR narrative. We were looking for support that would go beyond standard publicity. We wanted strategic communication that could help position AYLA.care as a serious, high quality brand in the pet care market.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Commly handled the full PR process for AYLA.care. Their involvement started with a detailed brand briefing, where they took the time to understand our business, products, values, founder perspective, and market experience, which resulted in strong coverage across business, startup, trade, and lifestyle media.
They then helped us define the communication direction, identify strong media angles, prepare key messages and PR materials, and manage outreach to relevant journalists and media outlets.
A very important part of their work was translating several years of AYLA.care’s story into a clear, credible, and professional narrative. They also coordinated the review process with us, adjusted the materials when needed, and provided a summary of the media coverage after the campaign.
What is the team composition?
We worked mainly with Janek and Damian, who led the project on Commly’s side and were directly involved in strategy, briefing, PR narrative, materials, media outreach, and ongoing communication with us.
There were also two additional team members supporting the project, so the full team consisted of around four people. What was important for us was that the project was led by senior, highly professional people who were very hands-on and engaged throughout the cooperation. We felt that we were working directly with experienced partners, not only with an execution team.
How did you come to work with Coly?
We came to work with Commly through a referral. They were recommended to us by someone we trusted, and from the first conversation we felt there was a strong culture fit. What convinced us was not only their PR experience, but also the way they listened, understood our business, and quickly connected with the story behind AYLA.care. We felt they could become a real partner in shaping our communication, not just a service provider executing standard PR activities.
What is the status of this engagement?
The engagement has ended. The project started in May 2026 and finished in July 2026.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The strongest evidence of the impact was the media coverage Commly secured for AYLA.care. The campaign resulted in publications across business, startup, trade, and lifestyle media, including Rzeczpospolita in both print and online, PAP, PAP Biznes, MyCompany Polska, MamStartup, MamBiznes, Brief.pl, Wiadomości Handlowe, AIN, Echo Media, Zwierciadło, Strona Kobiet, I.pl, and Super Express online.
For us, the value of this PR work went beyond the number of publications. PR does not always create benefits that are immediately measurable or easy to attribute, but a few months after the campaign we could clearly see its business impact. After the publications, we noticed increased visibility around AYLA.care.
This included more private messages, more conversations initiated by people who had seen or heard about the coverage, and stronger activity on LinkedIn. The media presence gave us a stronger external context and made the brand easier to explain, understand, and trust. The most important impact was visible in our business conversations.
The credibility created by this PR work strengthened our position in discussions with external partners and investors. In particular, we believe that without the visibility and independent media context built through Commly’s work, we would not have been able to move forward with our new investor in the same way. So the evidence of impact was both visible and strategic: strong media coverage, increased brand recognition, more organic interest around AYLA.care, and a real contribution to important business conversations.
How did Coly perform from a project management standpoint?
Commly performed very well from a project management standpoint. The process was clear, transparent, and well organized from the beginning. They started with a detailed briefing session, which was recorded and transcribed, so they could work precisely with the information we shared without repeatedly coming back to us for the same details.
This was very helpful because, as founders, we were handling many business topics at the same time. They guided us through each stage of the project - from the initial briefing and preparation of materials to the review process, media outreach, and final coverage summary. We always knew what the next steps were, what they needed from us, and how the work was progressing.
Their project management had a very practical impact: it saved our time, reduced unnecessary back-and-forth, and helped us move from a broad, complex brand story to ready-to-use PR materials and media outreach very efficiently. Feedback rounds were focused and productive, and they were able to quickly turn our comments into improved materials.
They delivered everything on time and were very responsive throughout the cooperation. What we especially appreciated was that they combined speed with quality. The work moved forward efficiently, but it never felt rushed or superficial. They also understood the reality of working with a startup. Many topics were handled directly by the founders, priorities sometimes shifted, and decisions required flexibility. Commly approached this with patience, professionalism, and a partner-like attitude, while still keeping the project on track.
What did you find most impressive about them?
What impressed us most was how quickly Commly turned a broad and complex brand story into a clear PR narrative that journalists could understand and use. AYLA.care has several years of product development, quality standards, founder experience, market education, and emotional context behind it. Commly was able to organize all of that into communication that was simple, credible, and media-relevant. A very specific example was their briefing process.
After one detailed conversation, supported by a recording and transcription, they were able to capture the essence of our brand with surprising accuracy. They did not need endless explanations from us, and they quickly understood what made AYLA.care different: the quality of our products, our values, our founder perspective, and the trust we are building in the pet care market. We were also impressed by their ability to choose the right angles for different types of media.
The story was not presented in one generic way. They adapted the narrative so it could work for business, startup, trade, and lifestyle outlets. This helped us secure coverage in places such as Rzeczpospolita, including the printed edition, PAP, MyCompany Polska, MamStartup, MamBiznes, Wiadomości Handlowe, Zwierciadło, and others.
Another thing that stood out was their balance between creativity and credibility. They saw opportunities we would not have identified ourselves, but they never pushed the story into exaggeration or empty PR language. The communication remained factual, trustworthy, and aligned with our brand. For us, this was the most impressive part: Commly did not just create PR materials or contact journalists. They helped translate the real value of AYLA.care into a narrative that made the brand easier to understand, easier to trust, and more visible to the right audiences.
Are there any areas they could improve?
There were no major areas we would point to as a real issue. The cooperation was professional, transparent, and effective, and overall we were very satisfied with both the process and the results. If we had to suggest one area for future improvement, it would be more structured post-campaign analytics and impact reporting.
Commly provided us with a helpful summary of the publications, but for future projects it could be valuable to also include more detailed insights around media reach, mentions, engagement, and the longer-term business impact of the campaign.
PR results are not always immediately measurable, so a more detailed final impact summary would help founders and management teams better understand, present, and use the value created by the campaign internally. That said, this is more of a suggestion than a criticism. Commly’s work was on a very high level, especially compared with other PR collaborations we had experienced before.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Our advice would be to treat Commly as a strategic partner, not just as an external PR supplier. Give them the full context of your business, your goals, your challenges, and the story behind the brand, because they are very good at turning complex input into a clear and credible media narrative. It is also worth being open and honest during the briefing process.
The more they understand the company from the inside, the better they can identify strong media angles and opportunities that founders or internal teams may not see themselves. For startups especially, we would say: do not wait until everything is perfectly organized before starting PR. Commly understands the dynamics of startup life, works well with founders, and can help bring structure, clarity, and credibility to the communication process. The tough life of startup founders is simply a bit easier with them.
