BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

I'm the owner of a digital marketing company in Portsmouth, Rhode Island. I'm responsible for all the day to day services I provide to my various clients which stretch across several industries such as music, restaurants, civil engineering and more.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Collective Thought Media?

Collective Thought Media was recently hired to provide pre-production, production and editing services for my client who manages a young musician.

What were your goals for this project?

Our main goal was to create and promote a professional looking video that we could use as an ad on Facebook. The idea was to have it be seen by over 1 million people ages 16-23 in thirteen different English speaking countries.

How did you select Collective Thought Media?

We've worked with Collective Thought Media several times over the past decade so it was a no brainer to hire Chris and his team again for this project.

Describe the video(s) and the process in detail.

Collective Thought Media was tasked to shoot video on two separate dates and at several different locations. They worked with my client and I directly to refine our storyboard, plan the logistics of filming and edit the final product in a timely manner. The shoots involved multi-camera angles and they even included some impressive drone footage which added an extra level of production value.

What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?

They were able to offer suggestions on-location and worked very closely with my client and I during the editing process to ensure that we were being delivered the exact product we wanted.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We've been able to engage hundreds of thousands of new fans using the video as an advertisement on Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, etc and were able to easily repackage it a little for a PS5, iPhone giveaway. I don't think the campaign would've had the same impact without the high quality video provided by Collective Thought Media.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

They were very upfront and transparent throughout the whole process which led to a smooth workflow between all parties involved.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

My client and I were blown away by how great the final video ended up looking. He was the manager of John Cafferty & The Beaver Brown Band (aka Eddie & The Cruisers) in the 1980s and said that they used to spend $125k+ on videos back then that didn't look anywhere near as good as what Collective Thought Media gave us for a fraction of that old cost.

Are there any areas for improvement?

No, we couldn't of been happier with the product that we got.
