Response time was very short, we were consulted on every step on the way with very detailed explanations in case a decision to be made had any trade offs we should be aware of.

Delivery speed was very high, in some times we were a bottleneck to accomodate for all those changes.

I’m the CTO of an IT services company. We partner with startups and companies to design, develop, and launch digital products, offering end-to-end tech expertise and ongoing support to help businesses grow and adapt their products.

What challenge were you trying to address with CodeNex?

We needed help with the DevOps part of a project. More specifically, we needed help migrating a project from an AWS ECS setup to an AWS EKS setup.

What was the scope of their involvement?

CodeNex migrated a project from an AWS ECS setup to an AWS EKS setup. The team also created multiple staging environments, migrated the deployment logic from GitHub Actions to Jenkins for all staging environments and the production environment, made the production environment horizontally scalable, and optimized AWS costs. CodeNex handled almost all of the tasks and needed minimal project-specific information from us.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

CodeNex completed all the tasks with little support from our side. The team moved from one to five staging environments and reduced the monthly costs by around 30%. The system could also automatically scale when specific CPU or RAM thresholds were met.

How did CodeNex perform from a project management standpoint?

CodeNex delivered 99% of the work on time. When the team didn’t meet the timeline, they informed us and explained the reason. We communicated via virtual meetings and email or messaging apps.

What did you find most impressive about them?

CodeNex’s proactiveness and technical independence were impressive. The team needed only minimal support regarding the project.
